Opening on the lock screen

To quickly view recent notifications on the lock screen, lift your iPhone or wake your iPad from sleep mode. On the lock screen, you can also do the following:

  • Select one or several notifications of one or another program at once.
  • Swipe notifications to the left to view or delete them.
  • Manage alerts for specific programs.

To preview notifications on the lock screen, go to the Settings section Notifications “Thumbnail Display” and select “Always”.

The Lift function for activation is available on iPhone 6s and later.

Opening in the Notification Center

The Notification Center displays the history of your notifications, which you can scroll back to view missed notifications. There are two ways to view alerts in the Notification Center.

  • On the lock screen, swipe up from the middle of the screen.
  • On any other screen, swipe down from the center of the top of the screen.

To clear the notification history, press and hold the icon, then select Delete All Notifications. Or click the icon and select “Clear”.

Notification Management

To manage notifications from the lock screen or the Notification Center:

  1. Swipe an alert or alert group to the left.
  2. Click Manage and select one of these options.
    • “Deliver silently”: notifications are displayed in the Notification Center, but not on the lock screen, they are delivered without sound, and banners or icons are not displayed for them.
    • “Turn off”: this option allows you to turn off all notifications for a specific program. To turn them back on, go to the Settings section “Notifications”, select the program and click “Tolerate notifications”.

    In the “Settings” section, you can also change the styles or parameters of alerts for a specific program.

    Change alert styles

    To add or change the notification style for notifications, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Settings menu “Notifications.”
    2. Select a program in the Notification Style section.
    3. Select an alert type and banner style.

    You can also enable or disable sound and icons.

    Change settings for notification groups

    You can group notifications into groups or store them separately.

    1. Open the Settings menu “Notifications.”
    2. Select a program and click Group.
    3. Select one of the following options.
      • “Automatically”: notifications from each program will be grouped according to program notifications.
      • “According to the program”: all notifications from each program will be combined into a single expandable alert.
      • “Off”: notifications will be displayed in the order received and will not be grouped.

      In this section, you can also choose how to preview notifications for specific programs. For example, notification thumbnails may appear always or never, even if the device is locked.
