Transfer Application From Android To Android

The acquisition of a new iPhone is a joyful event. But before boasting a cool device in front of friends, it is necessary to fill out the contact book of the news with numbers from the former smartphone. Since the lion’s share of modern phablets is based on Android, the article will tell you exactly about the nuances of data transfer between Android and IOS. Having studied this manual in detail, you will be able to move all the numbers without loss. So, what software to use for these manipulations?

Transfer Application From Android To Android

Move to iOS

A service that will help in a few moments transfer all the necessary contacts from Android to iPhone. Before you start using it, it will not be amiss to check if there is enough memory on the “apple” device to accommodate all the necessary android files. After that, both devices connect to Wi-Fi and power. Well, and then. In order:

It takes no more than a couple of minutes to go through these few steps.

After that, you need to start the iPhone and find the line “Transfer data from Android.” A set of numbers will appear on the display of an iOS device, which must be duplicated on Android (a good gadget on this OS is Samsung Galaxy J7). The device synchronization process will begin.

After connecting the devices to each other, the user will be offered a list of materials suitable for copying. Here you can select all the items or put “checkmarks” just opposite the files you need. All. It remains to wait for the completion of the transfer of information. During the process, it is not recommended to “minimize” the software, turn off the Internet or power.

By the way, Move to iOS is Apple development. Its release occurred simultaneously with the appearance of the ninth version of iOS to the world.

Engage Google: detailed manual

Another way to copy and transfer contacts from Android to iPhone (for example, 7 Plus) is to use Google Contacts.

The action takes place in 2 stages:

1. All data from Android is sent to your Google account. To do this, click on the menu “Settings”. “Accounts”. “Google”, then register the login of your personal account and “Synchronize contacts”. If the memory contains a large number of numbers, the transfer will take some time.

2. Pick up numbers from your account on the iPhone. No more difficult than the previous guide. Only in this case, already on the “apple” you need to go the following way: “Settings”. “Mail, Addresses, Calendars”. “Add Account”. “CardDAV Account”.

Now you need to specify all the requested data and wait a few minutes. After a short time, the iPhone will be a complete list of numbers. Information can be left as is, or edited at your own discretion.

How to add contacts to iPhone with Android without synchronization?

The easiest way to transfer all your phone numbers to iPhone is to use the standard Import / Export menu items. In this case, you will not need to download additional programs or synchronization. How does this all happen?

On a smartphone with Android OS you need to find “Contact” and “Import-export”. This section has “Export to Drive”. Thus, the database will create a file in vcf format, which can also be read by devices from Apple.

Copy numbers from SIM cards

If you want all the numbers from the SIM card to remain on the iPhone:

  1. Insert SIM card;
  2. Settings menu. “Contacts”;
  3. Activate “Import SIM contacts.”

After that, a complete list of recorded numbers is copied to the same section of the device.

In addition to the above, there are many other ways how to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone. All of them are connected with the use of computer programs (for example, CopyTrans) and take much more time. But as an alternative and for additional information, you can master them at your leisure.

As for the listed copying techniques, even a beginner will cope with them. You only need to carefully follow the advice of the article and follow the instructions step by step.

Fill in the gaps. Expand the horizons!

In Android, data is stored in a similar way as on a computer. They are stored in folders in the form of files, that is, it is very similar to the usual system of organizing data in personal computers.

This makes it quite easy to transfer files from Android to a computer, in other words, without much effort to transfer or copy files from a smartphone or tablet to a computer, both using the Internet and without it.

Below we will talk about how to transfer files from Android to a computer or vice versa without the Internet.

If you have a Mac, then there you will need to install a special program to transfer data from Android. I describe the situation using a Windows computer as an example.

If the device with Android is turned off, then in this state it will NOT work to transfer files to the computer.

First, find the charger from your smartphone (device) on Android.

How to connect Android to a computer

To transfer data recorded in Android from Android to a computer, you need to connect Android to the computer using the wire from the smartphone’s charger.

Fig. 1 Charger for Android smartphone

The end of the wire that connects to the electrical outlet must be disconnected from the plug. After pulling it out, you can see the USB connector. So, we had a wire in our hands, which has connectors for connection at both ends:

  • On one side is a USB connector for connecting to a computer,
  • On the other hand, a micro-USB connector for connecting to Android.

Fig. 1.1 Connecting Android to a computer using a charger from a smartphone

The disconnected end with the USB connector must be connected to the USB port of the computer. The other end with a micro-USB connector must be connected to Android (Fig. 1.1). Then a small icon will appear on the Android screen in the upper left corner, which indicates that Android is connected to the computer (Fig. 2).

Fig. 2 Icon indicates that Android is connected to the computer

How to charge Android from a computer

While Android is connected via a wire from the charger to the computer as described above, it will also be charged from the computer.

This does not help transfer files from Android to computer. But you just need to know and remember. If you connect Android by wire from the charger to the computer, then Android will charge its battery from the computer to which it is connected.

This happens more slowly than when charging from a 220V network, but, nevertheless, the result (a fully charged smartphone) will be achieved. However, with this method of recharging there is a danger of “picking up” viruses from a computer to a smartphone.

How to take a screenshot on Android 4.2.2

We will take a screenshot of the Android main screen to fix (remember) this picture with the icon of connecting Android to the PC in order to later transfer this image to the computer. And thus we will show how this can be done using the cable from the Android charger.

To take a screenshot on Android 4.2 2, you should simultaneously press the Power button and the Main button. In this case, a clicking sound will be heard, as if the shutter of the camera had clicked. This indicates that a screenshot has been taken.

The first connection of Android to a computer

On the computer, when you first connect a device with Android to it, a warning window may be displayed stating that the Windows system installs the necessary drivers for working with Android. The warning window is shown in fig. 3.

Fig. 3 The driver is installed the first time Android is connected to the computer

When you reconnect Android, this warning window will not be displayed.

We are looking for Android on our computer in Explorer

When the driver installation warning window closes, you need to open Explorer, which is located in the lower left corner, next to the Start button.

Fig. 4 Explorer in Windows 8.1

In Explorer, you can see our Android device. In this case, it is called the Galaxy Grand (Fig. 5).

Fig. 5 Open the explorer on the computer and look for Android (Galaxy Grand) there

We click on the icon of this device “Galaxy Grand” (1 in Fig. 5). We will see in the right part of the Explorer window an image of a disk device (Fig. 6), next to which is the inscription “Phone”, that is, “Phone”.

Fig. 6 Explorer on the computer sees Android as a USB flash drive

In fact, although this is a phone (smartphone), Explorer sees it as an external hard drive or as a USB flash drive, that is, it does not see the phone itself (smartphone), but the data that is recorded on it. This allows us to transfer data from Android to a computer.

Double-clicking on the inscription “Phone” (Fig. 6) allows you to see the folders that are located in the memory of our Android (Fig. 7).

Fig. 7 Explorer on the computer shows what folders there are on Android (Galaxy Grand)

Among them we find the “Pictures” folder and double-click on it with the left mouse button.

The “Pictures” window will open (Fig. 8), in which we will see the “Screenshots” folder (“Screenshots,” that is, the screenshots of Android that were made on it).

Fig. 8 In Explorer, we find the folder with screenshots located on Android

Thus, we are slowly “getting close” to the place in Android’s memory where it stores all the screenshots.

After double-clicking on the “Screenshots” folder, we will see a screenshot of the Android screen taken after connecting Android to the computer.

Fig. 9 In Explorer, we see the name of the screenshot that was taken on the Android screen

The name of the screenshot is automatically created by Android. This is “Screenshot_2016-04-10-17-43-36” (Fig. 9). This name means that the screenshot was created in Android on April 10, 2016 at 17 hours 43 minutes 36 seconds. Thus, it is possible to identify and distinguish from each other numerous screenshots that can be created in Android.

Drag this file “Screenshot_2016-04-10-17-43-36”, for example, onto the PC’s desktop into the “New folder” folder (Fig. 10). To do this, make 2 windows on the computer screen:

  • One window with the Android folder,
  • The second window. With a folder on the computer.

Then you need to hook the file with the left mouse button and drag it from the Android window to the window on the computer, and then release the left mouse button.

Fig. 10 Using Explorer, move the file from Android to a folder on your computer

And thus, this file from Android will be copied from the Android memory to the computer’s desktop in a folder with the name “New Folder” (Fig. 11):

Fig. 11 The file was moved from Android to the computer in the New folder

Everything, the problem is solved, the file from Android is transferred to the computer. Now this file is on the PC, while a moment ago it was still on Android and seemed inaccessible to us on the computer.

Data of interest that may need to be transferred from Android to a computer can be located not only in the “Pictures” folder of Android, but also in other Android folders (Fig. 7).

What folders from Android can be seen on the computer

For example, on Android you can see the following folders:

Fig. 12 List of folders that may be on Android

  • Screenshots are stored in the Pictures folder on Android
  • In the folder “DCIM” can be stored photos ands shot using Android,
  • In the “Download” folder. All files that have been downloaded to Android, for example, from the Internet,
  • In the “Movis” folder. Movies and clips for viewing on Android,
  • In the “Music” folder. Files for listening on Android, for example, favorite music,
  • Also, the data we are interested in can be stored in other folders of Android.

It is necessary to search for files on Android and find it for subsequent transfer to the folders of the personal computer by the usual copy (or drag and drop) method from one folder (from the Android folder) to another folder (into the computer folder).

Thus, transferring data from Android to PC turns into the usual and familiar procedure of copying data from one folder to another folder.

How to delete files in Android

After transferring (copying) data from Android to a PC, you can (but not necessarily!) Delete this data from the Android memory. After all, as a rule, portable gadgets do not have much free space in memory. And if we transferred the data from Android to the PC (of course, it would be nice to check before deleting to make sure that the data is really transferred to the PC), then this data can be deleted from the Android folders.

Deleting files and folders from Android is done in the same way as deleting folders or files on a PC: right-click on the folder or file icon and select “Delete” from the menu (Fig. 13).

Fig. 13 Deleting a file from Android

It is important to remember that if the deleted files and folders in the PC are first transferred to the Recycle Bin, from where they can be restored if something happens, then

That is, errors when accidentally deleting the necessary files from Android cannot be fixed, as it could be done on a personal computer.

Only files created by an Android user can be copied and deleted, be it data from the Internet, photos ands of an Android user, screenshots and other personal data. But, I repeat, in no case should this be done with Android system files and folders so as not to damage it.

How to disconnect Android from computer

Well, finally, you can disconnect Android from a PC as follows:

  • First, disconnect the connector of the wire connecting Android and PC from Android,
  • And only then disconnect the connector from the USB port of the personal computer.

You need to disconnect the wire only when the data is no longer being pumped (not copied) from Android to the PC. Disconnecting the wire during data transfer can damage the PC or Android file system.

How to transfer files from a computer to Android

The reverse transfer of data from a computer to Android is done in the same way as described above.

You only need to select the transferred files on the computer, and then they need to be copied (dragged) to the Android folders. That is, this transfer system works in both directions.

Hope! To my last request, I have already managed to installed hisuite. But the computer does not see the tablet. I do everything in stages, introduced HDB, allowed tablet access to HDB, but the connection does not occur.

Hope! What are you smart. This is not flattery, it is just a fact, and you cannot say otherwise. To what is accessible, correctly you have stated everything, with an illustration. Thank you very much. I wish you good health and continue to help people in this way. George
P.S. On occasion, with your permission, I will use your help.

And what to do when not all files can be transferred to windows xp? Over, the algorithm is absolutely incomprehensible, for example, two files that are approximately the same in weight and with the same extension, one file is thrown without any problems, and the second is completely impossible, even the folder properties do not solve this problem

XP is a good system. It should not oppose file transfer. So, the problem is on Android, I can assume. Something is wrong with the files that are transferred to the computer. Maybe at the time of transfer they are somehow used in Android, therefore they are not available for transfer. As an option, as a version. I would try restarting Android, and after rebooting try again to connect it to the computer and try again to transfer “resisting” files.

Thank you very much, Hope!
Very useful and relevant for me. And, as always, affordable and detailed. Thank you so much.

Hello, Hope! Thank you for your interest in my problem! Wow! Well, why are you complicating things like that !? I wrote below: “The situation is quite simple:.” (And hereinafter). Naturally, I mean working with the main disk of the tablet, all the information that interests me is there. But an additional memory card is inserted into the tablet! Once I uploaded files to the main disk. Now I want to pick up (download, drag, cut-paste) them on the main computer. And nothing comes out! If I “rummaged” in computers, then, as a former criminal investigator, in the proceedings I would go from result to reason (from the crime committed to the criminal who committed it). In those years, this method worked for me at 99.9%! I’ll try to “swing” with the extra memory card pulled out, although it has nothing to do with the process. Good luck

Hello, Hope! Thank you for your answers. In my life I use the Tablet ONLY as a portable mobile workbook, the information in which I upload ONLY from my home stationary computer. There is no Internet, social networks, Skype and communication with other gadgets! Even there is no antivirus on it (a powerful one stands on a networker). I agree with you for some software failure! But what !? How to get around it and correct the situation? The situation is quite simple: from the tablet I download Word or PDF files on a stationary computer. The jump started, but after a few seconds. The download stopped and the inscription “Device is unreachable” on the computer’s monitor. In the opposite direction swings without problems! Some kind of devilry! Thanks for the tips! I will look for a way out of the situation further.

Hello. Perhaps you are downloading from one place in Android, and downloading to another place. For example, you download from an additional memory module, and download it into the Android main memory. Then your problem may mean that the additional memory module does not work correctly.
In general, in this situation, guessing about the reasons is a thankless task. It is necessary to act step by step. Take off one hypothesis after another. If my assumption about different memory chips is correct, then you can try to remove the additional memory chip from Android, insert it into a collapsible flash drive and repeat the download operation from the chip directly from this flash drive. But you never know what else you can think of in a similar situation.
You can put the downloaded file and the file to be downloaded in the same Android folder next to it. And experiment with uploading data from Android. Etc…

Hello, Hope! Thanks for the answer! I copy via USB wire.
I do not understand what it means “does not pull in power”? I download from the Sumsung 5110 Tab 10.2 tablet to a stationary computer (according to the specifications, everything is higher than the tablet!), And after several tens of seconds the computer writes that “The device is unreliable!” and stops pumping. So what could be the reason !? And why none of them tells me this reason, such as “Memory is full”. The problem is only in downloading files, but simply when connected, there is a stable connection with the tablet on the computer.

Hello! And, when I copy folders from Android to a computer, after a few seconds of copying, the latter writes that “The device is unreliable!” Why? What am I doing wrong?

Hello. It is better to copy over the wire via USB, and not through BlueTooth or Wi-Fi. Even if copying is interrupted by USB-USB wire, it means that one of the devices “does not pull” in its power. It is necessary to try in this case, on each device, disable all unnecessary programs, both on the computer and on Android.

Well, finally, you can disconnect Android from a PC as follows:
first, disconnect the connector of the wire connecting Android and PC from Android,
and only then disconnect the connector from the USB port of the personal computer.

Why? It seems to me. That it makes no difference, because in any case, electric. Will the chain be broken?

There are laws of physics that say that it makes no difference which side to turn off. And there is some statistics that says that if you disconnect from the side of the computer (laptop), then the problems of such a disconnection (under voltage) arise more often than if you disconnect from the side of the gadget first. The physical nature of this phenomenon has not been studied!
In theory, the laws of physics should be “higher” than some everyday observations and statistics. However, as they say, statistics are also a stubborn thing.
This is like a sandwich law. In theory, a drop in oil down is 50%, however, for some reason in life it is not! The same can be said about the so-called “Murphy’s humorous laws” (the sandwich is also there in these “laws”): if a nuisance can happen, it will happen, but if it can’t happen, it also happens. It’s clear that this is its own kind of jokes, but in life this often happens, otherwise it would not be funny. And from funny to sad, too, as you know, one step.
In general, somehow.

Hello!
Great article! And most importantly the most necessary!
Thank you, Hope!
