Realme GT Neo 3T likely to have a special Dragon Ball Z themed variant
The upcoming Realme GT Neo 3T smartphone is likely to have a special Dragon Ball Z-themed variant. The Realme GT Neo 3T is set to be launched globally on June 7.
The special Dragon Ball Z-themed edition of the smartphone is expected to be launched alongside or a week after the launch of the vanilla Realme GT Neo 3T.
Powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC and paired with up to 12GB of RAM, the rumoured edition of the Dragon Ball Z-themed smartphone is expected to feature a colour tone based on the Dragon Ball Z protagonist Goku’s outfit from the popular anime series. However, Realme is yet to confirm any details related to the Realme GT Neo 3T Dragon Ball Z variant.
Tipster Mukul Sharma suggested the launch of the Realme Dragon Ball Z-themed edition. The reported launch of the Realme GT Neo 3T Dragon Ball Z-themed variant is coming after the launch of a Dragon Ball Z variant of Realme GT Neo 2 in January this year. Realme GT Neo 2 is available in a single 12GB RAM and 256GB RAM and storage variant.

The teaser post on confirms that the smartphone will feature support for 150W fast charging out of the box. The upcoming GT Neo 3T is speculated to launch as a rebranded Realme Q5 Pro that was launched in China.
In that case, the GT Neo 3T will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. The processor is expected to come coupled with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. There will be 128GB and 256GB of internal storage.
The Realme GT Neo 3T is expected to feature a 6.62-inch full-HD E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to feature a triple rear camera unit including the 64-megapixel primary camera. Other expected specifications include a 16-megapixel selfie camera, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

Ya teníamos ganas de que una edición especial de Dragon Ball llegase a España. Y es que, tras mirar con recelo el Realme GT Neo 2 de Dragon Ball Z. podemos presumir ya de tener disponible en nuestro país el Realme GT Neo 3T en todas sus variantes. Y sí, la edición especial de Goku incluida.
En Xataka Android hemos podido probar a fondo este terminal y, más allá de las particularidades de esta versión de Dragon Ball Z, lo cierto es que es un dispositivo del que podemos destacar muchos apartados. Te avanzamos que la mayoría es positivo, aunque también hay algún apartado que luce menos.

Imposible obviar a Goku en todos y cada uno de los apartados
Empecemos por el principio, que no es otro que el packaging personalizado en el que ya tenemos a Goku bien presente, algo que no cambia cuando abrimos la caja. Y es que en esta edición especial del Realme GT Neo 3T nos encontramos también con que el sobre donde se incluyen los manuales de uso también viene personalizado, incluyendo hasta 17 stickers y una carta personalizada para Realme de Dragon Ball Z.
El teléfono en sí, como habrás visto ya en las fotos, viene también dotado de ese diseño naranja con laterales azules, teniendo como detalle una botonera de volumen que se disimula con ese azul y un botón de desbloqueo en color naranja. Una estética que le sienta de maravilla y que puede gustar incluso a aquellos que no son fans del anime.
Obviando el apartado estético y centrándonos en características que comparte con cualquier otro Realme GT Neo 3T, debemos decir que es también un dispositivo que se hace muy cómodo en mano. Ya sea luciendo su diseño o con la funda de silicona que se incluye, no percibimos sus 194 gramos y medio. Además, tiene muy buen agarre.
La pantalla es una delicia en todos los apartados. Sus 120 Hz son suficientes para dar sensación de fluidez en cada apartado, como también su resolución FullHD para el consumo de contenido multimedia. A nivel de brillo flojea donde incluso los gama altas sufren: con la luz solar dándole de frente. Por tanto, tampoco es nada reprochable siendo este un gama media.
Donde si encontramos una pega importante (y previsible también) es en el sonido. Lejos de lo que esperábamos al tener un doble altavoz estéreo con Dolby Atmos, la calidad de sonido flojea mucho y especialmente en llamadas, donde el audio del interlocutor queda bastante enlatado. Y, por desgracia, el asunto no mejora en exceso en el consumo de música, series y películas.
Volando, volando, siempre arriba
Ver que un móvil cuenta con un chip lanzado hace año y medio puede significar dos cosas: que ese procesador sigue siendo muy bueno o que el dispositivo que lo monta no es un gama alta. En este Realme GT Neo 3T hay un poco de cada con el Snapdragon 870 5G, aunque más de lo primero, ya que su rendimiento nos ha dejado muy buen sabor de boca a todos los niveles.
Algo que nos ha sorprendido para bien y que hace bueno el apellido ‘GT’ de este móvil es su buena eficiencia energética, dado que gestiona muy bien la temperatura. Gracias a apps como CPU-Z, hemos podido ir controlando su temperatura y, pese a que en juegos de gran rendimiento se ha calentado, tampoco ha sido algo exagerado. Y más con el Modo juego que incorpora este dispositivo.
Luz, fuego y destrucción: este Realme GT Neo 3T ha hecho buen honor a su apellido ‘GT’ para actividades de gran exigencia como los juegos.
Y aunque su puntuación en benchmark no lo sea todo, lo cierto es que son datos siempre interesantes y especialmente para comparar con su hermano mayor, el Realme GT Neo 3 y otros terminales con chips similares al ya citado Snapdragon 870.

Otra buena alegría nos hemos llevado con su rapidísimo lector de huellas, ubicado bajo pantalla y con un reconocimiento que, más allá de la velocidad, es también eficaz en el reconocimiento. A diferencia de otros terminales de gama media en los que a veces ha sido necesario configurar dos veces una huella para evitar problemas, en este nos ha bastado con una sola.
Debemos dar una de cal y otra de arena con el software y es que Realme UI 3.0, capa basada en Android 12, es bastante limpia estéticamente con mucha similitud al Android más puro. Sin embargo, sigue pecando de traer apps no esenciales preinstaladas. La parte positiva es que trae mucho Material You adaptado para la ocasión con un juego de colores e iconos personalizados para hacer honor a ser una edición especial de Dragon Ball Z.
Y si hay algo en lo que brilla este dispositivo es por ofrecer una autonomía de escándalo incluso con los 120 Hz activos. Un servidor dejó el móvil completamente cargado antes de acostarse y, tras un día posterior de uso intensivo, llegué a las 10 de la noche con una batería del 19% y, según datos del propio panel de ajustes, con aguante para rato. 7 horas y media de pantalla que podrían haber sido unas cuantas más.
En tiempos de carga no nos encontramos la barbaridad de su hermano mayor con los 150 W, los cuales lo cargan por completo en solo un cuarto de hora. Sin embargo, no están mal sus datos teniendo en cuenta que en media hora ya nos da un 60% de batería con su adaptador de 80 W.
Con mucho margen de mejora en el apartado fotográfico
Conviene empezar, como siempre, hablando de la apariencia de la app de cámara nativa. Como en todos los móviles Realme y otros competidores en esta gama, destaca por una interfaz de cámara simple, pero efectiva. Nos pone a mano las principales modalidades de fotografía, incluyendo su modo Calle, el modo Noche o la posibilidad de hacer fotos de gran resolución con 64 megapíxeles. Tiene también su apartado Más con otras opciones, siendo ahí donde se esconde el modo macro. Modo que, en vistas de resultados que veremos a continuación, en parte es hasta mejor que esté ahí escondido.
En cuanto a resultados fotográficos, no podíamos esperarnos unas cámaras dignas de la gama más prémium. Sin embargo, los 500 euros de partida que tiene este Realme GT Neo 3T en esta edición especial nos han obligado a tampoco tener el listón bajo en cuanto a exigencia. En términos generales cumple con su cometido en situaciones favorables como exteriores diurnos, pero suspende claramente en otras circunstancias y especialmente si hablamos de la cámara frontal.
Poniendo como foco el nido de una cigüeña, pusimos a prueba las dos cámaras principales de este dispositivo. Lo más llamativo es que el zoom, que es completamente digital al no tener lente teleobjetivo, deja demasiado ruido y apenas ofrece detalle. Aunque esto era esperable, pero no tanto la diferencia de color entre la lente principal y la gran angular. No parece tan exgerado como lo visto en el Realme 9 4G, pero es cuanto menos llamativo el no haber implementado alguna corrección por software sabiendo ya de antemano que son lentes de diferente procedencia. En cualquier caso, tampoco son malos resultados por si mismos.
Cabe destacar que el modo de 64 megapíxeles tiene muy poca estabilidad, dejando con ello resultados que pese a parecer que muestra más detalle, deja demasiada distorsión. Y pensarás que quizás es algo puntual o fruto de un mal pulso. Sin embargo, repetimos la instantánea en estas y otras situaciones obteniendo resultados similares. Desconocemos si una futura actualización de software podrá corregir esto, pero es cuanto menos deseable que así sea.
Los resultados obtenidos por la cámara selfie nos sorprendieron mucho. Y no para bien precisamente. En exteriores y con buena luz solar, la captación de color y el nivel de detalle obtenido brillan por su ausencia. En interiores el color mejora y la sensación general también, pero se siguen viendo resultados muy poco nítidos.
Tocaba retomar las cámaras traseras para probar el siempre interesante modo retrato. Y vaya. Los resultados hablan por sí solos, pecando de hacer un recorte malo y excesivamente artificial a la par que muestra un nulo grado de detalle en el objeto (en este caso, el rostro de un servidor) Ni siquiera la mosca que casualmente quiso posar en el pelo en ese momento sale bien favorecida. Por destacar algo positivo en este punto, diremos que captó muy bien el color y el nivel de desenfoque del fondo no es tampoco malo.
Viendo lo visto en el retrato de las traseras y el mal comportamiento de la cámara selfie en circunstancias normales, poco esperábamos de este modo en la lente delantera. Sin embargo, para nuestra sorpresa, hace mejor recorte la cámara frontal que las traseras. Vale, es verdad que sigue siendo malo, que el nivel de detalle del sujeto deja que desear, pero incluso con esas mejora lo visto en la trasera.
Nos quedaba por probar la tercera lente en discordia, la macro. Cumple con el cometido de agrandar elementos que son pequeños, pero ofrece un resultado que en este caso es demasiado típico en móviles de estas gamas: ofrecer un nivel de ruido por encima de lo esperado, haciendo que realmente la inclusión de una lente resulte más vistoso sobre el papel que en la práctica. Eso sí, con objetos más grandes no encontramos ese problema, por lo que es un casi-macro.
Cae la noche y con ello la luz natural, teniendo únicamente la luz de las farolas y los coches como iluminación. Sin modalidad de captura fotográfica adaptada, este móvil flojea como todos. Ahora bien, con el modo noche activo mejora considerablemente la cosa ofreciendo un aumento de luminosidad muy natural, sin extravagancias que lo hagan parecer exagerado por la sobreexposición. Sin embargo, el nivel de detalle es muy malo y hay mucho ruido en la fotografía, por lo que tampoco es que pueda catalogarse como un buen modo noche.
En la frontal también encontramos un modo noche potenciado por la luz blanca de la pantalla. Como era de esperar después de tanta prueba, el resultado ofrece un nivel bajo de detalle, aunque una muy buena captación de luz. En este caso, y aunque siga siendo malo, podemos decir que es de lo más salvable del dispositivo teniendo en cuenta que esta es una modalidad que siempre va a ser la más floja de un móvil.
Ya como conclusión final del apartado fotográfico, no podemos hacer otra cosa que recalcar la decepción que sentimos ante los resultados. En la galería anterior habrás visto más ejemplos diversos de la cámara, llegando a captar fotos con un color muy bonito y natural, pero que queda lejos de lo que se espera en un móvil que sobrepasa los 400 euros y, en el caso de la edición de Dragon Ball, llega a los 500 euros.
Realme GT Neo 3T, la opinión de Xataka Android
Varios amigos muy fans del anime de Dragon Ball llevan semanas preguntándome si recomiendo o no este móvil. Y estoy seguro de que a estas alturas, seguramente tú también estés esperando una respuesta. Pues bien, es un móvil muy recomendable incluso para los que no sean fans de Goku y compañía, más sabiendo que hay una versión normal de este Realme GT Neo 3T (y más barata). Aunque es evidente que los más fanáticos disfrutarán el doble de este terminal por todo el customizado que lleva.
Quien se haga con este smartphone se llevará un dispositivo tremendamente eficiente en todos los apartados del rendimiento: lector de huellas rápido, procesador que cumple bien en juegos exigentes, cero problemas de lag, buena gestión de temperatura y una gran autonomía. Ahora bien, no es ni de lejos el más recomendable para quien guste de hacer fotos en vistas de los resultados. Si deseas una combinación más equilibrada en estos apartados, el Realme GT Neo 3 es mejor propuesta.

NewJeans’ new MV is shot entirely on an iPhone 14 Pro

NewJeans is one of the biggest sensations in K-Pop right now. Their hits include Attention, Ditto, OMG, and the all-time fave Hype Boy. All of which are infused with fresh, catchy, and playful vibes. All of that wrapped in a Y2K concept. It comes as no surprise that these power rookies are continuously dominating music charts, YouTube rankings, TikTok challenges, Instagram Reels and even setting trends in today’s style and fashion.
Quoting myself way back when the music video of OMG was released, I’m surprised to see how their label (ADOR, under HYBE LABELS) managed to put “iPhone“, “Siri“, and “iOS” in the music video since South Korea is very strict with brand/product placements — doesn’t matter if it’s an imagery or just the brand being mentioned in the lyrics.
It even came to a point where the Vietnamese-Australian member slash Gucci ambassador, Hanni, told her co-members that she “was actually an iPhone”.
Though if you’ve been keeping track of them since debut (myself included), you would notice how they’ve been consistently using iPhones and other Apple products in their music videos.

Heck, even a re-creation of iOS home screen in a massive scale was made just for their OMG music video.
Many months later, the group’s partnership with Apple has finally pushed through as the newly-released ‘ETA’ music video was shot entirely on an iPhone 14 Pro.
The Creative Process
With the laying foundation made by the renowned Korean film director Park Chanwook and his Shot on iPhone 13 Pro short film campaign “Life Is But A Dream”, ETA’s MV Director Shin Wooseok has applied the same process and used the new iPhone 14 Pro. After all, he directed OMG and Ditto so this was a totally new way to shoot a K-Pop music video.
The director said he used the camera features that can only be achieved using an iPhone 14 Pro. Its cameras and features emphasized the group’s dance performance, fashion style, as well as the music video storyline.
Also from the words of ADOR’s CEO and Executive Producer Min Heejin, they opted to stick with using an iPhone as their main filming tool instead of actually using filming equipment that are heavy and cluttered.
To be very specific, the dance sequences in the music video were shot using the Action Mode — which is a popular feature for shooting shaky footage in either 1080p Full HD or 2.8K resolution at 60fps with Dolby Vision HDR and Apple ProRes options. It’s very evident on those frames where they dance in a housewarming party but still clearly focused on the actions and movements of the five members.
Other than that, Cinematic Mode was also maximized to provide that cinematic-like depth effect. The iPhone’s new Sensor Shift OIS paired with its 48MP camera too were used to achieve stable footages in low-light.

…and even the edge of a cliff scene.
Other Apple-specific software features were used too such as FaceTime while the lyrics convey direct conversations and friendly vibe. Of course, it would be a huge miss without the inclusion of iOS’ signature camera app.
The power of iPhones and Gen Zs
With this Shot on iPhone campaign, more and more fans will be enticed to use iPhone. Especially with its Action Mode feature when filming popular K-Pop dance challenges. Even the BTS (Behind-The-Scenes) footage of how the choreography sequences were filmed using the said feature. The clips weren’t shaky and blurry at all.
so, ADOR’s CEO also stated that iPhones are mostly-associated now with the Gen Z population. NewJeans being Gen Zs themselves prove that iPhones are essential in one’s daily life of the modern-day youth.

Huawei Mate 60 series might have a Dynamic Island
A pill-shaped cutout is coming back
We’ve come a long way from the notch. Since the introduction of the controversial form factor, smartphones have iterated the design into separate islands, smaller punch holes, retracting mechanisms, and under-display cameras. Progress rarely goes backwards; however, when it does, there’s usually a good reason for it. Huawei is reportedly moving back to an older form of the notch, and there might be a reason why.
According to a few rumors from Weibo, Huawei is resurrecting the pill-shaped camera island for the Mate 60 series. After a brief respite in the Mate 50 series, the Mate 60 will return to its form from the Mate 40 series. Based on a few renders and leaked details, the camera island will have two selfie shooters and a 3D ToF sensor.
None of the reports actually say or speculate why Huawei might be going back to an older form factor. However, given the market now, there might be a good reason for the change.
Launched last year, the iPhone 14 series introduced the Dynamic Island. It was a unique take on the pill-shaped cutout design. Instead of being a static hole, the feature used the design to expand and showcase more details. Others have already copied the form factor. There’s even an app to replicate the feature in a normal phone.
A Huawei version isn’t too farfetched. In fact, the brand was also rumored to adopt the feature in the P60 series. It didn’t come to pass, but rumors of a Dynamic Island from the Chinese brands have been around for a while now.
