The Mi 10 Pro has taken the world by storm, with it racing to the top of DxOMark and selling like hot cakes in China. In advance of being launched globally on March 27, we wondered what the Mi 10 Pro has to offer over the Mi Note 10 Pro, a device that Xiaomi released a few months ago.

Theoretically, the Mi 10 Pro should be an obvious winner. However, scratching the surface reveals that is not entirely true. Below is an overview of some of the key specifications for both devices. We shall outline cameras in a separate table below.

Mi Note 10 Pro Mi 10 Pro
Dimensions 157.8 x 74.2 x 9.7 mm 208 g 162.6 x 74.8 x 9 mm 208 g

Charging 30 W wired 50 W wired 30 W wireless 5 W reverse wireless
OS Android 9.0 Pie (MIUI 11) Android 10 (MIUI 11)

On the one hand, the Mi 10 Pro will clearly outperform the Mi Note 10 Pro. Not only does the former have a more powerful SoC, but it also has faster RAM and storage. The Mi 10 Pro has more of the latter two than the Mi Note 10 Pro does, too. While 8 GB of RAM will remain enough for a few years yet, neither device supports expandable storage, so you must make do with up to 256 GB of storage on the Mi Note 10 Pro.

Additionally, the Mi 10 Pro has a larger display than the Mi Note 10 Pro, albeit both are 1080p panels. Hence, the Mi Note 10 Pro has a slightly higher pixel density. The Mi Note 10 Pro has a 100 nit brighter display too, although the Mi 10 Pro supports 90 Hz.

It is worth keeping in mind that the Mi Note 10 Pro is marginally smaller than the Mi 10 Pro, while also being 0.7 mm thicker. Both weigh 208 g, though.

Undoubtedly, the Mi Note 10 Pro will have better battery life than the Mi 10 Pro. The former not only has a larger battery than the latter, but also a more efficient SoC and a smaller display. Software optimization should not be a variable as they both run on MIUI 11, making battery life a definite win for the Mi Note 10 Pro over the Mi 10 Pro.

Then again, the Mi 10 Pro has superior charging capabilities. While the Mi Note 10 Pro is no slouch here with 30 W wired charging, the Mi 10 Pro can charge at up to 50 W. The latter supports 30 W wireless and 5 W reverse wireless charging too; the Mi Note 10 Pro is capable of neither of these. While the difference between 30 W and 50 W charging may be negligible in daily use, it is an advantage that the Mi 10 Pro has over the Mi Note 10 Pro.

The Mi 10 Pro does not necessarily offer a better camera experience than the Mi Note 10 Pro, either. Taking a look at the below, both have a 108 MP main sensor, although the Mi Note 10 Pro has an 8P lens to the Mi 10 Pro’s 7P lens. While not a huge difference, some people believe that the additional lens allows the Mi Note 10 Pro to produce more accurate images than the Mi Note 10 can, which also has a 7P lens.

Correction

The Mi 10 Pro also has an 8P lens, not a 7P lens as we previously stated.

Both devices have optically-stabilized telephoto sensors too, although DxOMark asserts that the Mi 10 Pro captures more detail at 5x zoom than the Mi Note 10 Pro can. Xiaomi also includes the same 20 MP ultra-wide-angle camera in both devices, but eschews the second telephoto camera and 2 MP macro camera in the Mi Note 10 Pro for a 12 MP portrait sensor in the Mi 10 Pro.

The Mi 10 Pro can also record 8K videos, whereas the Mi Note 10 Pro tops out at 4K. However, the Mi Note 10 Pro has a higher megapixel front-facing camera. The 20 MP camera in the Mi 10 Pro has larger pixels, though.

Overall, the Mi 10 Pro is more powerful than the Mi Note 10 Pro, while also having better charging capabilities and a higher refresh rate display. Xiaomi also sells the Mi 10 Pro with more storage and RAM, while both are faster than the types that the company includes in the Mi Note 10 Pro.

Conversely, it is harder to separate the two devices on cameras, as both have their strengths and weaknesses. The Mi Note 10 Pro will offer better battery life than the Mi 10 Pro, though.

While Xiaomi is yet to confirm pricing for the Mi 10 series outside of China, the Mi 10 Pro will cost more than the Mi Note 10 Pro. The most expensive version of the Mi 10 Pro currently costs 5,999 CNY (

Xiaomi, note, differences

US400) more than the top-spec Mi Note 10 Pro. Xiaomi sells the Mi Note 10 series as the CC9 Pro in China, for reference. Even the 8 GB and 256 GB version of the Mi 10 Pro costs 1,800 CNY (

In short, the Mi 10 Pro is the better overall device. However, it also has worse battery life than the Mi Note 10 Pro, while likely being considerably more expensive too. Ultimately, if you can do without the bleeding edge performance that the Mi 10 Pro has, then the Mi Note 10 Pro offers practically the same experience but in a much cheaper package. Dropping to the regular Mi Note 10 would save you even more money, although you must contend with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and a 7P lens for the device’s 108 MP main camera.

Processor and memory

Under the hood, we find the Qualcomm seal on both devices. Realme 6 Pro integrates Snapdragon 720G while Mi Note 10 does the same with Snapdragon 730G. The Xiaomi chipset is more powerful and has a greater impact on its most powerful GPU / GPU. However, on a daily basis, both terminals will operate the same given this difference with the most demanding games on the market.

The Realme 6 Pro comes with either 6 or 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage options. The Mi Note 10 only offers a variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In both cases, they have UFS 2.1 reading technology to make opening files and system processes easier.

Realme 6 Pro vs Xiaomi Mi Note 10: differences and advantages

Realme did not hide when they claimed they came to Europe to confront Xiaomi. The strategy is to launch very aggressive terminals in terms of price / quality ratio, which until now no one could “cough” Xiaomi on. Today we wanted to take a close look at two devices from both brands, such as the Realme 6 Pro and Xiaomi Mi Note 10.

There are many differences between the two devices. standing out from each other in several key ways. Plus, their are pretty far off too, so depending on the needs of each user, choosing one or the other can be a pretty straightforward task.

12 cameras between two

Mi Note 10. is the first Xiaomi mobile phone and one of the few on the market to have at least five rear cameras. It drives the main 108MP sensor, accompanied by two 12MP and 5MP telephoto lenses, a 20MP wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. At the front and in a small notch, we find a 32MP selfie sensor.

The Realme 6 Pro is not modest in this regard, but it does not reach the heights of the Xiaomi device. It features a 64MP main sensor, which is surrounded by an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. However, in the global sensor computation, they are ultimately linked as the realme 6 Pro has a dual 16MP selfie camera.

Screen and dimensions

The first big difference is found on the screen, where the Realme 6 Pro has an edge over its competitor. The Realme 6 Pro has a FullHD panel. which reaches 6.6 inches and has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, an attribute reserved until recently for the high end. The Mi Note 10, for its part, has a 6.47-inch panel that also achieves FullHD resolution. but does not have advanced upgrade technology.

Xiaomi, note, differences

As for the weight and thickness of both terminals, we can see that the Realme 6 Pro also weighs 202 grams and 8.9 millimeters in weight. Perhaps due to its larger battery, the Mi Note 10 reaches 208 grams and a significant thickness of 9.67 millimeters.

Battery and connections

The battery of the Realme 6 Pro reaches 4,300mAh. counting on the most advanced fast charging on the market, OPPOVOOC 4.0, allowing you to charge from 0 to 100% in 57 minutes with a 30W charge. Mi Note 10 expands to 5,260 mAh. much higher autonomy, which also has a 30W fast charge, but somewhat slower, reaching 0% to 100% charge in about 65 minutes.

Both have basic connections such as NFC, Bluetooth 5 and support a 3.5mAh headphone port. Both are supported by Android 10 with Realme interface and MIUI 11 layers. It is possible, however, that the Realme 6 will receive another operating system update as it is native Android 10 and the Mi Note 10 has been updated with Android 9 Pie.

Very fragmented prices

At the moment there is a big difference in price between both devices. The Realme 6 Pro can be purchased right now for € 299 in its 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. My Notes 10 in its only version 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, goes up to 409 euros.

Differences between Mi 10 and Mi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro

Now let’s take a look at the difference between the base model Mi 10 and the Mi Note 10 camera phone released at the end of last autumn, which became the world’s first gadget with a main camera, the sensor of which has a colossal resolution of 108 megapixels.

Note that this comparison is almost entirely relevant for the Mi Note 10 Pro version. After all, all the differences between the Pro and the standard Mi Note 10 lie only in the amount of memory (6, 128 GB in the Note 10; 8, 256 in the 10 Pro) and the number of lenses for the 108-megapixel lens (8 in the Note 10 Pro versus 7 lenses in the regular Mi Note 10). So let’s compare Mi 10 with Mi Note 10 and at the same time, in fact, with Mi Note 10 Pro:

  • Diagonal AMOLED display: Mi 10. 6.67“, Mi Note 10. 6.47 ”;

In turn, the devices do not differ in terms of the main camera. This is the same module (sensor) with a resolution of 108 megapixels, optical stabilization and a lens with an aperture of f / 1.7. The only thing we did not find information about is the number of lenses in the main lens of Mi 10. We know that Mi Note 10 has 7, while Mi Note 10 Pro and Mi 10 Pro have 8.

Note that the flagship Snapdragon 865 not only provides the Mi 10 with a significant performance advantage, but will also affect a number of other aspects of the smartphone.

Only part of the list of what the new advanced system on a chip from Qualcomm affects in the gadget

For example, the built-in image processing subsystems of the processor should improve the quality of the resulting photo / video, as well as open up more opportunities for developers to implement various software functions. By the way, the ability to record 8K video is largely due to the new processor.

The devices also coincide in terms of the presence of NFC, fast charging with a power of 30 watts, an advanced optical fingerprint scanner in the display (at least the seventh generation), as well as an infrared port. Now let’s summarize.

  • Larger and better display. In addition, with a refresh rate of 90 Hz;
  • Stereo speakers;
  • The most powerful processor at the moment with a well-thought-out cooling system: the ultimate solution for games;
  • The newest types of RAM and permanent memory: will be useful not only in games, but in everyday work;

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro VS Xiaomi Mi Note 10. Full Comparison

All the differences between Xiaomi Mi 10 and 10 Pro and Mi Note 10 (table)

Mi 10 or Mi 10 Pro: what’s the difference?

If you take a closer look at all the characteristics of Mi 10 and 10 Pro, it turns out that the devices are largely identical, including design, display diagonal and processor. The differences lie primarily in the cameras and related features. Let’s point by point:

  • Rear cameras: Mi 10. 4 (main, ultra wide angle, depth sensor camera, macro camera), Mi 10 Pro. 4 (main, ultra wide angle, telephoto for portraits, telephoto for optical zoom);
  • Ultra-wide-angle camera: Mi 10. 13 MP, f / 2.4; Mi 10 Pro. 20 megapixels, f / 2.2;
  • Telephoto camera or depth sensor: Mi 10. sensor, 2 MP; Mi 10 Pro. 12 megapixels, f / 2.0;

Mi 10 (left) and Mi 10 Pro are quite similar. At the rear, the Pro model features laser autofocus between cameras and three LEDs in the flash instead of two

  • Telephoto camera for zoom: only in Mi 10 Pro, 8 MP;
  • Macro camera: only in Mi 10, 2 megapixels, but there is not much point in it, so the ultra-wide-angle module can easily take over the macro function;
  • Optical zoom (zoom): Mi 10. absent, since there are no telephoto cameras, Mi 10 Pro. x5 (x10. hybrid zoom, x50. digital);
  • Laser autofocus: Mi 10 Pro only;
  • Flash: Mi 10. 2 LEDs, Mi 10 Pro. 3 LEDs;

But the front to distinguish between Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro is virtually impossible.

  • [not confirmed] Shooting slow motion Mi 10. 960 FPS in HD resolution, Mi 10 Pro. 960 FPS in Full HD;
  • [not confirmed] Slow motion video shooting with front camera: only in Mi 10 Pro (120 FPS);
  • Battery capacity: Mi 10. 4780 mAh, Mi 10 Pro. 4500 mAh;
  • Charging power: Mi 10. 30 watts, Mi 10 Pro. 50 watts.

Thus, we repeat, the main difference between Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro is in the cameras. over, the main camera of the gadgets coincides in key characteristics: it is the same Samsung S5KHMX sensor with a resolution of 108 megapixels, accompanied by a lens with an aperture of f / 1.7.

The differences, that is, the pros of the Mi 10 Pro lie in all the auxiliary cameras. Ultra-wide-angle (viewing angle 117 degrees) both in terms of the sensor and the adjacent optics, the base Mi 10 is slightly easier than the Mi 10 Pro.

In turn, the standard model Mi 10 does not have two telephoto cameras that are in the 10 Pro, although even Mi 9 had one telephoto lens. The Mi 10 instead has two 2 megapixel cameras. Macro and depth sensor. The latter does not shoot, but only evaluates the scene for a high-quality overlay of the background blur effect (bokeh effect). However, where there is a telephoto camera, such a sensor is not necessary.

Due to the lack of telephoto cameras, the regular version of Mi 10 without the “Pro” prefix does not:

  • High-quality portrait photography, which these cameras specialize in;
  • There is no optical (i.e. lossless) magnification. Instead, only basic digital.

Also in Mi 10 there are two more scanty “savings”: laser autofocus (again, it was even in Mi 9) and a flash with two LEDs instead of three in Mi 10 Pro. Another small point lies in the recording of a slow-motion video. This has not yet been confirmed, but allegedly Xiaomi did not endow the base Mi 10 with the ability to record Slo-mo videos in Full HD on the main camera, and also cut off the front camera for this part.

In addition to the cameras, we note that the charging power of the Mi 10 is 30 watts, in the Mi 10 Pro it is 50 watts. However, the power is not directly proportional to the charging speed. But the battery in the Mi 10 Pro, on the other hand, is slightly smaller in capacity than in the basic version. By the way, according to some reports, the display of the Mi 10 Pro has a slightly higher maximum brightness than that of the Mi 10.

The available colors of the standard version of the Mi 10 (pictured) are less strict than those of the Mi 10 Pro.

Everything else for the gadgets is the same: design, diagonal and display parameters (protected by Gorilla Glass 5), stereo speakers, processor, types of RAM and permanent memory. There is also a 30-watt wireless charging, reverse (reverse) charging, NFC.

The main camera is 108 MP with optical stabilization (OIS), support for 8K video recording, and a front camera. Wi-Fi 6, dual-frequency (dual-band) GPS and infrared.

  • No full protection against water (IP67, 68);
  • No support for microSD memory cards;
  • No 3.5mm audio jack
  • Also note: although the Mi 10/10 Pro uses a convenient two-way USB-C, it is still a slower USB 2.0, and not the most current USB 3.1 or 3.2.

Let’s see if Xiaomi, thanks to such new products, can rise in the ranking of smartphone manufacturers at least one position higher.

Table of Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi Note 10 and other powerful Xiaomi smartphones

Finally, a comparative table. Here we will compare the new Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro not only with each other and with the Mi Note 10 camera phone, but with Mi 9, 9T and other Xiaomi devices in a similar price range:

In the table, “strong” characteristics of devices against the background of other participants in the comparison are highlighted for clarity in green, “weak”. in red. Anything that is generally neutral or in the middle between disadvantage and advantage is highlighted in yellow.
