11- Disabling unnecessary services
With this item you need to be very careful and careful, especially if you are not an expert in computers. Even if you consider yourself at the advanced user level, this is not always in your favor, since disabling some services can dramatically affect the performance of the system.
We provide the smallest list of Windows 10 services that you can disable, and even then, provided that the functions provided by them are not used by you.
12- Disabling Snooping in Windows 10
So we come to the last point. Change the privacy settings. Disabling Windows 10 tracking features will help improve system performance, namely, Change privacy settings.
Windows 10, by default, monitors some user actions and sends reports to Microsoft. These background actions cannot but consume system resources, which is especially noticeable on weak computers. Tracking is disabled in the privacy section of the system settings.
- Menu “Start” Parameters Confidentiality Are common (Fig. 16).
(Fig. 16) (Fig. 17)
Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg, all other functions can be configured, but they are hidden deep in the settings of Windows 10. In order not to strain, and not bother with the fine settings, for this there are many programs that turn off tracking services, speed up and optimize the computer !
One such program is OO ShutUp10. In our opinion, this is the best program for correctly disabling the tracking functions in Windows 10. The program is also remarkable because it is in Russian and portable, you do not need to install it. Download, run, select the recommended settings, and that’s it, you’re done. The program OAbout ShutUp10. You can download here.
13- Defragmentation and optimization
You do not need to disable optimization for SSD drives. Windows 10 works with SSDs correctly and does not defragment them the way it does for regular hard drives, but optimizes them.
How Windows 10 optimizes SSD performance.
- Disables defragmentation.
- Disables the ReadyBoot feature.
- Uses Superfetch / Prefetch. A feature that has changed since Windows 7 and does not require disabling for SSD in Windows 10.
- Optimizes solid state drive power.
- TRIM is enabled by default for SSDs.
If you have a computer with an SSD drive and Windows 10 is installed, then in this case it is not SSD defragmentation that is performed, but optimization (in previous versions of the OS it was called defragmentation). The blocks are cleaned using TRIM (Retrim), which is not harmful, but even useful for solid state drives. In this case, you can configure nothing at all, a dozen will carry out optimization according to their own schedule, although you can disable this schedule if you really want to. Although for what? There is no point in this.
To further understand this point, let’s watch a
14- Proper installation of drivers
The main reason for the slow operation of Windows 10, and for most users, is the lack of original hardware drivers. This is especially true for card drivers, but it can also be applied to SATA drivers, the chipset in general, and other devices.
