Specialists of the specialized publication DxOMark rated the camera of the new flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G. During testing, specialists traditionally shoot and evaluate more than 1,500 test images, as well ass lasting more than 2 hours.

Assessment of the photo by the main camera

The DxOMark score of the main camera of the smartphone is 118 points. Thus, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G takes second place, behind the Huawei P30 Pro. Exposures are consistent and accurate in various lighting conditions.

The new flagship also boasts a very wide dynamic range when shooting images in very bright or high contrast conditions, where detail in light and dark areas is well preserved.

In most conditions tested, a neutral white balance, accurate visualization, and a high level of saturation are maintained. Also worth noting is the accurate and reliable autofocus system and effective flash module.

Selfie photo rating

For the quality of the selfie, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G scored 99 points, which made the gadget a leader in the DxOMark rating for front cameras.

Images shot with the front camera are characterized by accurate exposure, good detail even in low light conditions, and excellent color reproduction. The automatic white balance system also provides good results in bright lighting and indoors.

As DxOMark noted, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G selfie camera photography mode does not have any real flaws and provides good image results in almost any situation.

DxOMark experts rated the quality of shooting at 101 points. In many ways, the shooting quality of the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G is very similar to the S10 5G, but the new model records 4K by default, greatly improving picture detail.

Also worth noting is a good exposure and fast autofocus. As shortcomings, experts call “excesses” with white balance.

Overall rating

The overall score of the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G was 113 points. Thanks to hardware advances such as a new chipset and a wider aperture on the camera, improved algorithms and fine-tuning, the new flagship of the South Korean manufacturer has become the best camera phone in the DxOMark database to date.
