Sometimes programs open in a couple of seconds, there are freezes and delays with displaying the interface, it happens that the smartphone just thinks for a second or two or the program reboots (I have had this with Yandex SIM cards several times). Switching from one application to another also does not happen instantly, that is, the system itself in terms of speed, in my opinion, is no different from how Android behaves on HTC One, for example. Exactly the same mini-delays, sometimes pauses in the display of programs, interface jams. all this is in the iPhone 5c. Another thing is that you quickly get used to these little things, how do owners of Android devices get used to them? and you just stop noticing them.

Control

Separately, I would like to mention the hardware keys that are in the Apple iPhone 5c (and any other smartphone from the company) and are increasingly absent in smartphones with Android. For example, as a person who already had to get used to the absence of hardware keys under the screen (with the exception of some Samsung smartphones), I really like such a button in the iPhone 5c. With its help, it is convenient to return to the main screen, unlock the smartphone without trying to reach the key on the upper end, call the dispatcher of the last running programs.

And I still can’t help but note the silent mode lever. A very handy thing that I used constantly and which I now miss on Android smartphones.

Of the minuses, I will note the implementation of a tray for a nanoSIM card. It seems to be made neatly, and there is almost no gap between it and the case, but dirt and dust are still clogged there, and after a couple of weeks this element looks sloppy.

Finally, we move on to the main point that I want to talk about. precisely, what I want to share with you is iOS 7. As you know, switching from Android to iOS or vice versa is almost the same as switching from Windows to MacOS or vice versa. You are completely changing your work environment and may need to change your habits, because many things in iOS are done differently than in Android.

The main screen, it’s also the program menu and everything else, I liked it. In this regard, now many manufacturers on Android are trying to copy iOS, removing a separate application menu from the shells and leaving only a desktop with many screens.

The notification curtain, called from above, is of little use in my opinion. Firstly, because it is impossible to display a lot of information there, only strictly provided data, if we are talking about the weather, stock quotes and others). There is nothing special to tell about the address book. it is very simple in iOS, there is no way to quickly search for a contact using the numeric keypad, there is no normal display of photos on at least half the screen (not only during an incoming call).

The lock screen in the best traditions of iOS is very simple, and it is also not easy to get used to it after Android, where every second manufacturer equips their smartphones with a lock screen with the ability to quickly switch to basic applications or even any of the installed programs.

I would also like to touch upon the sad topic of third-party programs that replace the basic ones. So, it’s not a secret for anyone that under iOS there is Gmail and Chrome, a proprietary browser from Google, which many people use both on PCs and smartphones. And if Gmail on iOS works quite well and even looks beautiful, then this cannot be said about Chrome. Unlike the proprietary browser for iOS, Safari, the program from Google works slowly, pages open longer, scroll with lags and twitching, there is no smooth interface when working in Grome on iOS. At the same time, the same number of open tabs in Safari. and the browser literally “flies”. For me, as a Chrome user, such discrimination (I don’t know if Chrome is badly made for iOS, or the system is, in principle, sharpened for my browser) is offensive, I’m not ready to switch to Safari, even for the sake of speed, so I had to put up with the brakes of “chrome “.

The general plane of the interface and its iridescence at first, of course, are a little surprising, and it seems that it will be difficult to get used to it, but only a couple of days pass, and the interface no longer seems strange, thin neat fonts begin to like it, like the entire appearance of the system as a whole.

I don’t know how to describe it most accurately, but I have completely different impressions from the experience of working with Android and iOS. If the first system looks like something massive with many possibilities, then the second one looks like a limited, neatly assembled tool for solving a number of problems. That is, when I use an Android smartphone, every now and then I have a desire to install something in addition to the standard software, check some things, settings, change the appearance, and so on. In words, this is called a large range of settings and the possibility of “customization”, in practice, personally, I really had such urges to pick and change something when using Android.

IOS is a completely different matter. While I was walking with the Apple iPhone 5c for two months, the device was used mainly for calls, mail, WhatsApp correspondence, the Internet and sometimes taking pictures. Everything. Of course, I myself perfectly understand how good this is of a neat, polished system in which everything works, but in general I still have the feeling that I have been using a phone with additional functions for two months, and not a smartphone. over, this is precisely at the level of personal impressions.

Camera

The opposite example, when I have nothing bad to say, is the camera in the iPhone 5c. The smartphone “borrowed” the camera module from the previous top model. iPhone 5, where the camera was one of the best on the market. So, the camera is also excellent in 5s. a well-defined white balance in almost all situations, good detail, equally high-quality images in different conditions: during the day in sunny weather, in the rain, when it is cloudy and even at night. Design, body materials

The first thing I want to talk about is the design and materials from which the iPhone 5c is made. I will say this. in the picture the smartphone seemed very nice and pleasant to me, moreover, when I just received the device in my hands in a sealed box, with the smell characteristic of new electronics, the impression did not change at all. After I took the smartphone out of the box, removed the films from it and turned it on, I still saw a beautiful and neat smartphone in front of me, as if from a picture. But it is worth using the device for just a couple of hours or even less. and the euphoria of the first positive impression breaks down on the harsh reality.

Glossy plastic in the Apple iPhone 5c is completely impractical. The first and most striking problem is greasy stains and fingerprints all over the body. Even if you wash your hands before each use of the smartphone (I’m not exaggerating), literally after five to ten minutes it first becomes covered with a barely noticeable layer of prints, and then it just turns out to be stained. The case has to be constantly wiped, otherwise using a smartphone is corny unpleasant.

The second problem is micro-scratches. On my sample, they appeared after about a week of use, and then they became more and more. Of course, these scratches are almost invisible, but if you bought a smartphone for 25,000 rubles, which is how much the 5c 16 GB version costs on the official website, then it’s just a shame to observe such a defect a few days after you start using the device.

And a few more words about the branded case “with holes”. As with the smartphone itself, the case looks great in photos and turns out to be completely impractical in reality. Made of soft rubber, it, firstly, quickly becomes covered with dust particles, hairs and other microparticles flying in the air, and secondly, it sticks to the fabric in s, and it becomes difficult to get a smartphone in a case from a jeans. for example, it becomes difficult.

Music

The iPhone 5 has a louder speaker, or just the sound is different, it has become more voluminous, although it’s hardly worth saying this in relation to a smartphone.
