How to make an account on your phone
Android for Dummies. The pilot episode. Sign up for a Google account
Dear friends, in our editorial we decided to start a new weekly column Android for Dummies. In it, I (and possibly other authors) will be telling our readers who are just starting to use their Android smartphone about the features of this operating system, and how to start using.
Introduction
I have been thinking for a long time about which topic to start with, because novice users have many questions: from the effectiveness of antivirus to the peculiarities of mobile Internet. In the end, in my opinion, the best option is to start with the basics and gradually move to more complex topics. Today we’ll talk about the initial setup of your Android smartphone and creating a Gmail box. What is there to tell? our experienced readers will ask and they will be wrong. You’ll laugh, but I’ve seen a few times people with Android smartphones that didn’t even have their Google account authorized!
First time you turn it on
After you turn on your new smartphone for the first time, you need to select your language, install your SIM card (if you haven’t done so beforehand) and connect to the Wi-Fi network. If there is no Wi-Fi the smartphone will ask you to use mobile data to connect (I highly recommend to connect the basic option of mobile internet with your operator, it is BIT with MTS, Internet XS with Megafon or Haiway 1 GB with Beeline).
Creating a Google Account
After that, the system will ask you to sign in to your existing Google account or create a new one. If you don’t have an account, I highly recommend creating one. It will store information about your settings as well as all your contacts. If you buy another smartphone, it will be enough to use your username and password to transfer all your data from the old phone to the new one, it is very convenient. I also strongly recommend to write down the registered e-mail address (which is a Google-account) and password in some diary, in general, somewhere where you certainly will not lose it, while others will not have access to it.
Finish configuring
The remaining settings are dedicated to location and clock settings (as a rule the time is determined automatically, and you only need to select the time zone). Do not uncheck the two items geopositioning, they are needed for the correct operation of Google Maps and faster positioning.
Why do I need to register a Google-account?
In addition to synchronization of your contacts and other data, with a Google account you can enter the Android Play Store and install third-party programs. Client for or Odnoklassniki, Skype or a new toy, all this becomes available to you only after registration of the account.
Depending on your smartphone, the interface of the start screen may be slightly different, do not be surprised if it is.
In the next issue I will talk in more detail about the mobile Internet and the peculiarities of its use, and then we will talk about the operating system Android itself.
Dear advanced readers. The articles in this series will have especially strict moderation, so attempts to practice wit may result in your being banned.

How to do it?
There are several ways to do this. Some of them require a second device, preferably a computer. For now, however, we will only look at ways of using a single phone. All you need is a smartphone with Android at least 8.0, a spare phone number for further registration and password from the current account.
Deleting an old account on Adroid
So, the first step is to delete the old user profile. But before you do that, we recommend saving the necessary data from different services. To learn how to do this, read below.
Exporting data from deleted profile
Let’s start with the most expensive for people, namely the data on Google drive. This is both all the photos from the device (if you have synchronization enabled) and the user files. To export, follow the steps below:
Now wait for the request to be processed, and then the archive with the data will come to your email address. Do not rush to change the account before this time, otherwise you can lose the information forever. The idea is that this way you can download all the data, down to the sent and received emails in GMAIL.
But if you don’t want to wait, there is a faster way. export directly from the service. Let’s look at the example of contacts. Open the service “Contacts. Click the “Export” button on the left menu. The service will prepare a VCard-file that you can download.
Deleting an account
So, the data is safe, now let’s move on to the process of deactivating the profile. Algorithm of actions:
Done. Now the old profile no longer exists. It can be restored only in the first few months.
