Canon color cartridge how to refuel. How to refuel a cartridge with your own hands

Instructions for refueling cartridges Canon PG-40, CL-41 PG-510, CL-511, PG-512, CL-513 for printers Canon Pixma MP140, MP190, MP210, MP220, MP240, MP250, MP260, MP270, MP280, MP450. MP460, IP1200, IP1300, IP1600, IP1700, IP1800, IP1900, IP2200, IP2500

Attention. An empty cartridge must be re.referred immediately after it has ended or after a small amount of time (several days, week). A long simple printer with empty cartridges will lead to the drying of the ink on the printing element of the cartridge, which will lead to a noticeable deterioration in the quality of the print. In addition, such cartridges cannot be reused.

And of course, the Canon cartridges themselves, which we will refuel.

It is better to start learning to refill cartridges from a black cartridge, t.to. It is easier in design (one color) and you will have more chances to get a positive result.

PG-37, PG-40, PG-50 cartridges: these cartridges are outwardly identical, differ only in capacity, PG-37 of the lowest capacity, PG-40 of the average, PG-50 of a large capacity, refueling process we will analyze the example of the PG-37 cartridge:

How To Refill A Canon CLI-551 Cartridge

Under the label you will see air holes and a special system of air channels.

To refuel the cartridge, it is necessary to expand the air holes, for example by a drill with a diameter of about 1-1.5 mm, an awl, a screwdriver or any other sharp object or a tool at hand, in the place of the red point, as shown in the figure.

Recommendation: To expand the gas station, do not use the needle that you plan to refuel the cartridge in the future, so as not to break or score it with plastic.

Try that plastic chips do not get into the cartridge when drilling. If all the same chips hit, then this is not very scary, t.to. Inside the cartridge there is a special sponge holding ink, as well as the filter protecting the print head.

About 10-12 ml of ink goes to one refueling of the black cartridge.

We take a syringe with a capacity of 10 ml, pick up about 10 ml into it, carefully insert the syringe needle into the hole until you feel that the needle rested on the sponge that is located inside the cartridge, passes half the sponge and slowly introduce the ink. The needle can be inserted all the way, not afraid to pierce the cartridge, in the figure the red line shows to which the sponge is located, which holds ink.

If you poured too much ink and they began to spill out of the expanded air opening, it’s not scary, just pump them back into the syringe and wipe the cartridge with a napkin.

After we have done this procedure, we take the cartridge for the upper part and easily shake down, if ink appeared on the print head, we repeat the procedure and pull a little more ink, do this until a drop on the print head appears after shaking the print. If the drop is no longer formed, then we check the mark that leaves the cartridge on the napkin. We lean the cartridge by the printing head against the napkin, and look that the fingerprint clearly coincides with the size of the print element in length. The print should be even, without gaps. If the gaps still take place, then I advise you to turn the cartridge with a print head up and drip a green “Mr. Muscle” on them, wait for the moment the “muscle” is absorbed into the print head and try to make an imprint on the napkin again, if there is no result, then repeat the procedure repeatedly.

That’s all, the cartridge is filled, it remains only to glue the label back and install the cartridge in the printer.

Attention! If you use adhesive tape instead of label, you should not seal all the air channels completely, you need to leave at least a small part of the air track open otherwise, there may be problems with printing.

After installing the cartridge in the printer, if necessary, turn off the monitoring control control of the ink levels, print the dozen checking page and clean the print head.

With cartridges 0 and 0, the processing process is exactly the same, the only difference is that they have more sponge, accordingly, they will keep ink more.

CL-38, CL-41, CL-51 cartridge: since we already know how to refuel black cartridges for these printers and All-in-One Printer, it will not be difficult for us to refuel color cartridges CL-38, CL-41, CL- 51.

For cartridges PG-510, PG-512, PG-37, PG-40, PG-50, CL-511, CL-513, CL-38, CL-41 The following color scheme is relevant:

The only difference in the gas station is that you will have to fill in ink not in one camera, but in three different cameras of different colors of ink. Now the most important thing is not to confuse them. The figure shows where and what color to fill in ink. I also ask you to pay attention to the fact that ink would be poured in moderation, and they do not flow from all sides. We do everything exactly as for a black cartridge only for each color separately. Pour 4 into each camera 4. 6 ml. See that after refueling from below, ink does not flow from the print head.

The figure shows in which place to make holes for refueling the photo of the Canon cartridge and what ink to fill in which holes, we will not describe in more detail the refueling process since everything is described above.

PG-510, PG-512 cartridges: For new printer models, Canon came up with a new design, their refinements affected not only the appearance of the printers, but also the cartridges that use these printers. The figure shows cartridge 10 (PG-510), it differs in appearance from the PG-37 cartridge, but the processing process is exactly the same. PG-512 cartridge is equivalent to the PG-40 cartridge, it has a sponge more volume than PG-510.

Canon color cartridge how to refuel

Let us consider in detail how to refuel new original Canon PG445 and CL446 cartridges.

3) 4 insulin syringes, or 4 ordinary syringes and a device for expanding holes in cartridges, for example, awl, drill, drill-kit.

1) omit the labels with cartridges and save them.

2) The photo below shows where the refueling hole of the black cartridge PG-445 is located. The hole is very small and the usual needle does not enter here. Therefore, the hole must either be expanded under a regular needle using an awl, drill or drill-kit, or refuel the cartridge with an insulin needle.

3) Now we collect ink in a syringe, insert the needle into the gas station and slowly fill the ink into the cartridge. Refill 10-12 ml. Ink.

4) after refueling, return the label to the place, or if the label is damaged, you can seal the cartridge with a patch.

5) Now let’s start refueling the color cartridges CL-446. The photo below indicates the location of the flowers.

6) the capacity of the colored cartridge is very small, so we refuel 2-4 ml. Ink every color. The process of refueling is similar to the black cartridge.

7) After refueling, we return the label to the place or seal the cartridge with leukoplastire.

8) after refueling, give the cartridges for several minutes, insert them into the printer and, if necessary, make cleaning.

If the cartridge refuel for the first time, it will be necessary to disable tracking the level of ink in the cartridge. A message will be displayed on the monitor that the ink has ended and to continue printing you need to clamp the “Stop” button for a few seconds. The ink counter is disconnected for both cartridges, t.e. This procedure will need to be done twice. In the future, cartridges should be refined in ink at the first signs of the end of ink, t.e. when the printer begins to print with stripes or passes.

The site administration is not responsible for the consequences of using materials taken on the site.

If you are printing a lot, it is more advisable to install the SNPC on your original cartridges and refuel the system 50 times less often cartridges.

Culing cartridge CL-511/CL-513

The refueling of these cartridges is identical to refueling cartridge 1

And of course, the Canon cartridges themselves, which we will refuel.

Binyl refueling standards and average infusion rate of ink into cartridges: CL-511. 3 ml of each color. 20 seconds CL-513. 4 ml of each color. 20 seconds

After the first refueling to continue printing, you will definitely have to turn off the control of the level of ink. Read more about this in the article Disabling the control of the level of ink in Canon printers.

Necessary materials and tools

For refueling cartridges Canon PG-510 (BLACK) and CL-511 Color (color), first of all, you need kolorway or ink-materials ink, as well as a number of tools:

The gas station sets includes a platform-holder with a hole for a syringe. Such a hole is hermetically connected to the nozzles of the print head, which allows, if necessary, it is easy to wash or pump out air after improper filling of ink. In computer stores, not only sets for refueling can be sold, but also syringes with ink.dummy ink.

Preparation for the process

  • Gently with the help of an acute stationery knife, remove the marking sticker.
  • At the upper part of the inkwell will be visible the refueling hole. In the black cartridge, it is one, in a color cartridge three.
  • If the diameter of the holes for refueling is too small, then they need to be increased with an awl or drill. The new diameter should be slightly wider than the thickness of the needle so that the air can come out during the gas station without creating internal pressure. It is necessary to drill carefully, given that the thickness of the plastic does not exceed 2-3 mm from above. It is not necessary to make efforts so as not to damage the adsorber (absorbent gasket) inside the cartridge.
  • The first to refuel black ink. The cartridge is held behind the sides, the syringe is inserted into the hole for a few centimeters deeper at an angle of 45⁰. The angle is needed in order not to damage the head and not to violate the integrity of the container for storing ink.
  • Ink must be introduced slowly, avoiding overflow. Excess paint is drawn back.
  • After the PG-510, you need to refuel the CL-511 cartridge, given the location of the colors. There are three holes located in the shape of a triangle under the label. From above. for red dye, on the left. for blue, on the right. for yellow.
  • To prevent mixing of the paint, which will lead to distortion of shades, yellow paint is initially refuel, then red and only at least blue. Refueling procedure is similar to how black dye is introduced.
  • After refueling the flow on the inklits, they are removed with a napkin. Additionally cleaned and wiped dry nozzles.
  • The case is sealed with a label that was removed at the beginning of the work, while there remains a small hole for air circulation.
  • Capacities with dyes are returned to the printer.
  • A test printout is carried out.

Preparation of cartridges for refueling.

There are air holes in the caps of cartridges, which will serve for us holes for refueling cartridges with ink. We will increase the air openings of cartridges in diameter so that the needle needle passes freely in them, I do this with the help of an awl.

I will immediately make a reservation about the location of the flowers, it is familiar:

Catching cartridges in ink.

They made holes, now we move on to refueling cartridges with ink. It is important to be attentive and not confuse colors (applies to color).

We insert the needle at an angle of 90 degrees into the cartridge sponge and slowly fill the cartridge with ink.

Number of ink: 10ml in black cartridge and 4ml in every color of the colored cartridge.

After the cartridge was filled with ink, it should not flow from it not from below, otherwise it is necessary to pull out excessive ink through the refueling hole with a syringe.

After refueling, the cartridge should remain clean.

After refueling the cartridge, I usually check its imprint on a napkin, it should be fat, which often speaks of good quality of printing a guess, but there is also a breakdown when the imprint is oily, and the print quality is bad, this is often observed in cartridges that have been redirected many times. Also, by print, you can see what colors the cartridge gives out and which is not, this applies to a colored cartridge.

Control printing of the DUZ test.

Having printed the Düz test, you will finally see the quality of cartridges after your refueling.

The duz test can be printed both from the computer and from the printer menu, if it is provided.

For example, in order to print from the computer, you need to go to the “Printers and Faxes” folders, click on your printer with a right button, select “Print Settings” and in the “Service” bookmark will be different functions, including “Duz test”. Perform this function, following the computer instructions and the printer prints the test, ideally it should be like in the left picture (see. below). If the printer printed such a test as on the right, we try to make “cleaning cartridges”, most likely it will help.

On this, we do not forget about protection, in the form of rubber gloves, t.to. ink is not very well washed off!

How to extract for refueling cartridges from Printer Canon Pixma E404, E464, E484?

It is logical, to refuel cartridges, they must be removed from the printer.

To do this, turn on the printer with the power button, we wait until the inclusion indicator stops flashing and caught up constantly. Next, we open the compartment for access to cartridges and wait until the cartridges leave and stop in the center of the printer. With an index finger, press each cartridge down and take it to ourselves.

What ink to refuel the Canon Pixma E404, E464, E484 printer?

Black cartridge at the Prinions of Canon Pixma E404, E464, E484 and other Canon Pixma printers operating on two cartridges, originally seasoned with pigment in ink, which tend to do not blur with water if it fell on a printed document. Water.soluble ink do not have such a property and will be blurred, but at the same time they are cheaper than age. Therefore, what ink to refuel you decide on the basis of your needs.

Color (tricolor) cartridge was originally seasoned with water.soluble ink.

Which manufacturer to choose, this is also an individual question, t.to. It all depends on what ink is sold to your region or which are suitable for you by color reproduction. In my opinion, t.to. These are ordinary budget All-in-One Printer-ki for printing essays, then there should not be any special nit-picking for their color rendering.

Personally, I can’t highlight some brand ink. Ink of different manufacturers refueling more than 4 into these devices, and everyone printed very worthy.

How to refuel the Canon PG-510 512, CL-511 513 and PG-37/40, CL-38/41

3) in the center of the cartridge there is a refueling hole. For convenient and fast gas station, it must be expanded (the hole can not be expanded, and simply tilted carefully with a syringe with a needle, however, in this case, you can damage the inner part of the cartridge and the printing head)

4) We expand the gas station with a convenient object (for example, a drill by 3mm. 4mm).

6) Put the cartridge on the napkin, insert the syringe into the gas station and, slowly pressing on the piston of the syringe, season the cartridge until the ink appears on the napkin.

7) Stick the etiquette back. (No need to seal the cartridge hermetically, since under the label there are air channels through which air circulates when printing).

Turning off the ink counter

When printing on the seasoned cartridges, a warning will appear on the monitor screen that cartridges are empty. To continue working with the device, it is necessary to disable tracking the level of ink. To do this, hold the “Stop/Reset” button on the printer for about 10 seconds. The printer will turn off the tracking level of ink in cartridges (for each cartridge you need to turn off the ink counter separately).

The site administration is not responsible for the consequences of using materials taken on the site.

If you print a lot, it will be convenient to install a SNPC designer on your original cartridges. How to do this is considered in the instructions for installing the SNPC on Canon MP230 and instructions for installing SNPH on MP250.

How to act after refueling

If the seasoned cartridge is perceived by the printer as empty, make a 15-20-second click on the button on the equipment housing. The button can have a red triangle icon and subscribe Cancel or Stop.

Notifications about the absence of paint will disappear, and the printer continue to print. It is necessary to zero in this way as many times as there are cartridges (in our case 2). Only after that the seal will resume completely and notifications will cease to come. Knocking is carried out only after the first refueling.
