But in no case should you think that aluminum will wear out quickly, and the appearance of the iPhone will lose its attractiveness, because the younger models of these smartphones had the same aluminum frame, and there were no complaints about the rapid wear of the edges.
As for the dimensions of the new iPhone XR, they are slightly larger than those of the iPhone X. All thanks to the almost frameless and elongated display.
The display of this model is large and covers almost the entire 6.1-inch front panel. Side frames, as well as their lower part, are practically absent, and there are no home buttons at all. There is a fairly large cutout at the top of the display, on which the speaker and sensors with the camera are located. In addition, instead of Touch ID, located in the home button, Face ID was added, the sensors of which are located at the top of the display and are responsible for the revolutionary face recognition technology.
The location of the function buttons and ports remains standard for Apple smartphones. The top edge of the smartphone is empty, while on the bottom you can find a Lightning port and symmetrical speaker grilles. On the left side there are volume control buttons and a silent mode switch. On the opposite side, there is a lock and power button with a tray for a SIM card.
The bottom line is the iPhone with an increased size compared to the iPhone X and a wide variety of colors, which is good news. In addition to the standard black and white, bright yellow, blue, coral and red colors appeared in the smartphone line.
The case is completely sealed and protected from dust and water ingress to the IP67 standard. With dust, everything is clear, but with moisture, it’s a little different. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone can be kept under water at a depth of up to a meter for as much as 30 minutes, but I would not check it and just limit myself to protection from rain and humid air.

If we compare the performance and autonomy of different iPhones, it will be clear that the more powerful the device, the more battery it consumes. In our case, the iPhone XR outperforms the iPhone 8 Plus by a full hour and a half of battery life. And the battery capacity was 2942 mAh.
Fast charging is also included, which will provide a 0-50% battery charge in just 30 minutes. There is also support for wireless charging, but with normal power.
Here we come to the main advantages of the iPhone XR model. Its almost bezel-less display occupies 82% of the entire front surface and has an aspect ratio of 18: 9.
