How to send photos from phone to phone

How to send photos from phone to phone

Hello! Today we consider 4 ways to send pictures to your phone through a computer (PC). Already know that this can be done via the Internet or a regular local connection?

Already, many people know how to drop photos from a phone into a laptop or desktop PC. However, when sending pictures from a global network to a mobile, questions may arise. In fact, there are several options for sending photos to your phone from a computer.

Classic Method. USB Connection

This method is the simplest of all existing and at the same time the most “ancient”. Images are transferred from a computer to a phone for free using a USB cable, which is included with many modern mobile phones. This will require:

  • Connect the cable to PC and mobile. A media device or removable disk will appear on the device’s monitor. We open.
  • Mark the necessary photos and save them to your computer. To do this, right-click on the selected photos and click “copy”. Then in the desired location (folder, on the desktop, etc.), click the same mouse button on an empty place and click “paste”. Copy speed is largely dependent on PC performance.

If the phone is displayed as a “portable player” or media device, then when you try to take a photo, a message may appear stating that the operation cannot be performed. In this case, it is already possible to consider the alternatives presented below.

However, first I’ll tell you good news in connection with the topic of the blog and the high relevance of employment issues. Do you want to get normal money on a part-time or basic employment via the Internet?

Wi-Fi data transfer

If your smartphone and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi router, you can drop photos or images through the local network for free. This may require the installation of additional software. The list of options and options depends on the current hardware configuration.

Sending pictures through the website of the service provider

It is very convenient to send photos for free using the website of the telephone network operator, if this feature is supported by them. The sequence of actions may look something like this:

  • Enter the official website of your operator;
  • Select the appropriate section;
  • Make a text and insert a picture;
  • Indicate the number of the subscriber to whom the message is intended (one’s, relatives, friends);
  • Enter verification code for sending MMS;
  • Click OK.

This method is very convenient for sending holiday greetings to relatives, friends, colleagues or acquaintances. At the same time, the fact that sending such an MMS message is quite convenient is very attractive.

Bluetooth photo transfer

To transfer photos from your computer to your phone using Bluetooth, you must enable this feature on both devices. At the same time, if the mobile phone has not worked with this computer or laptop before, then you may need to go into the settings and make the device visible. When the connection is established, you can start transferring files.

There is nothing complicated about sending photos from a computer to a phone. You just need to choose the most convenient way.

This description of 4 options is completed. In conclusion, there is one interesting question. Want to know how people make money on the Internet? What are the normal prospects at all? A number of interesting details are contained in this publication.

Information about them regularly appears on this blog. It is dedicated to work and finance on the Internet. You can read more about the project right now. Perhaps you will find the most suitable option for you to receive the main or additional income on the network.

The plans include regular publication of new materials. Subscribe. Before communication.

In general, I don’t know if this article can be useful to someone, since transferring files to the phone usually does not pose any problems. Nevertheless, I undertake to write about it, during the course of the article I will talk about the following things:

  • Transfer files over the wire via USB. Why files are not transferred via USB to the phone in Windows XP (for some models).
  • How to transfer files over Wi-Fi (two ways).
  • Transferring files to your phone via Bluetooth.
  • Sync files using cloud storage.

In general, the outline of the article is outlined, I’m getting started. Read more interesting articles about Android and the secrets of its use here.

Transferring files to and from your phone via USB

This is perhaps the easiest way: just connect the phone to the computer’s USB port with a cable (the cable is included with almost any Android phone, sometimes it is part of the charger) and it can be defined in the system as one or two removable drives or as a media device. Depending on the version of Android and the specific phone model. In some cases, on the phone screen, you will need to click the “Turn on USB drive” button.

Phone memory and SD card in Windows Explorer

In the example above, a connected phone is defined as two removable drives. One corresponds to a memory card, the other to the phone’s internal memory. In this case, copying, deleting, transferring files from the computer to the phone and vice versa is carried out in the same way as in the case with a regular flash drive. You can create folders, organize files in a way that is convenient for you and perform any other actions (it is advisable not to touch the application folders created automatically, unless you know exactly what you are doing).

Android device is defined as a portable player

In some cases, the phone in the system can be defined as a media device or “Portable player”, which will look something like the one in the picture above. By opening this device, you can also access the internal memory of the device and the SD card, if available. In the case when the phone is defined as a portable player, when copying certain types of files, a message may appear stating that the file cannot be played or opened on the device. Do not pay attention to this. However, in Windows XP this can lead to the fact that you simply cannot copy the files you need to your phone. Here I can advise either to change the operating system to a more modern one, or use one of the methods that will be described later.

How to transfer files to your phone via Wi-Fi

Transferring files over Wi-Fi is possible in several ways. In the first, and perhaps the best of them, the computer and the phone must be on the same local network. I.E. Connected to the same Wi-Fi router, or you should enable Wi-Fi distribution on the phone, and connect to the created access point from the computer. In general, this method will work over the Internet, but in this case registration will be required, and file transfer will be slower, since the traffic will go through the Internet (and with a 3G connection it will also cost a lot).

Access Android files through a browser in Airdroid

Directly to access the files on your phone, you will need to install the AirDroid application on it, which can be downloaded for free from Google Play. After installation, you can not only transfer files, but also perform many other actions with the phone. Write messages, view photos, etc. Details about how this works I wrote in the article Remote control of Android from a computer.

In addition, you can use more sophisticated methods to transfer files over Wi-Fi. The methods are not quite for beginners, and therefore I won’t explain them too much, I’ll just hint how else this can be done: those who need it themselves will easily understand what they mean. These methods are:

  • Install FTP Server on Android to access files via FTP
  • Create shared folders on the computer, access them using SMB (supported, for example, in ES File Explorer for Android

Bluetooth file transfer

In order to transfer files via Bluetooth from a computer to a phone, simply turn on Bluetooth on both, also on the phone, if it has not previously been paired with this computer or laptop, go to the Bluetooth settings and make the device visible. Further, in order to transfer a file, right-click on it and select “Send“. “Bluetooth Device”. In general, that’s all.

Transferring files to your phone via BlueTooth

On some laptops, programs can be pre-installed for more convenient file transfer via BT and with more features using Wireless FTP. Such programs can also be installed separately.

Using Cloud Storage

If you are not using any of the cloud services, such as SkyDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or Yandex Disk, then it’s time to. Believe me, this is very convenient. Including in those cases when you need to transfer files to your phone.

In the general case, which is suitable for any cloud service, you can download the corresponding free application on your Android phone, run it with your credentials and get full access to the synchronized folder. You can view its contents, change it or download data to yourself on phone. Depending on which particular service you use, there are additional features. For example, in SkyDrive you can access all the folders and files on your computer from your phone, and in Google Drive you can edit documents and spreadsheets in the storage directly from your phone.

Access Computer Files on SkyDrive

I think these methods will be enough for most purposes, but if I forgot to mention some interesting option, be sure to write about it in the comments.

And suddenly it will be interesting:

Please tell me, on the tablet I installed the HM songbook application, to add my songs to it you need to copy files from the computer to the application folder, when I open the contents of the tablet via USB, there is no application folder, it does not find it through the folder search either. Android also works on the phone, but not on the tablet, what could be the catch?

07/30/2016 at 08:54

See in which mode the tablet is connected. Must be MTP, not PTP

08/12/2016 at 02:44

I did not understand why a smartphone (Samsung Galaxy 3) is not connected to the computer (Windows XP). That I haven’t tried but can’t see my computer as equipment. Rather sees but does not connect. Can you tell me what the problem is?)
he writes found new equipment MTP Device but he does not see it as disks

08/12/2016 at 08:56

Install the MTP driver for Windows XP, from here: microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.Aspx?Id=19153

07/29/2019 at 17:03

I have the same problem. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy s7, and I connect it to the laptop via USB, and the laptop does not see it. I installed MTP, but it doesn’t help. When connected to a laptop, it says “USB device is not recognized.” I don’t know what to do anymore, please reply as soon as possible

07/30/2019 at 08:05

And on another computer, is it possible to check the same phone? If it’s the same there, but the choice of the type of connection via usb does not appear on the phone, then the matter is in the cable or in the connector on the phone.

08/29/2019 at 22:04

On Galaxy 3, go into developer mode by making 7 ups on the kernel version, then enable USB debugging. Then the computer should see. The latest version (July 2019) of the MyPhoneExplorer program should also see the internal memory and SD card. Google, download and install. You should also have programs for connecting the phone with a laptop from the manufacturer Samsung.

11/30/2016 at 20:48

If it helps someone, you can transfer files from Windows XP to your phone via USB! On the phone itself, you need to switch the connection mode from the “media device” to the “USB” drive mode.

12/01/2016 at 09:21

Unfortunately, on most modern devices, this item is missing. Earlier. Yes, it was possible.

12.12.2016 at 20:08

Hello. My problem is that my pc does not see the samsung galaxy phone connected via usb wire and I can’t transfer the data from the phone to the PC. There used to be widows xp., And now win.10.

12/13/2016 at 09:44

Does the device manager somehow display the phone? And on the phone itself, connection notifications appear? It may also help here: https://remontka.Pro/computer-ne-vidit-telefon/

Hello, I just didn’t find the article, please tell me if I want to flash the aneroid easily through the computer, and why it’s impossible to upload firmware without a computer and you need to do some other manipulations after the firmware has been loaded. It’s just that the android sometimes reboots itself bought two months ago. I thought the firmware flew.

12.24.2016 at 06:51

Hello.
Judging by your comment, flashing phones is not something that you are good at and I would not advise you to flashing, it is easy to hurt or be left without a phone (and it is unlikely that you have flown off). In general, I have no instructions on this topic. And so you can search the Internet Firmware phone model. But again: I do not advise.
You can try resetting your phone to the factory settings and see if this solves the problem.

12/25/2016 at 21:36

I understood. Thank you very much for your help. Happy New Year!

12/25/2016 at 23:26

The problem is this. I have a Xiaomi Mi Pad-1 64GB tablet
There was a need to completely clear the internal memory. In the internal memory there are folders with a large number of photos, drawings, drawings, diagrams and other craps. Dzhepeg-i, gif-s, pdf.
I connect the tablet to the PC.
I select the folder and give the command to move it to the PC
A moveable folder appears on the PC.
In this case, only part of the files are moved, the movement is interrupted
All files remained in the source folder. For some reason they are not moved but copied!
In order not to lose the necessary files, you have to start copying again.
I select part of the files, start moving, the same thing happens: the copying starts, the files appear in the destination folder, the copying is interrupted at some point, the files of their original folder do not decrease. Everyone remains in it!
In general, it turns out that the PC flatly refuses to copy / move part of the files.
You have to find these files one at a time. That is, when copying has stopped, you have to move the files one at a time until the file that is not copied is found by typing.
After I found this file, I don’t touch it, I note another dose of the files and give the command to move.
Everything is the same: in the next batch of files some kind of “curve” file comes across that interferes with the movement, again it has to be caught by typing.
As a result, I transferred some kind of golem 20-30 gig files for two days from the tablet to the PC from early morning until late at night, and probably still did not transfer half!

Have you ever heard of such a problem?
How can it be solved?

12/26/2016 at 08:13

Hello. I have not heard about the problem (but in general this occurs when there are problems with the cable, USB port). In general, I recommend trying not to transfer, but to copy. And only then, using the file manager on the device itself, delete the copied files.

12/27/2016 at 14:38

If we were talking about a hundred or two files, this method could well be used.
But when in a folder there are 2-3 thousand files, copying and then checking one by one in two folders. And even when long file names with the same beginning. This is the same as copying 2-3. One thousand at a time.
I just copied the next folder from 2.5 thousand files in the morning and before lunch (small-medium size jepeg pictures, maximum 500 mb), there are 44 files left in the folder which are not copied and not moved. All of them went randomly scattering throughout the folder among other files. Which are copied.
It was not possible to notice some distinguishing feature of these files. The name, properties, something else.
Why they are not copied or moved is not clear. I select the file, the command “copy”. “paste”. Zero in phase; I give the command “move”. zero in phase; I give the command “cut”. “paste”. Zero in phase!
As a result, you have to catch these files one at a time and then transfer them from the tablet to the PC via e-mail.
Darkness!

12/28/2016 at 11:04

Hm. Strange and I will not give an answer here.
But I just remembered that such a thing happens on MacOS (which basically is related to Android). It also happens there, if you copy, say, the contents of the ISO image with thousands of files, then on some files the bam is interrupted, and only manually identify these files and copy one at a time. I did not find the nature of the glitch (certainly not the path length, file type, name features), but I found that if you do the same using the MacOS terminal (command line), the error disappears.
Update: no, I’m deceiving, there I decided not to copy the contents of the mounted image through the terminal, but by the “unpacking” image of the image to the desired location, this does not apply to you.

Good afternoon, I have such a problem: I connect the phone to the laptop via USB, the laptop sees all the folders and files, when I start to copy the file (any) to the phone. The copy window opens and somewhere in the middle or at the beginning hangs (freezes), if I click cancel, then after this laptop. Sees the folders on the phone, but there are no files and then the explorer freezes. Before that, I cleaned the laptop. Here with this program. AusLogics BoostSpeed (before everything was copied normally to the memory card in the phone). Please tell me what can be done.

02/07/2017 at 09:27

Anastasia, for me the situation is strange and there is no speculation that this can be, provided that there is enough space on the phone, and everything is being copied to it from other sources.

03/08/2017 at 04:50

I have the same thing and freezes

04/08/2017 at 17:50

Thank! The method with Google Drive helped!

04/25/2017 at 09:02

Phone folders are visible on the computer; files are not transferred to the phone. The “Paste” function does not light up.

04/25/2017 at 09:13

And if without “insert” you transfer the mouse from another folder from the computer with the mouse? Works?

06/24/2017 at 12:37

And when I connect a VergeM smartphone to a computer via a USB cable, the smartphone charges safely, but it does not appear in the computer as a connected device! How then to transfer files ??

Hello, samsung j1 2016 phone on windows 10 (license if that). The computer determines when the phone is connected via usb, everything is OK on the phone, it costs MTP when I start copying individual files (photos, pictures, media), the folders where they are stored (folders from vatsap, telegram, gallery) or the entire folder (completely WhatsApp folder for example), then copying does not occur and the message “access to the file is denied” or “cannot find the path to the file” appears. What is the problem and how to solve?

Acer laptop. Smartphone fly. Paired for transferring files via Bluetooth. But when transferring, a splash screen appears in the smartphone. To connect to the acer device, an access code should be displayed on it (several code digits are given). How and where to enter this code?

As a rule, they are entered on the phone in the dialog box, i.E. On the computer screen are displayed on the phone are entered.

06/20/2018 at 12:40

Is it possible to check on another computer? If there is the same, it could be the cable or connector on the phone to blame.

01/26/2020 at 15:28

Check the USB port on your PC. There were problems with detection, and with file transfer, etc. Rearranged to a USB port located directly on the “motherboard”. Everything is OK.

10/26/2018 at 13:53

Hello.
I know that it is possible to enter the phone through bluetooth, like through a cable.
With the ability to view directories, “normal” file transfers, etc.
Just don’t know how it is configured. Is anyone strong at that? I need help!)

I tried for a long time to send files from Android 4.3 (Samsung i9300) to a computer with win2k via bluetooth (acorp wbd2-a2) using the standard file transfer service — the transfer failed (connection failure) until I turned on the PIM transfer service on the computer. In this case, the transfer from the computer to the phone was successful and without the inclusion of the PIM service
