How to make a regular printer with a network. Error “Find the driver”

Connection and configuration of a network printer in Windows 7/10

It is difficult to imagine a local office of an office or home without all kinds of peripheral devices. The most common among them is the printer that allows you to print text documents or some graphic information. The question arises of how to provide access to such a printing device from any of the computers on the network. There is an option when an expensive printer is bought that can connect directly to the router/router via Wi-Fi or cable. This is a good solution, but for a small network, for example, home, it does not seem optimal. The more suitable option in this case is to make network a regular printer connected to one of the PC network. Let’s tell you how it is realized.

But first, we repeat the initial data. So, we have several computers united into one network using a Wi-Fi router. A printer is connected to one of the computers through a standard USB cable (in our case, the multifunctional device HP Laserjet M1132 All-In-One Printer). The task is to configure the printer so that it can be printed on it from any of the PC.

Installing and setting up a network printer in Windows 7/10

First, we will perform the necessary actions on a computer directly connected to the printer. It is assumed that the printing device is installed correctly and without reference to the network works correctly. It will be enough for us to simply provide a overall access to the printer in about the same scheme, according to which overall access to folders opens up. True, you should first make sure that Windows includes an appropriate option that allows you to make folders and printers publicly available. To do this, we go to the control panel. the network control center and total access, and then on the left, click on the link “Change the additional parameters of the general access”.

We look so that there are active parameters “enable network detection” and “enable general access to files and printers”.

In principle, if before that the computer has already worked on the network and files have been shaved, then these options should be included.

Now we go to the control panel. devices and printers. We find our printer, click on it with the right button and select the point “Printer Properties”.

Next, go to the “Access” tab and put a checkmark next to the parameter “General access to this printer”. Set the network name of the device. it should be without spaces. We called the printer hp_laserjet_m1132_mfp.

We make the printer network in Windows 10

In the presence of one printer and several computers within the same room, it is often necessary to use this printer as a network. That is, so that from any computer you can send a document for printing on the network on it. To do this, it is necessary to perform a certain series of actions, which we will talk about in more detail in this article.

To do this, on the computer, to which the printer is connected by the wire, you need to go to the control panel and there select “Devices and Printers”.

Open the control panel in Windows 10

In the window that opens, find the printer you need (the one that will be network), press it on it with the right mouse button and select the “printer properties”.

Next in the properties window, go to the “Access” tab and install the “General access to this printer” checkbox.

In order for the drivers to be automatically installed during the network connection of the printer to other computers, you need to click on the “Additional Drive” button.

In the window that opened, if possible, install checks opposite X64 and X86. Next in all open windows, click “OK”.

If, when trying to connect a network printer on another computer, a request appears to enter network data in the form of a login and password, then it must be turned off. This is done on the computer to which the printer is connected by the cable.

Disconnecting access with password protection

It is also worth paying attention to the fact that for a successful connection of the printer over the network, it is necessary that computers are on one local network and one working group.

Additionally, check whether the total access to the printers in general access settings is included.

To do this, go to the control panel to the network control center and total access.

Networks control center and total access

In the window that opens at the top left, click on “Change the additional parameters of the general access”.

Extended network access parameters

There, these ticks should be included:

Setting up of general access parameters on the computer to which the printer is connected by the cable

Connection via a computer cable

    at least two PC, it doesn’t matter, these are stationary blocks with a monitor or laptops;

One of the computers will be a print server.

First, it is worth connecting the printer to the computer, t. e. Combine the cord and install the driver from the installation disk or uploaded file.

It is better to install a printer on a more powerful computer if there is such an opportunity.

How to shake the printer

When the devices are working normally, the printing is working, you need to make the printer with network, that is, provide access. The described algorithm below is identical to Windows 7, 8, 10, there are no differences.

On the same tab, if desired, you can assign a network name of the printer for any convenient.

If the discharge of Windows differs, then when adjusting access should go to the “additional drivers” window and put the flags at the “X64” and “X86” points.

Next, you need to enable network detection, which gives access to folders, files and printers located or connected to a computer-server.

Changing the type of network

The problem is acute for users “dozens”, where, by default, after installation, the network is set by publicly available. In this case, the computer will be hidden from other devices on the network. Therefore, it is necessary to change the network to a private.

On Windows 7, you need to use the link in the “View active networks”, select the “home” option.

Connecting other computers

Connect the first with a network wire with a second computer via LAN port. You need to insert a cable until the very end, until a distinct click sounds. After, the network connector on both devices should be lit up.

    If there are three or more computers, then with laptops the number will be limited to two. Когда требуется подключение большего числа ноутбуков, воспользуйтесь маршрутизатором, роутером или обычным свитчем. Then for each laptop a separate network connecting cable will be required.

Below is a diagram of connecting two laptops into one network. A similar connection principle works for stationary devices.

Setting up the working group

All computers should be located in one group and have different names. Do actions below to verify the same group and differing names.

The last installation step

Go to “My Computer”, on the left in the conductor find the “Network” section, cut out, the network computers should be displayed. If you click on the main thing, then in the working area will be displayed available to viewing the directory with files, equipment, including a shaved printer.

To connect a network printer and finish the entire process, open the icon menu and select “Connect”.

Connection will begin. If the drivers were not installed earlier on the computer used now, then the system to offer them to copy. Agree and wait until all files are accumulated, the addition of the device will end.

What settings are needed

To perform any additional settings of the network printer does not make much sense. All parameters that relate to the quality of the print are exhibited on the main server. The only thing that can be done is to install the printing equipment by default.

If the network has already worked

A common situation when the LVS (local computer network) has long been turned on, but suddenly it was necessary to connect the peripheral device. So that to connect the printer to the local network, it follows:

  • connect to the printing apparatus to the selected PC;
  • Add the printer to Windows by installing drivers;
  • On the rest of the “machines” in the conductor via the Network label, find the printer and add it through the context menu.

Network via Wi-Fi

You can completely get rid of wires if the printer supports the connection via Wi-Fi. Similarly concerns computers. It is necessary that the network work, t. e. The Internet was heard by a router. Then you do not need to go into the settings of adapters, prescribe any parameters.

All actions are reduced to ensure that there is a connection of the printer and PC to one Wi-Fi network.

make, regular, printer, network, error

After, you need to configure access according to the instructions above and install the network device through the label in the conductor.

Printing over the Internet

Any network user can use open access for printing. The convenience of this approach is the absence of the need to connect each of the devices at home separately.

Before setting up printing via the Internet, you need to check the operation of the network for errors, make sure that all gadgets are visible in the network environment, and the All-In-One Printer is completely regular and the correct drivers were installed on it.

Open printing through Wi-Fi technology is made by step-by-step algorithm:

  • In the section “Control Panel” you need to find the “Printers and Faxes” block.
  • In the list that appears on the screen, find the “Properties” column.
  • In it, select “access” and move to “General Access”.
  • In the Bloc “Safety” note the icon “Print for all users”.

Important! The specified procedure is carried out only after debugging the network All-In-One Printer and checking the performance of the Roter-Printer-PC ligament.

Connection All-in-One Printer

To print information on any peripheral equipment, Google came up with a special program. “Virtual Printer”. To get started, you need:

  • Connect the equipment that is attached to the PC. On the device, they open chrome and go to the Google account.
  • In the browser settings they are looking for a “virtual printer” and click on the label “configure”.
  • After activating the “Add Equipment” unit, a list of all gadgets will open. So that they can further be connected automatically to the functionality, it is enough to install the corresponding flag.
  • The “Printer Management” menu move to the Google account, after which the working device will be added.

Important! There is a general rule for Windows devices: Authorized Chrome should be installed on PC. The same account is used for equipment.

Checking performance is carried out on a standard principle: the documentation is opened in the application and is sent to print. After sending the file, an automatic opening of the chromium tab will take place, in which it is necessary to clarify the name of the peripheral equipment. The rest of the procedure is similar to the standard: the type of paper, format, color or black and white is selected, etc.

How to connect to a remote printer via the Internet

Many users who have successfully dealt with the Wi-Fi task module puzzle over the problem of how to connect the printer via the Internet.

Experts recommend debugging for two stages: from setting up the personal computer itself, to which the All-in-One Printer (via cable) is connected to the tolerance to the secondary device, with the right to print documents.

Important! If there are several personal computers, laptops or mobile devices in the house, before each you will have to repeat the second stage separately. Otherwise, you should not expect the efficiency of the ligament and the trouble.free press.

Setting for operation on the network

To obtain the expected result to the printing device, access should be opened. After entering the “Start” you need to move to “Devices and Prinaters” and find the current model of technology.

After clicking on the All-in-One Printer shortcut, select the Printer Printer Printer block, go into “access” and set a permit for general access for all users. After completion, any person with access can connect and print the necessary documentation.

Important! Accurate setting will make the printer publicly available for all trusted mobile devices and PC, which are connected using Wi-Fi.

Open access to the printer

Debugging laptop for remote printing

The device requires adding it to the list of connected gadgets. For this, a simple algorithm is performed: from the “start.up” they enter the “Devices and Printers”, move to the “Printer Installation” Subseum. In the window display, select “Add printer”.

OS will automatically run the search for available devices and offer the one that was activated at the first stage. After that, you need to click on “Next” and wait until the operating system downloads the right drivers and sets the remote All-In-One Printer. After the appearance of the next window, they squeeze on “further” and “ready” or launch “stamping of the test page”.

Important! After the procedure, a new printer will appear in the list of devices connected to the computer. You can send any documents to it through remote access, through the network, for printing.

The acquisition of additional equipment will create a modern device from an outdated All-in-One Printer, which can be used through Wi-Fi. Individual users prefer a change in old equipment to the latest, with the functionality already involved in it. The Wi-Fi Print Server for All-In-One Printer is a universal solution for inexpensive devices with disabilities.

How to make a network printer using a wireless router

From this article you will learn how to turn a regular printer in wireless, connecting it to the router. If this does not work, the printer can be connected to a computer with an Internet connection, and then open a common access to the printer to other computers that are in your local network.

Find a USB port on the back of the router. If your router has such a port on your router, you can connect a printer using a USB cable that is attached to the printer.

Place the printer next to the router. Do this to connect a USB cable without interference with other connected cables.

Connect the printer to the hoster. Using this method, a computer connected to the Internet can be used as a wireless source for the printer. First connect the printer to the computer via a USB cable, which is attached to the printer.

Turn on the printer in the electro.stop. Select an electric outlet next to the computer to avoid stretching or bending of the cable.

Follow the instructions on the screen. If you need to install drivers or specific software, do it.

Setting up a computer (os) from which (s) will be printed

Before direct setting up other computers, the following conditions should be met:

If these conditions are met, then proceed to the setting. To do this, open the system window of the device and printers. About how this can be done the fastest, was described above.

In the device window opened and printers, click on the button to add a printer there.

The process of searching and adding printers will be launched. If in your case several printers and other printing devices will be found, then select yours and click on.

In the subsequent process of installing the printer and drivers for it, relevant requests will arise in the system. answer them in the affirmative.

Possible problems that you may encounter at this stage:

1) If the printer was not detected during the installation process, then try to restart all computers and try again.

2) The printer may not be determined because different generations of operating systems are used, for example, Windows 7 and Windows 10. And you are guaranteed to face a problem if you try to shake the printer on a computer with an outdated Windows XP for printing with Windows 7, 8, 10 in your local network.

Solution: Stop using Windows XP and install the current version of Windows on the computer.

3) even if you use the operating system of the same generation, but their discharge (how to determine the discharge of the system. 32 or 64 bit?) different, then problems may also arise. the corresponding driver will be requested.

Solution: Try to independently look for drivers with the required discharge, if one were not found and installed in automatic mode.

I hope that you will not face these problems, and everything will be installed in automatic mode.

At the end of the system, your printer will be displayed, to which you can display the seal of documents and other materials, as if it were directly connected to your PC.

The only nuance: the computer to which the printer is directly connected should be in the on the time the data is sent for printing. Otherwise, the documents will not be printed.

Check network settings

If you connect the network printer, it is worth checking the network settings.

Firstly, both computers should be connected to one private network, and secondly, network detection on them should be activated. Cm. also: how to enable network detection in Windows 10. Do the following actions for both PC:

Now you should not have any difficulties when connecting a network printer in Windows 10. And the setting methods through the “control panel” will help you install a common printer in previous versions of Windows.

How to eliminate problems

The desired printer does not have available network printers in the list (that is, the system does not recognize the printer). Before connecting the printer to the network, install the necessary software (driver), which is on the CD attached to the printer, or on the printer manufacturer’s website.

The printer works for some time, and then disappears from the network. This is due to the settings of Bonjour technology on the printer. In this case, go to the last section “How to install a network printer via IP address”.

Use home groups to use a network printer from computers running Windows 7 and Windows 8. This is the easiest way to jointly use a network printer if there are only computers with Windows 7 and 8 in the local network. To get additional information, read this article, or read on if for any reason you cannot use home groups.

  • As a rule, the printer will be installed automatically, as soon as you connect it to the computer via a USB cable. Otherwise, install the printer manually.
  • Open the control panel and select the “Networks Management and General Access Management” or “Network and the Internet”;
  • Click on the link “Change the parameters of the general access”;
  • Expand the section “Home”. it contains the settings of your local network;
  • Set the “Turn on the overall access to files and printers”, and then press the changes.
  • Open the control panel;
  • Select “Devices and Printers” or “View devices and printers”;
  • Click with the right mouse button on the desired printer and menu select the Printer properties (do not choose the Open option);
  • Go to the “Access” tab, install the “General access to this printer” flag and click.
  • Make sure that the computer to which the printer is connected is turned on, and its system is loaded;
  • Open the control panel on the computer to which the general printer is connected;
  • Select “Devices and Printers” or “View devices and printers”;
  • click add the printer at the top of the window;
  • Select “Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer”;
  • In the list, select a network printer and click on.
  • Install the drivers if it is offered. In most cases, Windows will automatically find and install the right drivers.
  • Make sure both computers are in one working group. To get additional information, read this article;
  • First try downloading printer drivers for Mac OS X. Go to the printer manufacturer’s website and find out if there are drivers for Mac OS X. If they are, download them, and if not, read on;
  • Open the Apple menu and select “System Settings”;
  • click “Print and scanning”;
  • Hold the “” button “under the list of printers;
  • Go to the Windows tab;
  • Select your working group, the name of the computer, to which the general printer is connected, and then the name of this printer;
  • Open the “Use” menu, click “Another” if you downloaded the driver for the Mac OS X, and then select the loaded driver. If you have not found the driver, click “Choose the Printer software” and view the list to find out if compatible software is available. If there is no available software, select the Postscript printer;
  • Set the printer configuration parameters. This can be done as soon as you install the driver.

How to eliminate problems

The printer works for some time, and then disappears from the network. This is due to the settings of general access to printers in Windows. If you often encounter this problem, try connecting to the printer through its IP address (go to the last section “How to install a network printer via IP address”).

  • Please note that it is easier to connect to a computer with Windows from a MAC computer than vice versa. Therefore, we recommend connecting a common printer to a computer running Windows and using the previous method.

Open the overall access to the desired printer. In the “General Access” window, set the flag at the printer, which you want to make common. To open access to several printers at once, set the flags for each of them.

Change resolutions (optional). If you want, indicate which user will have access to a common computer. By default, all users connected to the local network can be printed on a printer. You can limit access to the printer by name of the user.

  • Open the Apple menu and select “System Settings”;
  • click “Print and scanning”;
  • Hold the “” button “under the list of printers;
  • In the menu, select the desired printer.
  • Download software “Printing Bonjour” service. You can download it here. [4] X Source of Information
  • Run the downloaded installation file;
  • Launch the Bonjour Printer Master. He will appear when you install a downloaded program;
  • Select the desired printer; Make sure that the Mac computer and Windows computer are connected to one network;
  • If a request appears, install the printer software (driver). If there is no printer on the list, download the driver that can be found on the printer manufacturer’s website.

Local network connection methods

What is required for connection and settings:

  • at least two computers. if there are more than two devices, then starting from the second, each next should have two network cards, t. to. The first with the second will be connected by one connector, and the second with the third, the third with the fourth through the second LAN connector;
  • equally squeezed (e) on both sides of the Internet cable (and);
  • cable to connect the printer to the main PC;
  • software. a driver for a system interaction of a computer with a printing device.

With this scheme, one of the computers will be a print server. So, for printing from secondary computers, it will be necessary to include the main. This is the main drawback of the cable local network.

It is recommended to choose the main computer that has maximum technical characteristics.

First you should connect the printer to the computer that will act as a server, and install the drive from the disk, or use the installation file of the driver downloaded on the Internet.

Settings on Windows 10

Do the described algorithm on all computers.

Settings on Windows 7

  • Menu “Start”-“control panel”-“network and Internet”-“center of control of networks and total access”-“change the additional parameters of general access”. Turn on access for possible networks everywhere.
  • Change the network to the “home” if the “public” is installed.

Rename the group on the “seven” for all PC to the same:

  • Call the context menu icon “My computer” by pressing the right mouse key.
  • Click on the “Properties” item and on the corresponding tab (computer name) change the name of the group.

Reviewing Internet adapters

Each computer should be on the same network, but differ from each other in its network address (IP).

To do this, regardless of the version of the Windows operating system, you need to click on the link “Change of adapter parameters” in the “Center for Control of Networks and General Access”.

Call the properties of the connected adapter, and then the properties for the protocol IP version 4.

Since the main gateway at the end has a number “1”, “2” should be set for a computer-server, and for each next figure, for example, for the second “3”, for the third “4” and so on increasing in terms of increasing.

What result should be obtained

If everything is done correctly, then in the conductor, with the opened “Network” icon, a shaved computer will be displayed. And when you click on it on the right side of the window, the contents will be displayed.

By default, only standard folders will be shown, there will not be a printing apparatus yet, t. to. At the next stage, you will need to make a printer with a network.

How to shake the printer over the network

To make a printing device with network, take the following steps:

Installation of a printer on other computers

To connect to a shaved printer, in all modern Windows releases you should open a “my computer”, open a “network” tree on the left in the conductor and select a shaved computer.

On the right, provided that all access is open and the correct network configuration is set, a printed device will appear. To install the network device, make the right mouse click and select “connect”.

The installation of a printer will begin, during which a request will appear from the system to confirm copying the driver’s package. You can agree or refuse, but in the second case you will have to separately put the driver from the disk or the program uploaded from the network network.

When copying is over, you can check the result of the work by trying to print any document. If the printout did not work out, the printer is not displayed in the print program (notebook, Word or another), you can check the result of the installation in the equipment of the “Device and Printers”.

The main settings of the network printer are performed only on the “central” PC. All that can be adjusted to the client PC is to install the default printer and set individual settings in the print program.

How to connect a network printer via Wi-Fi

The instruction does not differ with “wi-fi”, the same parameters are set. If all devices, including the printer, are connected through the Wi-Fi router precisely by wireless communication, then the IP addresses are automatically assigned by different ones, so it is not required to change IP in the properties of the network card.

The situation is relevant for owners of equipment when you want to use a minimum of wires, and the printer is located close to the router, which is necessarily equipped with a USB port. At the same time, the printer is not equipped with a Wi-Fi module, otherwise there is no sense in such a connection.

  • Printer or All-in-One Printer directly connect a USB cable with the port on the router.
  • Manually add a print unit through a standard installation tool for printing periphery. Open “Devices and Printers”, click on “Add printer” (Windows 10) or “Printer installation” (Windows 7).
  • At Win 7, press if you need to configure the main computer, click “Add a local printer”.On the customer click “Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer”. The port is sequentially selected on the main thing (you can not change), the exact model of the device from the list is located and indicates and the addition ends. On other network computers, everything is done in the same way, only you need to specify the exact name of the device or IP address.
  • On Win 10, the setting will begin with the search for available office equipment, but will not find anything. Therefore, to configure the printer in Windows 10, click on the link “The necessary printer is absent in the list”.Create a new port and prescribe the network name of the distribution device.Further, similarly, select the driver by the exact name of the model, continue the installation, setting the basic parameters.

Types of connection

Before you configure the network printer through the router, we will deal with the possible connection options. So, you can connect the printer to the router in the following ways:

  • Through a USB port. This connection is possible if your router is equipped with a USB connector and supports the seal over the network.
  • Through LAN Port. If your printer is equipped with a built-in print server with a network port, you can connect it to a router using a patch cord.
  • By Wi-Fi. Some modern printers are equipped with Wi-Fi module and can contact the air router. You can also connect to them directly from the laptop equipped with a Wi-Fi module.
  • Using a hardware print server. This is a separate device to which the printer is connected. The print server has a LAN port for connecting to the router.

USB connection

Connect your printer to the USB port of the router using a cable. Both devices must be turned off. Then we turn on the router, wait until it loads. After that, you can turn on the printer. By default, the router does not need special tuning, it must immediately recognize the printing device. You can check this by entering the Web-Inteatheis of the device and opening the network card. The model of your printer should be displayed there. If this does not happen, check the status of the print server. He must be online.

Wi-Fi connection

If your printer is equipped with a wireless Wi-Fi module, then you can connect it to the router by air without any wires. You can do this in two ways:

  • WPS. In the instructions for your printer, we find how to activate the WPS function. Then click the WPS activation button on the router. We are waiting for the connection to be established (the indicator on the router will stop flashing) and check if your printer has appeared on the network map.
  • WEP/WPA. Manual setting is similar to setting the first connection to the wireless network of any Wi-Fi device. We find the network setting in the printer menu, select the network we need and enter the username and password.

Connection via LAN port

If you are a happy owner of a printer with a network port, you can connect it to a router via LAN using a conventional patch cord. The cable usually includes. If it is not, you can use a patch cord from a router if you are not involved. Or buy a cable of suitable length in the store.

In the device menu, you need to ask him a static IP address. It is advisable to do this even if the DHCP service is tuned on your router. The fact is that if the IP address of the printer is constantly changing, this will complicate its search and it will periodically disappear from the list of available devices. Of course, there is an option to reserve an IP address in the DHCP settings of the MAC address server.

After that, the printer will reboot. After which it can be found in the list of network devices.

Install the printer drivers and print the test page.

Using a hardware print server

If your printer is not equipped with a Wi-Fi network or a Wi-Fi module, and a router-a USB port, you can purchase a hardware print server. As mentioned above, this is a separate device, which is a mediator between the router and the printer.

Budget models have one USB port and network port. expensive-several USB, as well as optionally, LPT port. Also, the print server can have a built-in Wi-Fi module and connect to the router not by cable, but by air.

First we connect the print server to the router, and the printer to the print server.

How to fix, No driver Found error Epson L360 trying to connect Network Printer, fix 100% Working

Print server setup is carried out using the attached branded utility. It allows you to find a print server on the network and set an IP address for it. Further configuration is carried out through the web-integer according to the instructions. You can enter it by introducing an IP browser in the address bar, which was installed for a print server during the initial configuration.

As you can see, there are several ways to connect your network printer to the router depending on its hardware capabilities.

Computer settings

Regardless of what of the methods described above you have chosen, the settings on the computer are performed the same in all cases.

You can configure through the “control panel” or through “printers and scanners”. The setting is similar.

“Printers and scanners” appeared on the latest versions of Windows. This application is suitable for setting up a network printer on Windows 10.

We will configure through the “control panel”, which is available on all versions of Windows. In particular, suitable for configuration on Windows 7 network printer.

Find in search of a computer “Control Panel”. In the control panel, we find the “Devices and Printers” section. Click on the point “Add printer”.

The system will try to find the device connected to the computer, but, of course, it will not succeed. Therefore, we will use the item “The necessary printer is absent in the list” at the bottom of the window.

On the next page, select the addition point by TCP/IP address or node name. Click “Next”.

In the next window in the “Type of Device” drop-down list, select “TCP/IP”, and below in the “IP address” and “port name”, we enter the address, which we get as follows:

  • With a connected printing device for a USB to a router, we enter the IP address of your router, which you enter in the browser to enter the web-integer. This is usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.one.one. It is indicated on the label in the lower part of the device.
  • When connecting via LAN port with a given address through the menu. In this case, we enter this address.
  • If the printing device is connected via LAN and receives the IP address with the DHCP server, we look at what address was received on the DHCP server.

A checkplace from a survey point and driver selection is automatically better removed.

In the next window, put a checkmark in the “Special” item and next to it, click the “Parameters” button.

In the settings window, we select the LPR protocol, and in the “Stage name” field. in our example we wrote “NASETI”, in fact, any name is written. Click ok and return to the previous page.

Now you can click “Next” and proceed to the actual installation of the printer. The driver can be selected from the list or installed from the disk.

You can set a new name to the printer, or you can leave the default set.

We refuse to resolve overall access to the printer and click again “Next”.

There should be a message that everything went successfully and the printer is ready to work. To make sure of this, print the test page.

Print server setting on a router

If you have difficulties, you can use the utility to configure the print server on the router. You can download it from the official website of the manufacturer by selecting your router model in the “Download” section.

To configure the print server on TP-LINK routers, the TP-Link UDS Printer Controller is used. After you downloaded and installed the program on your computer, run it and it will automatically find all the printers connected to the router. Select the one you want to use for automatic connection.

The utility works with Windows and Mac OC.

For D-LINK routers, use Siutility proprietary utility. If you have a router of another manufacturer, look for compatible software on the official website.
