How to configure the interface?

Choose a way to navigate the system: Settings. Smart Assistant. System Navigation. Here you can tell your device how to activate a single navigation key to access the home screen, additional screen and the last steps, whether to activate the virtual navigation panel (by setting the key combination) or select the quick menu.

Change Quick Settings: Lower the drop-down menu and click on the pencil icon.

Adapt your smartphone to your needs.

Changing layouts and arranging applications: press and hold in the free space of the home screen, then tap “Settings”. In this section, you can reorganize your applications even by shaking your phone to shuffle shortcuts.

Speeding up device interaction

Not all options offered by the device are useful. EMUI offers some features that we recommend using, because they allow you to optimize the interaction with your phone, reducing the number of gestures or transitions to a particular function.

Search for files faster: Swipe the screen from the main screen, you will see a search bar.

Turn on voice commands: Settings. Intelligent Help. Voice control to answer or reject a call using voice.

Calling a contact from the screen: press and hold the volume key, say the name of the contact after a beep.

Wake up Google Assistant: press and hold the home button, use a voice command (do not forget to activate the function from the Google application).

Open the application by drawing the first letter: Settings. Intelligent Help. Motion Control. Drawing.

Divide the screen into two using a gesture: Settings. Intelligent help. Motion control. Screen split gesture.

Enabling Quick Launch: On the lock screen, swipe up and down to access the sound recording, flashlight, calculator, timer, or camera.

Become a real camera master

This is one of the components that users use most often, the camera is full of surprises, especially now, when artificial intelligence captures smartphones. Introduced on the Mate 10 Pro and View 10 with the Kirin 970 NPU, AI helps optimize the shooting experience by choosing the best settings and modes, depending on your needs.

Turn on Pro mode: open the camera application. Swipe from left to right and click “Pro Photo” or “Pro”.

Take a screenshot: double-click the volume down.

Quick view photo gallery: open a photo in the Gallery, perform a pinch gesture to zoom out and scroll through other pictures.
