A drain pump might stop working properly if food waste and scraps get accumulated in the pump impeller unit of the dishwasher after a certain period of time.

In such cases it is important that you first try unscrewing the mounts to the propeller unit cover and check whether any kind of junk has accumulated near the area.

If yes, then try cleaning it up using a pair of tongs and a small brush to clean off the corners where the tongs can’t reach.

Once the cleaning is done, let the unit dry for a while and then mount the cover back to its place and try starting the machine once again and see whether the drainage is working properly or not.

If the error was caused by the faulty drain pump, then the error should go away on its own once the pump works normally.

Unclog Filter

It is always important that you rinse your dishes and appliances before putting them inside the dishwasher machine for a wash.

Because if not rinsed properly, then drain pumps as well as filters too may get blocked by such wastes and scraps of food left on plates and other appliances.

The process is rather very simple. All you need to do is get yourself a multimeter and then find whether the coil for the drain assembly is conductive or not.

For this you will need to set the multimeter reading to resistance and measure the resistance between the coils measure upto 25 Ohms or not.

If yes, then there is nothing wrong with the drain pump. Otherwise, you will need to replace the whole drain pump unit altogether.

Check for fault in Pressure Switch unit

The pressure switch unit plays a very vital role in the functioning of the dishwasher and even the slightest fault in it may result in such an error to occur.

The sensor is primarily responsible for measuring the water pressure inside the dishwasher as well as communicating data between the components and control unit to enable the device to work properly.

And if there seems to be an issue with the sensor, then it is really important that it may be fixed at the earliest so that no other component gets damaged as a result of delay.

So, in order to fix the fault in the pressure switch sensor unit, firstly you will need to locate an electronic solid state unit named DD94-01006A which may be typically placed behind the metal plate near the lower left corner of the device.

Once you have located the solid state unit, check and see whether the unit is able to move up and down freely. If not, then there may be a problem with the sensor unit itself.

If that is the case then first dismount the solid-state unit and clean it properly with a polypropyl solution.

After all that is done, mount the unit back to its original location and check once again whether it is moving freely or not. If it is, then close and mount the metal plate as it was earlier and try running the dishwasher to see if the error still persists or not.

If for some reason after cleaning the unit and fixing it back to the original location, the unit does not seem to move freely. Then know that the issue here is a broken pressure switch unit and needs to be replaced.

Check for fault in Turbidity Sensor

The main function of the Turbidity sensor is to check whether the water being drained after a wash is clean or not.

And depending on whether the drained water is clean or not, it then sends a message to the main control unit to either stop the cleaning process or carry on with it until the water is completely clean.

So, if due to some reason a malfunctioning occurs in the particular sensor, then this may result in the 5E error to show up on your dishwasher’s display as well.

To fix it, similar as in the earlier case for the Pressure switch unit, here too you will need to first dismount the sponsor unit, clean it and then fix it back to check whether there is a fault in the sensor or not.

In case the fault is in the sensor, you will need to immediately replace it and fix a new one.

Check for damage to the main Control Board unit

Finally, if nothing else seems to be the cause or solve the error, then the fault may be present in the main Control Board unit of the device.

The main control board unit more or less works as the brains of the dishwasher, controlling every other function that goes on around inside it.

From communicating between tasks to informing the user of any issues, nearly everything is done either by the main control board unit or with its help.

A Samsung dishwasher LC error code indicates that the dishwasher is leaking. The error code is caused by the leak sensor detecting water or moisture in the base of the dishwasher.

This guide applies to the most Samsung dishwasher models, including the following:

DB3710DB, DB3710DW, DB5710DT, DMR57LFBXAA, DMR57LFS, DMR57LFSXAA, DMR57LFWXAA, DMR77LHS, DMR78AHS, DMT300RFB, DMT300RFS, DMT300RFW, DMT400RHS, DMT800RHS, DMT800RHS/XAA, DW7933LRASR, DW80F600UTS/AA-0000, DW80F600UTS/AA-0001, DW80F800UWS/AA-0001, DW80J3020US/AA-0000, DW80K5050US/AA-0000

There are four possible reasons (with various solutions) for a Samsung dishwasher LE error code:

  • There is a leak, which means a component needs to be replaced.
  • The water detected by the leak sensor is part of normal operations. Letting the water evaporate or repositioning the leak sensor will fix the issue.
  • A glitch has caused the error code. Disconnecting the power will resolve the error code.
  • The dishwasher has been recently moved, connected to a garbage disposal, or overfilled with detergent.

Follow the steps below to diagnose and fix the issue.

Has the dishwasher been moved, connected to a garbage disposal, or overfilled with detergent?

If the dishwasher has been recently moved, water or moisture may have gotten on the leak sensor and triggered the LC error code. Waiting for the water to evaporate should resolve the issue.

If the dishwasher is connected to a garbage disposal, not removing the knockout plug from where the garbage disposal connects to the dishwasher drain hose can cause the LC error code. Making sure the plug has been removed may resolve the error code.

If too much detergent is used, excess suds can be created, which causes the dishwasher to detect excess moisture. Therefore, using the correct amount of detergent and cleaning out the detergent dispenser may resolve the LC error code.

Is the dishwasher leaking?

If you can see water on the floor around the dishwasher, it is safe to assume a component needs to be replaced to fix the problem. However, even if you cannot see any signs of a leak outside of the dishwasher, a defective component could still be causing an internal leak. Therefore, move on to step three.

Was the error code caused by a glitch?

Disconnecting the power to the dishwasher for 15 minutes will allow the dishwasher to reset and clear the error code. Waiting 15 minutes also allows for moisture to evaporate, which may also resolve the issue.

When you restore power to the dishwasher, the error code should have cleared, meaning it may have just been a glitch. However, if the error code returns or it hasn’t cleared, further troubleshooting is required.

Wait and see if the water evaporates and clears the error code

If the Samsung dishwasher LC error code has only recently appeared, waiting for the water to evaporate may resolve the issue. How long you wait will depend on how warm the environment is. We recommend waiting an hour, but 15-30 minutes may be enough in warmer climates. If the error code is a recurring or permanent issue, move on to the next step.

Check for defective components causing the leak

A Samsung dishwasher LC error code is typically caused by a defective spray arm, seal, water inlet valve, pump, or leak sensor.

If a dishwasher spray arm is damaged, water may be spraying in the wrong direction and causing water to seep into the base of the dishwasher. Before removing any access panels, make sure the spray arms are not damaged or clogged. If a spray arm is damaged, replacing it may resolve the LC error code.

Checking the remaining components will require accessing the base of the dishwasher.

Follow these steps to access the dishwasher base:

  • Disconnect the power to the dishwasher.
  • Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher.
  • Remove the dishwasher kick plate.

Depending on the model, you may be able to see the drain pan where the leak sensor is located. In most cases, the dishwasher will need to be moved to access the drain pan and components that may be causing the leak.

Moving the dishwasher will likely require removing the kitchen cabinet mounting screws and disconnecting the drain hose from underneath the sink. If the dishwasher is hardwired, the junction box behind the kickplate will need to be opened and the wire nuts removed to release the electrical wires.

  • Put the dishwasher on its side or upside down so that you remove the access panel on the bottom of the dishwasher.

You should now be able to locate the water inlet valve, pump, and drain pan where the leak sensor is located, as well as the various dishwasher seals and gaskets, such as the motor shaft seal and pump gasket.

At this point, some logic, a multimeter, and some trial and error are required to determine the source of the leak.

First, check the seals and gaskets for damage that would cause a leak. Replace any defective seals or gaskets that you find. Also, check that the leak is not coming from a damaged or loose hose.

Depending on the model, the dishwasher may have one or two pumps. The pumps need to be removed from the dishwasher and then tested with a multimeter for continuity. If a pump fails the continuity test, it needs to be replaced.

Over time, mineral deposits can build up in the water inlet valve, which can cause it to stay in the open position, causing too much water to fill the dishwasher and trigger the leak sensor. A clogged inlet valve needs to be replaced, as trying to unclog it is unlikely to be a reliable fix.

A water inlet valve can also fail electrically. If the pump fails a multimeter continuity test, it needs to be replaced.

Although unlikely, the leak sensor may also have failed. Replacing the leak sensor may resolve the LC error code.

Relocate the leak sensor

If the dishwasher does not have a leak, the leak sensor may have been installed too low in the drip pan. Relocating the leak sensor a few inches higher should solve the problem.

  • Afterward, hold the ‘Hi-Temp Wash’ button for around 7 seconds. Your dishwasher should make a noise to let you know it’s confirmed.
  • Wait around 30 seconds.
  • Turn off your dishwasher, wait another minute, then turn it back on again.

This will perform a software reset – but only on some models with those buttons and a display screen.

Instead I get an Ice Maker that wont work and was told by the repairman it was due to the higher water pressure in the US. I have to keep defrosting it with my hairdryer. It is already cracked. The microwave wont respond to my finger on the controls unless I hold it flat not my fingertip. Part of the name has come off the dishwasher. In my opinion and experience if you want good appliances DONT BUY Samsung. They are very poor quality and all you will get is excuses. Mine were less than a year old when they started breaking.

Bought this dishwasher 7 months ago and began getting error code 5C (clogged drain). I completed the troubleshooting per manual, found no clog, called Samsung for warranty service. One hour and a half wait so I set up call back. Agent called back, said she was not in dishwasher dept. and sent me back to call back and disconnected me. Set up another call back, same thing, since I purchased it from Costco I am returning it and buying a different brand, this is by far the worst service I have ever had. NO MORE Samsung ANYTHING.

Would not recommend buying Samsung dishwashers. The rubber handle to pull out the drawers is melting only after owning for a couple years. Samsung will not replace. The rubber melts onto the dishes.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher DW7933LRABB and have nothing but horrible experiences with its poor cleaning results. I have had no less than 8 service calls for this machine. Each time a service repair agent replaced a part or parts saying it will resolve the poor results. It is nothing but a piece of junk, and I am being nice as this review would be flagged. I might as well eat off the dirty dishes as they are cleaner than after running them through this dishwasher. Samsung has done nothing for me as they say it is a extended service contract issue, not theirs. The issue is they make horrible products. If you are thinking of buying any Samsung product DONT DO IT as you will be writing a review like mine. Samsung has lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know not to buy or do business with this company ever!

Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher. After reading Consumer report. Right off the bat dishes were always wet, never dried, had to hand dry. Called Samsung and was told to turn my hot water heater up and use on sanitize and heavy load settings. (This is great way to save energy.) This really did not accomplish much. Dishes still wet, still had to be dried by hand. This dishwasher is only used on weekends in the summer maybe at most it was used 20 times the first year. Second summer by 4th of July used around 6 times and a grinding noise started. Not all the time but at end of cycle. Called repair person (independent) 4 people refused to work on Samsung. I found one repair person who I paid 200 dollars to come and he told me I needed a new motor, which would be upward of 300. Washed the dishes for the remainder of that year. Third summer, called Sears, got a service contract for all products purchased from them, 300. Sears came and replaced pump, and said there was lots of plastic rack clips in pump, we counted 4. I never raise or lower the rack. The clips broke from just simply pulling it out and pushing it back. I was instructed to do this gently. That was 4 weeks ago. SE light came on and dishwasher stopped, after at tops 6 uses and gently moving the rack back and forth running hot water for 3-4 min. until very hot before turning on dishwasher at heavy and sanitize load. After a two week wait for service and another week for parts Sears is scheduled to come and replace pump and motor and all the rack clips. This will still be under my repair agreement with Sears (thank Goodness). So far my 3 year old Samsung DMR78DHS 800 plus delivery and installation has cost me 500. That is 1300. divided by the times used 30 = 43.33 each times it has been used. WOW. Not counting energy cost. I have no expectation that this scheduled repair will last. I hope it will until the end of summer and I will plan on buying a new dishwasher. I will under no circumstance buy another Samsung product. I wouldnt pay sales tax on another Samsung product if they gave me one. Not worth the trouble.

Horrible. DO NOT buy a Samsung dishwashers. We bought a Samsung dishwasher in October of 2016 (model # DW80F600UTS). Almost immediately we noticed a putrid smell coming from inside the dishwasher. We tried every kind of cleaner from vinegar, store brand cleaners, lemon flavored Kool-Aid. you name it, we tried it. Called Samsung (can hardly understand a word theyre saying) and they told me to keep the door open when not using it!? Seriously. Who does that. Next we started noticing rusty spots on our silverware. Then within 6-8 months of getting it, it stopped working completely! After going through a big hassle with customer service and having to prove to them we only had it for a couple of months, they sent someone to repair it, only to have it break down again a few months later!! But this time it was no longer covered under their 1 year warranty, so it cost us 147 to have a serviceman come out to tell us we needed a new part! So then Samsung calls (again can barely understand them) and says they will replace our dishwasher. GREAT we think They are FINALLY doing the right thing! After all we have been without a working dishwasher now for over a month. BUT. the case will need to be reviewed first!? OK. Well 3 weeks later, we get an e-mail saying it has been approved. So I call them to see what steps I need to take to get our new dishwasher. After being put on hold for at least 30 min. I am told they are unable to replace it because they no longer have our model in stock! WHAT. I was just told less than an hour ago it was approved!! What the heck. So I asked to speak to a supervisor who is absolutely NO help. She just says all they will do is refund us the cost of our piece of crap dishwasher. So almost 2 months later we still do not have a working dishwasher and are out 147 for a repairman to tell us we have a piece of crap dishwasher! Samsung does NOT stand behind their products, and they certainly do NOT care about their customers.

Have owned my Samsung appliances for 2 years, 6 months. The dishwasher leaks from the front just like described by many others. I have found that when loading the dishwasher the last time before running the cycle, I physically push the front gasket all the way around the opening (just run my finger around it) and it lessens or stops the leaking experience. This of course is not acceptable performance but it may help others until they replace their Samsung Dishwasher with another brand as I will do soon rather than spending any more money on this poor performing product. I will say, I LOVE my other Samsung appliances. Refrigerator, Stove/Oven, and/or Microwave. they all work GREAT and would definitely buy again.

I really want to share my bad experience with Samsung Microwave Model ME18H704SFS/AC. I wish I would google Samsung microwaves before buying one. I just read report from people who bought microwave in February 2016. I bought mine on May 2, 2016 from Best buy in Vancouver Canada. I also bought 5 years warranty on this microwave. On 28th day after purchasing we tried to warm up bowl of soup (in microwavable dish), and we felt a burning smell coming from microwave. When I opened the door I discovered a fire on the right wall of microwave. I was able to stop the fire with kitchen towel. I cannot operate this microwave any longer because it is a fire hazard in my house.Same day I called to Samsung customer service. They gave a case number and told me that somebody will contact me. Next day I called them again and they transferred me to some kind escalation department. The manager from escalation department said that if he will get pictures and receipt from me now, he will speed up the process. I emailed him pics and have not heard anything after that. On Monday, I called again to customer service. The manager told me that she could not find me in her database, she also said that they were not able to open up my pictures. I told her to transfer me to the escalation department. After 30 min wait I was able to talk to a guy who confirmed receiving pictures. He also was able to open them up. He told me that he sent my case to the Head office. I asked him why nobody sent me a simple email with acknowledgement of receiving my email. He did not have any answer for me. I asked him what is the reasonable time to get an answer from Head office. At the beginning he said 48 hours and then he did not know. He also said that he has no idea what kind outcome I should expect. And just to add to this story. I called to the insurance provider for Best Buy. They told me that they cannot touch my microwave because it is a factory defect which appeared in first 30 days. I am not even upset anymore. This company is a joke. Samsung really needs to get a lesson for producing dangerous and unreliable appliances and treating consumers so poorly. I will wait for 48 hours (legally you have to give them some time to rectify the situation). If Samsung will not replace their lousy microwave I will take this matter to Small Claim Court and I really want to.

I wrote in to request a refund on my unit, something I found they were providing to many others in my identical situation. Not only did they say no, but when I asked for the name/number of a manager or supervisor I was told there werent any for me to speak to. The unit I have has well know defects for which there are no solutions. Ice freezing on the coils, under the crisper, and water leaking on the floor under and around the unit. Refunds have been given to many others with products.some even older than mine. The dishes are extremely fantastic, their are very affordable to anyone who desires to use them and long-lasting. They dont easily break and I can assure that you will completely love using them. I highly recommend them.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator, model RS2630SH and have had multiple problems with it. Like many others who have reviewed Samsung refrigerators, ours too leaves water and ice at the bottom of the unit. You have to get a rubber hammer sometimes to dislodge it. We have had the compressor fail, and the unit stills gets hot. We had to pay for all repairs as the warranty is worthless. The ice maker freezes up. I could go on and on. We also bought a Samsung dishwasher. It does an extremely poor job of washing dishes. In fact, you have to pre-wash everything by hand. We will never buy a Samsung product again.

I have never had a dishwasher that stinks like this one. And it seems it is a major issue. I made a mistake by looking at Best Buy reviews. Of course now I am pretty sure they are fixed. As our five year old Samsung refrigerator is now trash (model RB2178AB), time to research before replacing. Loved the fridge, no complaints except for twice having to replace the gallon bin in the door. But last week freezer quit and now fridge. Repair person says a freon leak. Not repairable. Expensive purchase for 5 years of use. With a Samsung dishwasher that has required 5 service visits. no more Samsung appliances for this family!

First 3 months after we bought the Samsung dmt300, it was down. Sears came out repaired it, 3 months later down again. After 4 repairs in the first year, I had had enough. This is the worst freaking product I have ever bought. For the price you pay, you would think it would work great but heck no we have had a repair person here to fix the stupid thing over and over again from it completely being rebuilt the first year new motor. Pump front panel board and so on to the last few repairs of the top water jet falling off and the rollers on the racks falling off.Now another problem with the stupid thing. flashing heavy light, which by the way means there is a leak somewhere, which there is going to be another service call. Thank the Lord we had sense enough to purchase the extended warranty. Never again will I purchase a Samsung dishwasher. They are the biggest I do have to agree with some over posts; it does not get dishes clean or dry.

Our new Samsung appliances were installed in mid February. I immediately noticed that my WaterWall dishwasher was hard to load. Prongs are short and awkward. Glasses fall over. It didnt wash dishes as well as my 500 old Whirlpool. I paid almost a grand for this one in hopes of some kind of dish washing miracle. Now it has a leak one month later. Glad I have tile flooring instead of wood. I have called Lowe’s to see what to do. Havent heard back yet. From reading other reviews, it looks like I am not fooling with this, yet I am going to return all my Samsung appliances. My mother told me to buy Whirlpool. I should have listened.

3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM Samsung! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

Samsung dish washer looks great. However, there is some sort of problem going on and the company offers very little help. Our unit quit after about 13 months. Service guy came and said, Samsung is known for bad circuit boards. He replaced the brain and it work for maybe two days. I pulled the thing out and disassembled/reassembled and it worked for another six months. Its dead again and all the online reviews i see give me very little confidence this thing will ever work. Ive sacrificed 600 to the appliance Gods and am going with something else. Samsung will see no negative immediately. However, with this crap, they will go the way of VW.

I bought this dishwasher because it was recommended in the press as a good product. My experience with a Samsung dishwasher is nothing but problems. The dishwasher will not clean the dishes properly even after you rinse them down to start. I have had to replace the pump on this dishwasher twice and the service charge is around 200 dollars a visit. This is over a 28 month period. My advice to anyone wishing to buy a Samsung dishwasher should look at another product and leave this one alone.

10 months ago we purchase a Samsung dishwasher model DW80J3020. It completely stopped working. While it was still under warranty, we had service technicians come out which took 3 days. Then they had to order a part. Two days later we had it working. It worked one time. Two more service calls later it was deemed unrepairable. Since that time we have tried to get a refund and all we get is shuffled from one Customer Care (what a joke) Department to another with no information or response. Finally we sent them the receipt on the suggested form. Still no response. My advice to you is dont ever buy a product from Samsung. They have shoddy products and the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The freezer on my refrigerator went out 2 months ago. I purchased a warranty and the company Avauxco still can not get the part. If Samsung really appreciated and cared about their customers, they would do something to make this horrible situation right. I was a loyal customer since I purchased a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and phone. NEVER will I purchase another Samsung product. And I plan to tell everyone at the store how Samsung treats their customers. They do not back their products at all.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DMT800RHS, S/N A3J7G9MCB02679R, paying just under 1000. After the very first load, it did not clean the dishes. The old dishwasher I had, prior to purchasing the Samsung, performed better! Attempts to get Samsung to replace the dishwasher failed. I have to wash the dishes by hand completely, 100%, before placing in the dishwasher. It gets NOTHING off! Why even have a dishwasher? I purchased a (expensive) Samsung Fridge at Home Depot and after 1 month of having the fridge there are small rust spots all over the front of the fridge. When I called Samsung support they said its a cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty. They said it could be caused by prolonged exposure to moisture (Ive had it for a month) or an abrasive cleaner was possibly used. The only cleaner that has been used was warm water and dish soap one time and a mixture of vinegar and water one time. Samsung refuses to stand by their product and Home Depot says the issue needs to be handled with Samsung.

BUYER BEWARE! Heres what Im dealing with right now: We purchased an entire kitchen set from Samsung.com in December as a black Friday special. In March, the dishwasher stopped working. We contacted Samsung via their website and set up a ticket. The day of the appt, the technician didnt show, we contacted them and were told that Samsung cancelled their contract that day due to Covid. No one bothered to call us to let us know. They said we would have to wait until the lockdown had passed. We did. For 3 months. As the state has now reopened, we contacted them to see when we could get the repair. They advised us they no longer had a repair service in the area. We then asked for a replacement, they never actually responded to that despite our insistence of a repair or replace, instead they offered to refund us the amount we paid for the dishwasher. Because of the discount we received for purchasing this is as a set, the amount they are willing to refund is only half the cost of a replacement dishwasher. This would force us to have to pay out an additional 400 after going 3 months without a working product, this is unacceptable.For the first 3 months I was cordial and patient, but this past week has brought out a whole different side. I am beyond frustrated with their customer service, and I do not think it is right that I would have to pay them any more money to get what should have been included in my initial kitchen package. We got their Tuscan Stainless Steel set and it is an exclusive color only to Samsung, we would have no choice but to give them more money or risk losing home resell value for having a mismatched set.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2016. I have since had to manually defrost the coil and fan three times and as I am writing this, the fan is running noisily and tomorrow I will have to pull off the back panel behind the shelves and defrost it yet again with a hairdryer because this build up keeps the refrigerator from cooling. I am a disabled man living mostly on a fixed income. The refrigerator cost roughly 3000 which took me a year to pay off. I called customer service and the rep told me that he could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to his supervisor to see what recourse I had if any and was met with extreme hostility. He outright refused to resolve my issue or offer anything helpful. Samsung needs to teach its people what professional customer service looks like. I did not appreciate the condescending tone of their customer support agents. I also work for the largest home goods and building material retailer in the United States and have actively informed customers not to purchase any Samsung appliance until they improve the quality of their product and customer support. I would suggest that others provide the same service to family and friends who need to spend their hard earned money on a new appliance. Recently, we needed a new dishwasher and purchased a GE which my wife and I are very pleased with. Presently, we will never buy any Samsung product whether it be a household appliance, phone, tablet, TV or anything else. After the “convenient” freezer door handle, being only supported through plastic, broke off for the second time and after having manually defrosted the fan, coil, and heating element for the third time in two weeks, I bit the bullet and bought a new fridge. It seems you have to purchase the entire freezer drawer to fix one plastic piece. By the way, the Whirlpool I purchased has performed great with all the features of the Samsung for about 40% less cost. I have just finished writing a rather lengthy letter to the consumer protection agency documenting the numerous issues and failed CS conversations. I advise anyone thinking of doing the same be sure to document all calls (i.e. date, time, rep name, etc.). Take pictures with your phone of all visible issues including the rust spots your stainless probably has because of its apparent poor quality. I am hopeful someone may read this who can help.

I purchased a home in October 2018 with a suite of 4-year-old Samsung appliances. The only good thing about the dishwasher is that its quiet. With that being said dishes often come out after being washed with food particles still on them and do not dry well. My issues started a month ago when the dishwasher wouldnt complete a full cycle. it was stuck mid-cycle. I chatted with a Samsung rep who said to flip the switch off and back on on the circuit breaker. This reset the dishwasher and it did complete the cycle. Two weeks later, the dishwasher lights were flashing, it was making a suction noise, flashing a LE code and wouldnt power off. I had to shut off the circuit breaker.I chatted again with a Samsung tech, who promised a tech would be out the following Monday. That was the 1st lie. The technician couldnt come until Wednesday and I had to pay 100 for a trip fee (the rep never mentioned this) because its out of warranty. Tech comes out and says I need a new door because the door wont properly lock. which will be 230. I have a hard time believing the door is suddenly the issue considering the dishwasher is 4 years old.After reading the other nightmare reviews on this site, Im certainly not going to funnel 330 into the repair of a garbage appliance. which should work properly. Even after taking my issues to. Samsung has still yet to respond. Garbage appliances terrible customer service = me spending money to buy a new Bosch dishwasher. Save your money and avoid Samsung appliances like the plaque! Ive also had to reset the circuit breaker on the 4-year-old refrigerator a couple of times. Never had any issues with the 9-year-old suite of Kenmore appliances in my last home.

We purchased a suite of Samsung appliances to upgrade our kitchen. We have had problems with literally every piece. Never again. We have the DMT800RHS. This dishwasher has never dried acceptably since day one. It usually leaves food particles. We have learned to inspect dishes as we remove them. We have a perpetual drying mat on the counter. We leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep the unit dry. It seems to cut down on the odors. We run a vinegar clean cycle every other month to keep the drains clean. This seems to have solved the intermittent drain code problem. We wipe the seal with a rag every week to prevent sludge build up and seal leaks. My 20 year old car requires less maintenance.After reading many of these reviews I almost feel fortunate. We now have the rack handles dissolving. It seems like the detergent (or possible the vinegar cleaning required for the odor problem) has broken down the rubber to the point it is flaking off and sticking to the dishes. We took a scrapper and removed as much as we could. Hope some of these tips may help some of you get by until you can replace this horrible appliance. Just never again.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher in September 2013. It broke after 5 months. We are currently without a dishwasher after 2 repairs and third repairman declaring as unrepairable. Samsung customer service continuing to give us runaround.

I have had this dishwasher for just a few months. It is not a dishwasher, it is a wet washer! It doesnt clean, I didnt realize that it had no heating element, thought all dishwashers did. I am cleaning cupboards and it doesnt clean clean dishes that are just dusty! What a ripoff. The company needs to stop selling dishwashers or call them something else as it does not wash or clean dishes.

Purchased a Samsung dishwasher 8/29/13. Big mistake! The main problem is the unit stopping 5-10 min. into the cycle. Samsung should absolutely recall this product and reimburse the consumer for THEIR error. Its terribly frustrating!!

We purchased our Samsung (46 Decibel) Dishwasher from Lowes in 2014. Since then the dishwasher has required 4 repairs. 3 of the repairs were in the first year of ownership!

This dishwasher is awful. It needs to be repaired once a year. It really doesnt wash the dishes very well. You have to wash everything before it goes into the dishwasher. It has many features but it runs way too long (3 hrs.) you cant turn off the dry cycle. Regular size dishwasher. Its stainless steel very attractive, but it doesnt wash well so who cares how nice it looks. Fortunately I have an extended warranty. If I didnt, I would have replaced this dishwasher by now.

We bought a DD68-00143A_MES about 6 months ago. Since day one we noticed that it simply did not work as well as our old one (was not a Samsung) we had for over 10 years. At first I thought we were just not loading the dishes correctly because they were not clean. So for several weeks we tried to move dishes all over the place and nothing helped. Then we thought maybe it was the dishwasher detergent (even though we had used it for years with no problems, I thought maybe they changed the formula without us knowing it) so we tried all kinds of detergents and nothing helped! So as many of you that have complaints about the washer being the worst ever, I tend to agree. Other things we have noticed is there is this smell that comes from it. My dishwasher started leaking badly. Upon my inspection, the bottom door seal was falling apart/disintegrating. I went to Lowes where I purchased it (this was one month after my 3 year extended warranty had expired) and asked to order the part in order for my plumber to repair it. They could not find the correct part but tried to sell me a part anyway. I knew enough to know that was not a part I needed So, I came back home and called Samsung for help. They referred me to J J Parts which is their official distributor of Samsung parts. They could not find the individual part I needed. over, they indicated that Samsung built that rubber piece into the door and I would have to buy the door for 254 to solve the problem! I called Samsung back and explained the issue. They didnt seem to care and said I would have to call an official Samsung tech. to come out and fix the problem. So I did that hoping it would cost me much less than 254 and the seal would be repaired. The tech confirmed what J J Parts said to me on the phone. that I would have to order most of the door piece (over 200) and then the labor cost to add on to that made the estimate to repair at over 400! The Samsung tech visit cost me 97 for nothing that I didnt figure out myself! All this headache for a 22 piece of rubber seal! The bottom line is this: dont buy a Samsung dishwasher (my model #DW80H993), if you did and this happens, dont waste your time and money to try and fix it. I obviously would not spend the 400 for this piece of trash, so I bought a new and different dishwasher with a 5 year warranty.

In September 2017, we purchased the top of the line Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot thinking it would be the last dishwasher we retirees would buy. Unfortunately I can’t tell you the model because my husband threw the manual and paperwork away in disgust three weeks ago when, after two years and four months we sent the dishwasher to the dump. It needed a new pump and the repair would be so expensive we might as well buy a new one. Our model had the storm surge feature, if that helps identify it. Also, the racks were starting to rust. The clean was not as good as the Whirlpool we replaced it with for half the price. We also bought a refrigerator at the same time. We’re attempting to join a class action suit because the ice maker leaks and the ice compartment freezes into a solid block and Samsung refuses to acknowledge the problem. I’ve learned that Samsung, LG, and even some GE appliances use the same inferior parts. I bought Whirlpool because that’s what the repairman owns. But I bought a Lowe’s 5 year warranty on my 326 dishwasher (sale price) so that I’m covered. I distrust the company warranties and their planned obsolescence. Start talking to your friends and associates, I’ve found three others disgruntled with their Samsung appliances. Personally, I would pay a small fortune for an appliance with parts and manufacture in the USA. I’m old enough to know major appliances that lasted 30 years and more. Remember when Made in the USA was a guarantee of quality? Not assembled in the USA with parts made in Mexico or China. Thank you for allowing me to vent, and please don’t buy Samsung.

Our household consists of two adults. In August 2015, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher Model DW80J7550US for approximately 820 from the local Home Depot. It worked OK for six months, then would stop running toward the end of the cycle and display Error Code 3C: Pump Operation Check. At this point in the cycle, the water would stop draining out of the machine and just sit in the bottom of it. We restarted the machine at least 8 times, after resetting it by turning off the breaker, unplugging, etc. Nothing changed. We contacted Samsung, which sent a Samsung technician out to repair what was thought to be a defective pump. However, when the tech removed the machine from its installation site, the problem was a cracked frame in the front left corner (see attached photo), which put the whole door and sensors out of alignment, causing the error code. He wrote on the service form, Frame damaged. Not repairable. We observed this machine when it was delivered, and there was no damage to the frame. Nor was it damaged during installation. In searching, I believe, on this site, there was at least one other reviewer, who had this same problem. The materials and workmanship of this dishwasher frame are so poor and defective, that after six months of light/normal usage, the vibration of the machine causes the frame to crumble/crack. We contacted Home Depot to request that we be able to return it to the store where we bought it and get full credit to exchange for another dishwashernon-Samsung. Home Depot says they are trying to get the technician to indicate that the damage was not caused by the consumer, but, rather, is due to faulty materials, so that Samsung will credit HD for the defective machine. The process, from what we can see, is moving very, very slowly. Like others, we were bit by falling for the name Samsung, assuming that the quality of the machine was high. So, after paying over 800 for a dishwasher that functioned only six months, due to poor manufacturing, we may be forced to buy another brand, from another dealer, if HD will not stand behind the quality of the products they sell. If HD does not take the Samsung back and allow us to exchange for a different brand, our confidence in ever purchasing anything again from HD will be totally gone. By the way, in the last year, with extensive remodeling of a new house, we have spent somewhere of 100K at HD. The least they could do, to keep us as a customer, would be to exchange the machine for us. Also, from what I have seen of the Samsung reviews, they should stop selling Samsung dishwashers completely.

I scrolled down and read the reviews until the Dec. 28, 2010 entry where I found someone who had the same dishwasher as I have: DMR57. I loaded my dishwasher last night, put in the soap and shut the door to start it. When I touched the start button, it was dead. The whole touch panel was dead. Thinking somehow a breaker had blown, I checked on that and it had not. The machine was just dead. My husband is an electrician, but he didnt even get a chance to check the electrical. He shut the door and something inside, the latch broke. Now the door doesnt latch. We bought this unit in September 2008. After having it for two weeks back then, we called the service department explaining how touchy the control panel was. If you just skimmed the panel, you could turn it on or off. The instrument was replaced but it is still extremely sensitive. We began to put the touch panel in the child lock mode when in use and when not in use. By doing so protected the touch panel; we couldnt turn it on or off. It is awful when the dishwasher is on and in mid-wash cycle and you accidentally touch or skim the panel and the whole machine is turned off. This dishwasher does not restart from where the cycle was shut off. You have to restart the wash cycle from the beginning. Weve decided to replace the dishwasher with another brand instead of fixing this one. Dishwashers should last some 10-15 years. We will not be buying a Samsung. I must say that we have a Samsung refrigerator that I just love! I may jinx myself, but lets hope not.

DW80F600UTS. Bought this visually nice looking dishwasher from Best Buy and after 14 months it started getting a High Temp Heating Error. It makes the unit totally inoperable. It wont even do a forced drain cycle. Multiple attempts at de-energizing and resetting the stupid computer control pad has no effect. The unit would go immediately to FAULT and keep blinking the fault. Best Buy would not help and Samsung Customer Service DOES NOT EXIST. Keep getting message of Sorry we are are experiencing high call volume. please wait. The phone rings once and you get hung up on. I am infuriated. Never ever will deal with Samsung again.

I purchased of course the expensive model DMR Samsung dishwasher. Within months, this thing was not working properly so of course my husband tried to fix it himself by cleaning it out really good, thinking the kids had just got food stuck at the bottom or something. No, not at all. This dishwasher just didnt work. Well, I call Lowes well to my surprise since I had purchased the item 07/2008 but the item was not picked up from the store until 11/2008. Since my purchase date was July, my one year warranty was already up by the time I called. I refused to call Samsung and have them come out because when I did inquire I was told it would be 65 bucks just to come out and tell me whats wrong with it. So now 3 years late, still no new dishwasher. I just have a piece of stationary sitting in my house being decoration to go with the rest of my kitchen. Thanks Samsung for such a good product and taking my 900 dollars.

Bought a brand new dishwasher in 7/14. It stopped working in 5 months. Called Samsung, their service provider refused to schedule a service telling me I dont have a valid receipt (the one from the retailer is not valid). Called Samsung back and I was transferred to customer relationship department, they reviewed my receipt and they said it is good. They called the service provider to schedule service. Again, service provider refused to provide service. Samsung said they need to find another service provider in my area (come on, this is nyc). I dont understand why Samsung cannot direct the service provider to come. What a joke. Time to shop for a non Samsung dishwasher (which will be my last Samsung product).

Last year at the Black Friday sale I purchase the French door Samsung fridge and a Samsung dishwasher. Terrible experience. Fridge and dishwasher came defective. I paid warranty on both. After so much trouble they finally fixed my fridge, which would make this terrible noise, like an old car. Now, with the dishwasher for which I paid 700 dollars, came with a defective rail on one of the trays, and also the door is defective. Neither Lowes or Samsung have been able to help me. They said is nothing they can do. Even with the warranty. I havent been able to use my dishwasher and I still making payments on it. Never in my life I will buy or recommend Samsung products again. And not at Lowes either. They are the worst.

I had a Whirlpool for 11 years and wanted a new stainless steel model. I got this 2 years back from Best Buy. I didnt get the extended warranty because I never used it with my old dishwasher and all money was just gone waste. The Samsung brand proved to be my nightmare. I had to call tech service twice in 1 year. Then again after year for which I paid through my own The dishes are never clean and top shelf never gets dry. I wash all with a soap, rinse with water then again run the dishwasher. If you put the dish without washing it doesn’t get clean. The material used inside, smells like a rubber and I think my old dishwasher was much sturdier than this WaterWall. Additionally, you have to baby it. The door lock gave up after 1 year, so changed it. Now again and again we keep getting error messages. I am just tired of this washer. I will not recommend anyone to buy.

I have a Samsung 4 door refrigerator that is just over 2 years old. The ice box has started to crack, I spoke to Samsung and they are not interested, this is the 3rd Samsung product I have had problems with (microwave, dishwasher and fridge) and do not think their products are any good and would never recommend them. I will never buy this crap again and I do not know how they are allowed to sell it here?

My advice. DONT buy Samsung products. The condo block my friend lives in has Samsung dishwashers installed. Three of them that I know of have quit. It is impossible to get good service with any kind of results. The technician at the other end keeps you on the phone for hours and wont consent to new parts or agree that there is a problem covered under warranty. It took one gal seven months to get any results. Two are still working on it. They are not cooperative at all. We had a Samsung TV. What a disaster. The picture was always blurry and with movement, it was followed by a delayed shadow. Weve switched to LG products and love them.

Purchased this dishwasher a little over 2 years ago. It has required 4 major repairs (non functional errors) in that time. 2 were covered under warranty, one was not. Now demanding a credit for this dishwasher and/or a replacement unit of equivalent value. Well see what Samsung says, although Im not holding my breath.

As a sixty year old woman I have purchased many dishwashers but my recent purchase of a Samsung takes the cake for being the absolute worst barely functioning machine! The Samsung people were also not easy to reach nor helpful at all. At one point they actually hung up on me after only having their dishwasher for two months. Furthermore, I am more disgusted with Best Buy and the other large chains for promoting the sale of Samsung dishwashers. I should have read the reviews on Samsung first!

My experience with our Samsung dishwasher is similar to the other experiences listed here. Dishwasher began having error codes after 14-15 months of normal use. After dealing with it working and not working for a few months we set up a service call through Samsung. A call to Samsung customer service led to nothing and they do not stand behind this product at all. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product. You will be disappointed and left with a non-working DW in 13-15 months. No wonder the warranty is only 1 year. Samsung has a great scam going on here, but it will eventually lead to loss of customers in all areas of their business.

Poor washing, broke after one year bec of a small piece of food in the pump, takes a long time to wash, trays get stuck easily and derail fast when pull with some dishes inside. So expensive for so little results. Their fridge is worst. Need to have class suit action about the poor quality of their appliances. Faulty built, break easily, expensive to fix, big for nothing.

I had purchased Samsung StormWash in Best Buy in 2018/06 for my remodeled place. The first use of dishwasher was in 2018/09. About a week ago, the dishwasher does not operating and would shut off within seconds after power on. Instead of having technician from Samsung, the technician was so-called Samsung authorized technician. Technician came with diagnosis fee and told me it does not worth to have the dishwasher repaired since it is circuit board failed. I was silly enough not buying extended warranty for such a junk. Who would think the dishwasher would be failed in two years of use. I really wish there were some way to get part of money back. The product sucks and literally, there is no customer support after 1 year warranty.

Heard grinding noise after 20 months of owning DMT800. I quickly opened the dishwasher door and got my phone and video recorded the sound when I restarted the dishwasher for the repairman. ALWAYS rinsed dishes before putting in dishwasher so I knew that it was not from food but sounded like plastic grinding. Thankfully I purchased 4 year contract with Lowes because Samsung warranty ran out as of 3/04/2013. Repairman said pump. Pump has plastic fins also so they break easy also. So the pump is being replaced. In my quest to find out why the grinding noise I noticed the plastic clips missing from the adjustable top rack holder (basket adjuster assembly). I went on the internet to find this issue was a VERY common issue. I figure that was the noise. Pump has come waiting for service. Pump is 217.00. Basket Adjuster Assembly Left right Set 35.00 not sure if it will be covered by Lowes will find out. However, if not I will purchase and replace myself also use wire ties that are industrial strength and can withstand heat to help support. Thinking of using an epoxy for hot water also to support. I do not want the pump to take a beating again because of Samsungs poor design. I did call Samsung and they claim that they have never had an issue or call (LOL), it was on me because I was out of warranty. Too bad for Samsung because I am in need of a refrigerator and front load washer and am very leery of their appliances with the attitude that I got. They would not even comp me the newly designed brackets or give me the parts number for the top shelf even though it was their poor design. If anyone is looking to start a Class Action Lawsuit on this product I am in. I just may contact an attorney myself and see if he would like to take them on. Too many customers with issues not to start one. Will also make sure I warn everyone of my friends on and ask them to pass it on and we all know how those numbers can go. Bottom line? Dont mess with a woman and her appliances, it will be trouble? Consequences? We will see what Lowes has to say and see if they may have some pull with Samsung as a dealer to get results. Got to follow every path I can to get results. Samsung may not like it but they just may meet a woman/mom with teeth that bite. 🙂

The dishwasher spontaneously started beeping and flashing LE code. Drain motor runs for about 10 mins, then shuts off but the LE code continues to blink. The manual says to turn off the circuit breaker and call for service. Ill call on Monday and see what they say. I read on this site that others are having the same issue.

I heard Samsung carried one of the best dishwashers. When I went to make my purchase Labor Day weekend 2015 the Best Buy sales associate agreed. Let me tell you. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever used in my entire life. My former dishwasher was a Whirlpool, 9.5 years old. I needed to replace it because it would no longer fully drain. Sadly it cleans better than this brand new Samsung. I am constantly rewashing a minimum of 6 dishes after it runs for 3 hours. I have changed detergents, rinsed dishes before filling, ran my water until steam was filling the kitchen made sure my garbage disposal was empty and Jet-Dry to the canister. I wish I had my old dishwasher back. Samsung told me to call Best Buy.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher less than 2 years ago and it just stopped working. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he told us it would be 600 to fix it and we would be better off buying a new one. He also charged us 99 to tell us that. When I called Samsung to try and get some money back, anything, they did nothing. You would think if you pay the they charge for their appliances they would work for more than 2 years. I had a GE for 23 years without ever having to have a service call. I wont be buying Samsung anymore.

In Nov 2016 I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher. I was having some remodelling done and did not have the dishwasher installed until shortly before Christmas. Model # DW80j7550US/AA. The dishwasher never completed a cycle, and never washed appropriately. With Christmas business I called Samsung shortly after the holidays to schedule repair. This is a brand new dishwasher! Scheduling service was complicated because when I called in (Dominican Republic) the washer was not under warranty. brand new. After emailing the bill of sale and many other hoops the dishwasher was scheduled for service. On 1/16/2017 NISI sent out a service technician who diagnosed it needs a new part. This part should take about 3 weeks. I called NISI on 2/27, left a message and also sent a text (his requested method of contact).Today 3/9 after not getting a reply with 3 calls and 2 texts I finally get a text from him stating call the technician with a cell number. I stalled the cell and sent a text. No reply. I have since contacted Samsung and received a new 41 number and hopefully will hear back. The upside of this situation is that I had a Samsung refrigerator scheduled for delivery. I quickly cancelled. Buyer please beware. I wish I would have googled these reviews first. I will never ever purchase a Samsung product and will tell anyone that I come into contact with. Unbelievably awful.

This is the WORST appliance I have EVER purchased. Even after requesting maintenance TWICE:. the detergent dispenser STILL door does NOT release the tab, liquid, whatever after about an HOUR of washing (and THATs the SHORT cycle!). Inefficient! My water bill would gag you if you saw it Ergonomically awkward (not enough room to stack in large items or tall glasses) 2 sprinkler wands is a good idea, but only if they leave some room for dishes! Poorly assembled. watch out! Those wheels pop off frequently! Silverware holder lids catch regularly on the side panels when trying to roll the bottom tray back inside.- This machine will make you boycott even the Samsung Galaxy. THATS how frustrating and inadequate it is!

Samsung dishwashers expensive and I still have to wash and rinse before I use it. I thought Samsung was the best but very disappointed.

I bought My dishwasher last April but I received it in June. It was working good for few months till 1st week of Jan 2022. It showed code PC and stopped working. I called Samsung because I was still in company guarantee. The Tech came 3 weeks later. Its been more than 3 months. They send the Tech to my house to change one part each time. I send them letter and call them, They never call you. I was told they can just repair and they cant exchange or refund. I dont need to tell them I need functional dishwasher. They know but they dont care. I am working and I can accept the Tech in my house just on Saturday. I am waiting quiet every Saturday for Tech, till now they changed more than 5 parts. Do not buy their product.

There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung. All their refrigerators have a problem with freezing up. It is very dangerous for your kids or the elderly because the fridge will run about 40-50 degrees but will say 38 on the temp. So your food could be going bad and you wouldnt know. Im surprised that no one has gotten sick and/or died and taken them to court for the culpability. They clearly know that they have a design flaw. If you look up Samsung refrigerator problems, you will find thousands and thousands of reports. It is a worldwide design flaw. I am surprised that they are not providing a fix to customers. They wanted 200 to fix it. They are a bunch of dishonest crooks. I wont buy another Samsung product in my lifetime.

We purchased Stainless steel kitchen appliances in 2016 and have nothing but issues. Bought an extended warranty and even they refuse to repair anymore. Refrigerator. stop making ice, didnt cool properly, buildup of ice under deli tray, door handle came off of freezer drawer. Microwave. not warm properly, some of features not working. Dishwasher. will not drain water proper or wash dishes efficiently (dirty after an entire cycle, motor keeps running). I have contacted them. They only guarantee a year like most. Thats why we got the extended warranty. Never experience such repairs. Its only been 3 yrs. Something is wrong with this picture. I have spoken to them and they have washed their hands. Even the warranty service man told me that they were bad manufacturers and that they get calls all the time back to back for same issues. Please YouTube the models before purchasing. We are out of 4000 basically. I filed a complaint with BBB. They need to stick with cellphones.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher Model Number: DW80F600UTS/AA on June 22, 2014. Everything seemed to be working fine until November 30, 2014. We had issues with the Dishwasher, Product Symptoms: Operation/Doesnt work/Doesnt dry. This was covered under Samsungs warranty within a year. It is now August 2015 and were already having another issue with this Dishwasher. we had an appliance repair person come to the house and he tells me we now need a computer board for this dishwasher. One hundred something dollars and thats just for the part, thats not covering labor to install the part. The Technician is telling me if you have any sort of voltage issues these Dishwashers will need parts replaced.What is getting me angry is that we have a whole house surge protector protecting our main breaker and were still having issues. I would expect issues after several years say 4, or 5 not within the first year to year and 1/2. I contacted Samsung Customer Service and explained to them the latest issue. I also explained to them there was another issue several months after we bought this Dishwasher. Samsungs reply was its over the warranty, period. You used to buy appliances from Sears no less that would last years, now you pay good money thinking youre getting a good product. Samsung no less. and this is the way they treat you. It is not right. Period.

Pros: very quiet, cleans and dries well, utensil rack is wonderful. Cons: the planets have to align in order for the buttons to work. They even mention this in the manual, after 2 weeks the “guides” for the utensil rack started breaking, in 4 weeks we received an LC error and the drain pump kept running, we would power it off and it would turn itself back on (which was interesting since half of the time we couldn’t power it on due to button issue). We had to shut off the circuit breaker. The error was for a water leak. My husband started looking at reviews and apparently this is a widespread issue. The design for draining is flawed and any moisture will cause this error. We are exchanging it. Best Buy was gracious and one of the sales people said that we were not the first to return this appliance. I was so disappointed because in the first week I really liked its performance. We are waiting for the replacement so I am currently using my high priced dishwasher as a draining rack as I wash my dishes by hand.

I had 1.5 year old Samsung dishwasher DW80J3020US/AA, SN B0G8DG518407E which had 5 year manufacturing warranty. However, after 1.5 years of service machine stopped working. Control Board went bad. Samsung technician Mike from Lake Electronics, LLC who visited my machine was nothing but a fraud. Even without looking at my machine he claimed that my machine was infested by bugs and left. My repeated attempts to get from Samsung or Lake Electronics any documents proving the statement of their technician was laughed at by both Samsung Customer Service and Manager of Lake Electronics. Final answer from Samsung Customer Service was: Your Warranty is void.My technician from Broward Factory Service told me that Samsung dishwashers and other electronics are very bad and unreliable, and that I would be much better off replacing my machine than fixing Samsung on my own dime. Anyway, Samsung dishwashers are bad, and think that class action lawsuit against Samsung and its Customer Service is warranted.

Samsung has a reputation for a lousy manufacturing process of their kitchen appliances. My dw7933lrasr dishwasher is less then 2 years old. They will not fix it until you buy an extended warranty for 288.00 plus tax (new dw, 100.00 more). The phone assistance was good but the bottom line is their appliances are designed to break. Consumer Report has their DW failure rate at 25%. Bought at HHGREGG Southpoint, Durham NC.

We purchased a complete package of Samsung appliance for our new home on October 2013 and they got installed by end of November 2013. Thinking that Samsung had a good reputation for other electronics the decision was made without hesitation. Well that was a mistake. First the refrigerator ice maker started to make continuous noises, and the middle drawer got stuck every time you try to closed. Both issues where fixed under warranty. Then, surprise it was the dishwasher turn to break. It started to not dry and show an error s5, which meant that was not draining properly. I called Samsung and they say that it was out of warranty. I was a month too late meaning it only lasted 13 months. An appliance that gets used maybe 3 times a week and cost over 550.00 plus tax, however they did offer a extended warranty for an additional cost, Of course.My thoughts about this, I will not pay extended warranty. I will not repair the Samsung dishwasher, since I know it will break again and I will not buy a Samsung product again. Maybe we need to start buying American again (At Least The Name). Lets make sure that the word gets around that Samsung is not what they seem to be. They know that the dishwasher they make have a lots of problems and complaints and they do nothing.

Just adding to the huge damning file on Samsung. My experience is the same as everyone else on this site. Dishwasher breaks down 1 month outside warranty, and there is NO fix for it. Calls for help to Samsung are useless as all they do is refer you to a service center. How can they get away with this? Samsung dishwashers simply suck! Dont buy. I am currently into attempting my own repair on this machine. Just stripping and cleaning everything but reached a point where heavy lifting is required and thought I would check online for help. when I found this site. I will go no further, just put back together, start it up and if it is still not working, I will trash it! No sense putting good money after bad.

DMT300RFW. I purchased this dishwasher in May 2013. In the time since then, it has been inoperable for about 20% of the time. It kept giving heat sensor errors. After three heaters replaced and one harness, I am now being told that they cant fix it. Really a bad product.

I just got a brand new Samsung DW80K7050US dishwasher which retails for 950. To install it, the electricity must be connected (easy) and the output line has to be connected (easy) and the supply line has to be connected (easy). But. when I turn the water on, I can hear a high pressure leak but see no water coming from anywhere. After a few minutes, a puddle of water comes from under the machine. There isnt a drop of water IN the machine. That means that when the machine was put together, there is a leaky seal or missing washer someplace. And I have to uninstall the machine, turn it upside down and play surgeon for a few hours trying to fix this damned leak. That is ridiculous.Even worse, I have done searches on this, and that problem is not uncommon. Typically it is fixed by the install, but in this case, I installed it. Why should I pay someone 150 to connect 3 wires and two hoses? Its no more complicated than attaching a garden hose. Obviously they dont test their products for leaks before shipping them out.

The salesperson raved about this dishwasher. We were told it was the top of the line. In fact, it was on back order and we waited three months for it to be delivered. The warranty was for 12 months. The dishwasher began to have trouble one day after the warranty and Samsung would not send a technician. It would run for about 5 minutes and then stop. It wasnt draining. In the two years we have had the dishwasher it has been fixed four times. A month ago it stopped working completely. The motor is toast. We decided after putting 400 into repairs that we werent willing to put any more money into it. Today we purchased a new dishwasher and its safe to say its not a Samsung. Im completely disappointed.

About one year after I purchased my Samsung dishwasher (DMT800RHS), we began getting error messages and problems with dishes. We had a Samsung authorized tech come out at 250 expense to ourselves and he found a bunch of plastic pieces the color of the racks in the pump impeller. Nearly 6 months later, we had the same issue and had a local tech come out. For another 75, he retrieved the same rack colored pieces of plastic out of the pump. Tonight, we had a third tech come out and retrieve more rack pieces out of the pump. I have attached photos of the rack adjuster, where every plastic attachment is broken on both sides. These have broken during operation. I hope this review helps someone choose carefully when purchasing a dishwasher, and avoid the headache that we have been dealing with.

My husband and I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher less three years ago after we bought our house. So far we had to call a tech guy out at least four times and it still gives an error message! The dishwasher does not dry or clean our dishes! Do not buy Samsung appliances. They suck!! Horrible and so disappointed.

POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD: Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher. This has been the worst appliance experience ever. Dishwasher worked fine for about the first 18 months. Then, on occasion, it would give an error code (Smart Auto and Heavy would flash). If we stopped and restarted it, it would usually run through the cycle. We are a family of only 2 adults, so we are not hard on it, nor do we run it more than 1 to 2 times per week due to handwashing some dishes (as the dishwasher cycle is VERY LONG. like 3 hours)! This morning the dishwasher stopped and gave error message, I tried to stop and restart. No luck. Then, while I had the door open, it started on its own!! (ID CALL THIS A SAFETY HAZARD). With all the complaints about this unit, I would think that Samsung would do a recall, or an optional recall, so at least those with issues can get unit corrected on Samsungs dime. We are choosing not to pay to have it fixed, as the reviews show that most have had to have fixed multiple times. Would rather buy a different brand than invest more in this faulty model.

Samsung Dishwasher DW-FG520W. Third time since February I have had to call for a technician to fix and replace the upper arm, which keeps breaking. Consequently I cannot shut the door to wash dishes. Third time! In 9 months! Lucky its still under warranty, but having read other peoples problems with Samsung, am now wondering if this is going to be on-going. Would not recommend buying this dishwasher.

Just a note to say that it is beyond me how a giant company like Samsung can sell such sub par products and allow themselves to disappoint millions of customers with their extremely horrible customer service. I cant even count how many bad reviews there are out there about numerous Samsung Refrigerator models, not to mention all the other product issues as well. We too purchased a terrible fridge model RF267 and have been dealing with the ice maker freeze up and water leaking among other things for years. Its appalling to me that Samsung can let this go on and on for years on end. If a company refuses to build a good product and refuses to be held accountable for their lack of knowledge in engineering and complete disregard for customer satisfaction, they should no longer be in business. Bye bye Samsung. The electronic world is far too competitive. Its only a matter of time before what you have dished out comes back to you.

Purchased all new Samsung appliances for our kitchen. The Refrigerator failed within a less than a year. The dishwasher failed within a year and now has failed again. The response and service is very poor. that is saying kindly. I will not purchase another Samsung product ever again in my lifetime and will be telling as many other people to do the same. Canada should not allow any company to sell products to consumers in Canada who are not willing to have an office within Canada to assist those consumers. Shame on Samsung and all who work for this company. Should have bought from Sears, not Future shop. They are just as bad, or worse than Samsung because they are absolutely no help to anyone, unless you purchase insurance through them and then they pass it off on the insurance claims. The government is also not doing a very good job of protecting consumers from this sort of thing. I have read so many other stories from people who are facing the same troubles with Samsung products. Never again.

In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to YouTube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher on 10/30/15. It began failing and showing error codes three weeks after its one year warranty expired. Samsung sent techs out three times, twice with no charge and never fixed the fundamental problem; the machine stopped cleaning dishes. Samsung made exceptions and we did not pay a cent for the service visits, but it was utterly impossible to get the company to simply replace the washer as it was just not functioning any longer. Short fused customer service at best and obviously a product line that is inferior. A class action lawsuit ought to be initiated against the company for anyone who bought a dishwasher that has failed in the past 5 years. An abhorrent experience with a dishwasher that was less than 14 months old.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher three years ago when doing a kitchen renovation. It has been nothing but a problem! It was serviced three times in the first year! Numerous pieces have broken inside the dishwasher and it does NOT clean my dishes!! The dishes on the top rack come out dirtier than when they are put in! I have given up and after three years am replacing it! NEVER NEVER BUY A Samsung DISHWASHER!!

I bought a new dishwasher model DW80R2031 in Dec 2020. I HATE this dishwasher. The prongs on the racks are angled and so close together that I cannot fit my dishes in. On the top rack my glasses do not fit in the shall rows and need to sit over one or two of the prongs. Because of that they knock against each other during the wash cycle. I am surprised that none of them have broken yet. On the bottom rack the prongs are so close together that the platters and lids to my pans do not fit unless I bend the prongs. Because all of the prongs are angled juice pitchers and pans have to just balance on top and hope they dont move during the cycle. I have to wash lots of dishes by hand because I cant fit get them to fit in the dishwasher. If I could take it back I would. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher around November, just installed 2 weeks ago in my remodeled kitchen. It has quit. Samsung has been of no help whatsoever except tell me that I need to call the repair people they have coming out to fix it. I called the repair people since I had not heard from them about when it would be repaired after 2 days of waiting. They inform me that they will be out on 4/29 to fix it. Mind you it was the 17th of April. They dont have anything sooner. This is ridiculous since the thing shouldnt be broke to begin with! My husband and I purchased a whole kitchen full of new Samsung appliances and one already broke. WOW! Next, I called Samsung back to see if there was a different repair company that could come out. They informed me that that is the best we can do. I became even more angry since a 2 week old dishwasher shouldnt be broke to begin with. Lowes has tried to be more helpful than Samsung by checking in to see if they could do anything. When the repair person comes out I am sure that it will be another week at least having to wait on parts. Samsung should take this piece of crap back and allow me to pick another brand. I WILL NOT purchase another Samsung product after this! They dont care. I purchased their product and am now stuck. Buyer Beware.

Warning! My dishwasher broke within a year, under warranty. Its been 10 weeks, six technician visits, 25 hours of phone calls and dozens of emails and I still dont have a functional dishwasher. Plus, one of the technicians uninstalled it and didnt reinstall it, so its not even attached to the counter anymore. In addition to all that, the cycle is nearly 4 hours long! Example of lies I have been told by this disgusting company after they replaced the motherboard, water wall and motor: 1. Once a technician comes out twice, we deem it defective and give you a refund. Its been six times so far. 2. Technician needs to come out three times before we can deem it defective. See above. 3. It doesnt work because you arent running the sanitize feature. Okay, still doesnt work. 4. It doesnt work because you are using regular Cascade pods, not Platinum pods. Okay, still doesnt work. 5. It doesnt work because you are using pods, not liquid detergent. Not according to Cascade, but okay, still doesnt work. 6. It works. I dont remember having you over for dinner and you offering to clean up, Samsung, so how would you know that? It leaks, doesnt even get some dishes wet and doesnt dissolve the detergent, liquid or pod. Model DW80J7550UG. Garbage product from garbage company. Do your research (wish I had) and unless you like to throw away money, stay far away from this company.

Bought this Samsung dishwasher DW80F800UWS only 6 months ago and have had to call 3 times for servicing for various issues. The first was a broken door latch, second was noises from the pump and not cleaning correctly and finally it stopped draining. For the cost of this dishwasher, there are way too many issues. I will say that Samsung does send a tech out promptly but that doesnt alleviate the frustration of having to call them so many times for repairs in such a short time frame. I wouldnt recommend this dishwasher.

Poor Samsung customer service! My dishwasher was broken after using it for second time. Fine! A technician came and reported it as an unrepairable issue in Jul. Then, it took 2 MONTHS to get replace approval! However, I got a call from Samsung after confirming with me to replace a new unit in Sep, said there is no available inventory near my area (Baltimore, MD), We (Samsung) are gonna refund you the dishwasher. So far (Oct), the case is still pending, the broken dishwasher is still in my kitchen! Never and ever buy Samsung products. Terrible customer service. Poor internal communication. Im running out of my patience.

We bought a higher end Samsung dishwasher at Best Buy on Black Friday, 2013. It was delivered 12/9/2013. It ran once through all cycles and dishes were dirty. Ran it again and it stopped and started blinking (many complaints say the same). So, we called Best Buy right after the new year to ask for help. Their one month warranty was up and further repairs were to be covered under Samsungs warranty. Well, two service calls later, they have to order a whole new computer panel. This is insane that an out-of-the-box dishwasher is defective. Called Samsung to ask for a replacement, and they denied it and said they will wait and see what the next replacement part does and if the issue is resolved. I will NEVER buy any Samsung product again and will hire an attorney to get my 700 back. This is outrageous that I have had to miss work 2 days already and now a third time? I would avoid Samsung products at all costs. AND, local repair parts retailers do not stock Samsung partsthey have to be special ordered.

I too bought a Samsung dishwasher, 15 months in, it stopped washing, out of warranty, so I paid out of for repairs. Then bought extended warranty, as offered by Samsung. 2 months later, I needed to use. Spent 9 hrs over 2 weeks and 22 people later, no one wants to send a repair tech! Do NOT buy Samsung, the warranty is bogus and the run around will give you a stroke!!

I do not have to rinse the dishes. Delay start, short cycle. The inside bottom rack has many ways to place the dishes in. The utensil rack is the whole length of the inside of the dishwasher. The top rack has where you can put in wine glasses where they are held in place with individual holders. It is black with stainless steel inside. I love how clean the dishes come out. Also no water spots. It is so quiet that you dont even know it is on.

When I tried to register the product at the Samsung site, it kept kicking me out to correct non-existent errors, giving me the suspicion they didnt want to accept my information or to honor the warranty. I got them on the phone and they cheerfully set-up an appt. with the only Samsung service available in a 75 mile radius, and I live just outside Chicago! Not sure what had happened to my brand new dishwasher, I decided to call the service outlet 12 miles from my home to inquire about the possibility of it being due to bad electric service. They informed me that the visit alone would be 138! I since realized it was Samsungs fault because I have 4 other electronic appliances that have been around for 5 years, trouble-free.But I also decided to Google trouble with this dishwasher and immediately found a website called: Consumer Complaints Reviews. Apparently, I wasnt the only one who discovered too late, that the most important part of selling me a Samsung dishwasher is getting me to purchase it. Of the top 125 complaints, there are about 20-30 Best Buy customers. The typical breakdown concerns the Chinese electronic control panel which is what my problem is, according to the trouble code. The dishwasher will recover after about 4-8 hours, begins a new wash cycle and then a few minutes later, stops and blinks the LEDs.Ive had it for 6 months and used it 10 times. I have the original box of Powerball tablets recommended by Samsung. I live alone and usually wash a lot by hand instead of wasting energy, soap, etc. Im presently at home with a back injury and no dishwasher! I can only stand for about 2 to 4 minutes and Im still paying for the broken Samsung. So far, the cost is 50.00 per wash load!I called Best Buy for help. I wanted to trade this for a new dishwasher of a different brand and they offered to take the unit away for me, while there, delivering my new purchase! I got angry and said, I couldnt find out it was defective before your time limit. I dont have that many dishes. They asked me if ID bought the extended service plan and I got more angry. I said: Once you get it out the door, it’s next customer? What happened to standing by your product? Youre in this business, obviously, you know this is junk, why is it on your floor to sell to me?According to these bad reviews at Consumer Complaints Reviews, Samsung had denied, blamed and dragged their feet at the customers expense for months at a time in many cases. So my worst fears about trying to clean my dishes with my injury are coming true! WHY Samsung? WHY Best Buy? I hope you have the decency to allow this review to be posted here, for the sake of your remaining customers, because Ive taken myself off your mailing list and cutting up your so-called: Elite membership! Just in case you censor this review, Ill be posting it all over the internet, everywhere I can, until my undeserved punishment is repealed by you or Samsung.

The wash cycle takes a crazy 3 hrs. to complete. You would think this would get the dishes clean but it doesnt. Thinking of ripping it out and buying a cheaper one as this one wasnt worth the money we paid for it.
