How to Remove Age Limit On iPhone

Using the “Privacy and Content Restrictions” option for the “Screen Time” function, you can block or restrict access to certain programs and functions on your child’s device. You can also set limits on inappropriate content, purchases, downloads, and privacy in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch settings.

Configure Privacy and Content Restrictions

  1. Go to the “Settings” menu and select the “Screen Time” function.
  2. Click Continue and select “This is my [device]” or “This is [my device] of my child.”
    • If you are a parent or guardian and want to exclude the possibility of changing the settings on your device by another family member, select the option “Use passcode”. Then enter the passcode again to confirm.
    • If you configure the “Screen Time” function on your child’s device, follow the instructions until you are prompted to enter the “Main Password Code” and enter it. Re-enter the password code to confirm.
    • Click “Privacy and Content Restrictions.” If necessary, enter the passcode and select the “Content and Privacy” option.

Be sure to select a password that does not match the one used to unlock the device. To change the password code on your child’s device, go to the Settings menu “Screen time” [your child’s name]. Then click “Change Screen Time Password Code” or “Turn Off Screen Time Password Code” and authenticate the changes with Face ID, Touch ID or device password code.

If you forgot the passcode for restrictions set in the previous version of iOS, or the passcode for the “Screen Time” function, delete all data from the device and configure it as new to remove the passcode. When restoring a device, the old password is not deleted.
