How to adjust the colors on a Samsung

Set up the edges

Samsung phones are equipped with many interesting features, one of them is the edge lighting. It appears when the phone is closed and not in use.

When you receive a call or message, the edges of your phone are highlighted. To change the appearance of the backlight, select “Display → Edge → Lighting → Style”. Here you can select different effects, colors, transparency, width and duration.

When you swipe on the right edge of the screen, your favorite apps and contacts appear. You can not only change the content of the panel, but also add or delete entire panels. To do this, go to “Display → Borders → Lighting → Screen Edge Panels”. the different panel settings are displayed. You can add weather, financial news and more. By clicking on the three little dots in the corner and selecting “Edge Panel Control” you can adjust its transparency and size.

How to turn on the dark mode on a Samsung smartphone.

Lately the “Dark Themes” become more and more popular in the settings of smartphone interface. Many people find that a black screen background makes their mobile device more mysterious and interesting.

But as it turns out, the interest in Dark Mode. Dark Mode) is also dictated by a simple desire to increase battery life of the smartphone, since the displays of most smartphones Samsung Galaxy installed active matrix on organic light-emitting diodes (in English. Active Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode AMOLED). This type of matrix has several advantages over IPS matrices, which are also installed on modern smartphones. every pixel of the AMOLED matrix is off when “transmitting” the black color. Therefore, a black screen background allows you to save on battery consumption.

Samsung Galaxy smartphones under the Android Operating System (OS) with the proprietary One UI shell necessarily have a “Dark theme”, which in version 9 of Android and earlier versions was called “Night Mode” (Night Mode). With the release of One UI 2.0 for Android 10 “Dark Theme” has been renamed to “Dark Mode” and got new features, including wallpaper darkening, a blue filter and the ability to turn on the dark view on a schedule.

How to adjust the screen of a Samsung smartphone for comfortable reading?

Today’s smartphone, while it continues to fulfill its primary function as a “phone,” where people can communicate through conversation (t.е. with sound), now, paradoxically, the phone is the lion’s share of information is transmitted through the screen.

At the same time, man is built so that 80% of information he perceives through vision, and only the remaining 20% through hearing and other senses. Now, thanks to the revolutionary development of information technology, everything has fallen into place: over the past 20 years, the main means of transmitting information by phone instead of sound has become the image.

Modern technology allows you to display a “picture” on your smartphone screen, with a palette of millions of colors, bright, saturated, with such a high density of pixels that they are barely distinguishable to the untrained eye.

But smartphones have one “thing” that most limits a person’s ability to see a human image comfortably: the small size of their screen.

The initial settings of the phone screen are designed for the eyesight of a young person with “1.0”. And then, on a relatively small phone screen, you can place the information as on the computer monitor. But the font is correspondingly small, and if it is not contrast color, then people with vision less than “one” use smartphone for a long time becomes very uncomfortable.

But on a smartphone (smartphone. smart phone) you can make an individual adjustment of the screen, taking into account the preferences of its owner.

Turn on the dark mode in Samsung Internet

By default the light theme is enabled for Samsung Internet. If you have different tastes or needs, you can easily turn on the dark mode.

Here are the steps to enable the dark mode function in Samsung Internet:

  • Launch the Samsung Internet Browser.
  • Click on. To open the menu list.
  • Select the dark mode command button in the menu list.

Your Samsung Internet browser will be in dark mode. Not only will your browser look beautiful and appealing, but it will use less power. You can always return to the light theme using the same option.

Discover the mystery of the golden key why you changed your TV Sony to Samsung? It is like switching from a Toyota Camry to a Solaris! With all my mixed feelings towards the Hi-Fi components of this company, their TVs are some of the best on the market in terms of image colors and black depth, although Sony has its own annoying software and sometimes have problems with pairing TV with audio equipment from other manufacturers, but the image quality questions to Sony.

To achieve from your TV quality picture requires calibration of the image with special measuring equipment, which would require you to have a certain amount of money. Calibration is an individual thing for every TV and you can’t tell in advance what settings will be in your TV.

Why, all of a sudden, how to move from a Toyota to Solaris, if you like TV from Sony, it does not mean that TV from Sony is better. To each his own who likes what he likes, some like LG, Sony, Samsung. About setting up special equipment, that’s funny, this is adjusted if there are problems with color rendering, and in this case the computer will eventually figure it out by itself and by trial and error method will adjust to himself, and after some time when he gets used to it, will say that the TV from Sony is faded, it’s all a matter of habit.

You are wrong. Sony shows not a faint picture but more naturalistic picture.

I just said that the faded, for example, for taste and color, as they say.

That has long been known to all, just TV from Sony are much more expensive than Samsung and not everyone can afford to buy a Sonyka. That’s why Sony is being criticized from all sides.

That’s nonsense too. The adult models both cost about the same.

Katyusha, you have a slightly different country and the may be quite different from those in Russia. In our country, Sony sells significantly more expensive than Samsung, if you take TVs of the same class.

They are significantly more expensive everywhere, Russia, RB (except for Minsk, nowhere Sony, expensive) and Europe too. Koreans are fooling the Ukrainians.

When I’ll be at work, I can take a picture of and compare them with yours.

Why are you talking nonsense?? expensive in Belarus, more expensive in Russia, more expensive in Poland, France, too. About fooling around is of course a joke, but I do not know how you pricing is formed) Equal cost for the top models will be fatal for Korean manufacturers, if we are not talking about highly specialized panels.

Most common Sony. the 81 and 85 models. Their price in any diagonal is similar to the Samsung cooled 6 and 7 series.

Republic of Belarus. Katerina, if the price of Sony 85 in Kiev is equal to the cost of Samsung, and even 6 and 7 series:) we go to you! With one clarification, if the Samsung price is not pulled down to the Sony price.

Well and border how to cross the border with TV need to think)

Do not pull Samsung, otherwise no one would buy. There is not a big gap between samsom and other manufacturers.

Katya, please send me a couple of on Sony, from 65 diagonal and above. Thank you.

What models are interested?? I can skip the of its network, where I work.

Discount that is in stock, model-price from 65 “. And if you can, the country of manufacture.

Availability I can specify myself only when working. Exactly in my salon only two variants (the most popular and best-selling). 81X and 85X models, but in all diagonals. are comparable to the average line of Kuledovskie Samsung.

But here are the models that are just in our network across the country. I think you can translate into your own understandable currency.

are oddly enough significantly more expensive than ours. The first one, for example, is almost on the 950 y.е., strange, in Ukraine the technique has always been cheaper.

About the country of manufacture just now read, apparently you have corrected your text.

We have all Malaysia (at least those models that I have in the showroom).

But here are the models that are just in our network across the country.

I had no doubt, with our legislation.

Here, I took this model for example: It costs us 26730 in hryvnia conversion

Normal difference, given all sorts of things with the laws, taxes, etc.

By the way, for my money. masterpiece model!

Well, you know, I took his QE50Q80T temporarily, soon it will move into the bedroom, living room will be bigger diagonal to choose.

Value for money. I recommend this model, but 65″ (but with the index AU).

We have no AU, only A. U. This is probably the Ukrainian version.

The main thing is A, not T. This is the difference between 20 and 21 years (model range).

Although. I do not know exactly how the index goes to your country. I can call the adults to double-check, but it’s tomorrow at work.

Just pay attention to the index in the model you pinned me (it is the latest version for our market. FIRE!).

That’s what I understood. Because I bought mine in March, at that time the T was the last. I think when I get a new one, there will be other letters. The index is probably the same. Probably the Ukrainian version has added and/or removed streaming services, corresponding to the country. I don’t think there is much difference between them (AU and A).

Who is used to parrot. To the cartoonish picture with overdone colors on the Samsung, of course, for those Sony images will seem faded No argument there. Everyone has their own tastes!

It’s a myth, both about Samsung and Sony. Or just old stereotypes.

Katyusha, what myth are you talking about?? I’m a little confused.

Katyusha, I accept your rebuttal, but only on points, with specific facts and evidence, and just words do not count!

I look at Samsungs and Sony (Samsung as the author’s). I don’t see the Sams throwing up and the Sony not taking advantage of them.

Katerina! Т.Do not see the parrot cartoon in Samsung

Katyusha, the same does not count, only if you give a comparative table with actual measurements Sonia and Samsung on the test tables on the measuring equipment and only if the settings were reset to default before measuring Samsung and Sony. I think that would be correct and most importantly objectively.

Don’t bother, Catherine is a liar, the owner of TV from Samsung.

I don’t know about TV sets, I look at the picture in the showrooms and I understand that there are Sony, Hitachi, Panasonic and some other TV manufacturers)

And don’t tell me about market shares and matrix production, I trust my eyes (and a comrade manager of the authorized repair service))

You are hopelessly behind on television.

And by the way, I have a Samsung not because it is Samsung, but because only recently it was one of the best devices in the world. I bought the picture and the technology, not the brand.

I’m not behind on anything yet, especially when it comes to selecting sophisticated technology.

Why should I lie, I’m not interested? Ask any experienced consultant about TV, he will name the same manufacturers and in the same order. So yes, there is kpi, I need to sell this month the “Korean 1” and next month the “Korean 2”, then repeat it. And the price in the CIS expanses decides.

And I do not need to ask anyone. I’m a TV salesman myself. So I probably know more about them than you do

I’m not laughing, of course you know the technical part, but how to explain to me that the worst picture is actually the best?) Who cares what technology, if the TV does not show very well relative to other TV.

There you go again, the commentary was redone and I didn’t see it yesterday.

The point is, it’s not about how you personally like it, it’s about how it’s more natural. It is more or less the same as in the sound. Not everyone likes naturalness.

But the trick is a good TV you can adjust to your “perversions”, and you can’t make a congfuette out of a bad one.

And who’s used to faded images then how?

adjust, colors, samsung

From your comment I give a 100% guarantee you have never owned a Sony.

Slap me a minus, doesn’t help to buy it)

Minus do not put, in general, the point is, I have never owned a TV Sony, because when I buy come to the store and choose for myself, what I like and buy.

“Discover the secret of the golden key, why did you change your TV Sony to Samsung?”

I just wanted a 4K TV. I read reviews on all sorts of cooleds, HDR, etc.д. I couldn’t afford the Sony, so I decided to take the Samsung, especially since I got a considerable discount. Something like this. I think you can get a decent picture from the Samsung, it just takes time and some knowledge.

Yes, I have a room of 4.30 x 4.30. 3 meters to the screen.

I’m having a hard time getting used to it right now.

You can treat it with a month of viewing, and then you will want to add 10 inches))) or even 20))

It is very difficult to see the difference between Full HD and 4K on 55 inches, the difference can be seen on diagonals above 65 inches.

The difference is so easy to feel and see.

Katyusha, I will not argue with you, you know better.

I’m sorry, who told you such nonsense?

The bigger the diagonal, the further away from the TV. The difference will only be at close range

How Colour Adjustment on Any Samsung Galaxy device J7Nxt,J7Prime,A50,M30,M20 [HINDI]

Interesting approach, let’s throw a couple of movies on a flash drive or DVD and go to the store and watch what you like and buy, why read?

That’s the way it is. A priori a failure in terms of the right choice, for one simple reason that all the TV in stores stores in a demo image mode and therefore exhibited at almost maximum brightness and contrast and in this mode is extremely difficult to make the right choice.

In the store the TV should make a wow effect on you, that you immediately took a purchase credit and bought the device and many are far away from understanding that such a bright picture with burnt colors is very far from the natural colors that we are used to see daily around us.

I agree, but what’s the problem to press a couple of buttons and turn off the demonstration mode, set it any way you want and watch what you want, in the same MVideo, even turned off the light over the TV, when I chose a TV.

Well, according to the brand book, demo reels can only be in the brand area. In the showcase all the TV sets must stand in “standard” mode and spin the same clip all together (for the correctness of the comparison).

For some reason in our stores the very model I was interested in most of the time they showed me something else.

Technically it is a violation of the standards. Maybe just not everyone takes them seriously. Maybe you don’t have such rules.

In our salon everything is strict, because I head the AV department, and if anything. I’m the one who’s going to get the crap beat out of me

There are probably rules. And here’s the attitude. Very often salespeople don’t even know what they’re being asked about, and you have to find out for yourself on the Internet. Such unobtrusive service.

I had the same situation. The young guy salesman couldn’t tell or show you anything. I’m glad I knew in advance what I was going to buy.

Employers don’t think it’s necessary to train their workforce properly. As they call it these days, “cost optimization”.

Your knowledge will hardly help; you need to calibrate your TV under your viewing conditions.

Camry is loved by cab drivers in Japan and Solaris by cab drivers in Russia. So there is no difference.

The matrix on the TV in question is from AUO (Taiwan). From whom, then, Sony buys, the question arises.

Even Samsung and LG buy from each other, depending on demand. The matrix itself does not say anything about the final quality of TV.

In any case, Samsung, Sony, and LG are all quality TVs. You can argue which one has a better picture, but each of them can be adjusted for you. And conversations like “Samsung is too bright, and Sony is too pale. It’s prejudice.

The matrix is the first thing that tells you what quality you can expect in the end. If the original spectral color purity of the triad pixels and the mechanical inter-pixel noise of the sensor itself isn’t good, no amount of algorithms or electronics can fix it.

I was talking about something else, not that it makes no difference what quality matrix.

I’m sorry if I misunderstood. For me the quality of TV is the quality of the picture. There’s usually a correlation. If the image is fine, then the overall quality is fine. Simple logic, good (it means expensive) matrixes are not bought by a second-rate manufacturer.

There are people who seriously believe that since Sony bought the matrix from LG, it means the Koreans are better than the Japanese.

The best picture comes from the best components. Sony has high class components (not my idea if anything).

It’s like this. Not everyone can guess that it may be “not a gentleman’s business”.

Who decides which components are the best and which are the worst?? Or as marketing specialists teach us: those which are more expensive are the best. For example some time ago Sony used Samsung matrixes in some of its TV ranges, and before that they had a joint production of matrixes, of which Sony then sold its share to Samsung. It will be economically profitable to buy Taiwanese and Chinese matrices. Business is most important. As Henry Ford said, “You think Ford makes cars? Ford makes a profit.”. Link to high-end Sony components please. Most likely another marketing myth. Most of my acquaintances live in the world of advertising legends asking me before buying a TV what brand of TV is the best? Disappoint them that such does not exist, it is necessary to look at a picture of a specific model and specific implementation, because in addition to the matrix the image quality affects the processor and software, and the firmware and implementation of a particular instance. For me personally, functionality and support of various formats and standards are also important.

The owner of the authorized service center of equipment manufacturers said, including Sony service, those are his words. And believe it or not, it doesn’t matter.

The top ones, yes. Another nano-something from LG. And in the pre-top and below, many from whom. AUO also uses. Globalization and degradation is in full swing.

Easy quick setup by eye, without own test materials in the work environment.

And here’s the result compared with the factory settings (the author’s TV on the right)

Thank you Katerina, I will try it tomorrow. Today at work.

Yes Sony shows very cool! I myself am the owner of a TV Sony 75 Xh 9096). The black is really good.

I have 3 Samsung qled 7, 8, 9 series TV sets at home, I have turned them on since purchase and I haven’t seen any eye-painting. Setting is an individual thing, who likes it, and no one can say that it should be like this. The first thing you do in the settings change (remove) the dynamic mode, change it to a movie mode, etc., as it greatly affects the contrast, what you describe, and so TV as they come from the store never changed the settings, well, maybe only the sharpness and all.

I tried the “Cinema” setting, it’s dark.

You are comparing the picture of your new TV with the old one. Reduce the saturation, contrast, maybe even brightness to make the image look like the old one.

The old Sony 2013, even though it was regular FullHD, was just as good. I don’t see much of a difference, even though it’s 4K. The Sony has more natural colors.

You are used to Sony colors and they seem fine to you. About naturalness: it always happens when you buy a new device, we unconsciously think of the old one as a reference and compare with it. You can adjust the color saturation, contrast and brightness to get the exact picture you like.

I guess you are right. I’ve had all Sony televisions since the Trinitron.

Because it’s Sony, I’ve written about it a thousand times.)

How did you get the idea to take Samsung after Sony? I would understand if Panasonic at least)

With natural colors you can not do anything, no matter how you twist the controls. Alas.

Sony has become very expensive. I can not afford them any more.

Before Sony had always had a softer, less bright, saturated and even less clear picture than say Panasonic screens and there were lovers of such pictures. All subjective.

About the Color just tear your eyes out probably something close to that has Samsung.

By the way, Samsung started out as a seller of dried fish, local food and noodles.

If you have a computer/laptop with normal color reproduction (ideally. calibrated), you can try. Download a color reference chart like this:https://buynbest.ru/download/Hacamada_test_lab_3245x2224.jpg. Put your monitor and TV next to each other (to compare the picture) and use the TV menu to adjust the brightness, contrast and color tones.

Yes, by the way, not a bad idea!! At least to get an approximate match to the eye!

I did the following on his Samsung QE50Q80T:

Set the picture Filmmaker mode. Then in the picture settings, I set the brightness to 35

Tone (Z/K) 30 /KOI’m happy with a capital “Shh”! Really dynamic, standard and normal modes are a bit “wrenching”. And the smart mode is the worst of them all! But now I have not changed anything in the settings. You can try it, it won’t make it worse 🙂

There is a special site about TV rtings.com they are testing tv’s and working out kinda reference settings for each model, the site is in english but google help try so to speak.

adjust, colors, samsung

Friends, thanks for replies and suggestions. I think it’s time to close the thread, because it started to go somewhere sideways.

Most likes probably the most useful tip for you 🙂

These are adults who are just nostalgic.

Doubtful to knock out anything worthwhile. Taiwanese matrix.

I tweaked all settings and disabled all smart settings, economy mode, it was ok. Into a finer setting. like color space settings, didn’t get into it yet.

Another question: where are the built-in clips in it? I can’t find it.

Another question: where are the built-in clips in it? I can’t find.

I don’t think there are any built-in clips. Internal memory is too small. YouTube is full of demo videos.

Password 1111, confirm and select demo.

Getting more and more senile, the man bought a TV, and in order to tune it up he has to organize a laboratory at home, buy measuring instruments, put on a white coat and go. And then the local “guru” begin to minus, when you openly call them sick people.

It’s not as bad as it looks. It’s just the colors are a bit on the nose. My wife, for example, likes it all. I’m used to something else. I corrected your minus as best I could.

It’s okay. I must be sick too, but I’ve got it.

You are not happy with the picture, the normal remote control settings do not change it. My mother-in-law bought a Samsung, she was sold its price/quality and was also told to do it at home, taking into account the lighting, but you can’t do anything anymore. Calibration would have helped but it is a hassle and we just changed it. Your comment is garbage.

I do not remember, it was not yesterday, inexpensive 55″, up to 800 y.е.

Aha. At worst, 7100, at best, if you get a freebie, maybe as much as 9000, but these are the usual ladders. 7100. Aha 7100 is crap, especially if it is a TU.

Retired people took cheaper ones of course.

For that kind of money I wouldn’t take a Samsung

No wonder they’re chasing good TV’s when they use their budget models.

Well more expensive also took a comrade, is no longer at home, and in the cafe hangs) Bygone, the subject rolled away.

I have a Samsung 8-series, it shows everything fine. Yes, just Led, oh I do not have a mom-businesswoman, driving a bunch of Mercedes, so that’s it. If you can not adjust the picture from the remote control, it is already to an ophthalmologist, it is clearly a problem with the eyes.

I don’t have a businesswoman mom driving a bunch of Mercedes

But I do not earn it myself? It’s easier to blame others for having a businesswoman mom!

How to adjust the screen for color blindness on the Samsung smartphone.

The brilliant screens of today’s smartphones offer a saturation of over a million colors. And looking at this world through a smartphone screen, whether taking pictures or “surfing” the Internet, we are optimistic about this life, colored by the infinite number of colors emitted by the display pixels, even if it is filled with worries, worries, sadness or joy.

But, according to medical statistics, seeing the full color spectrum is, unfortunately, nearly impossible for many people: about 8% of men and 0.5% of women in the United States are not able to see color correctly because they suffer from color blindness.

Deuteranomaly (more commonly referred to as “color blindness”) is a color perception disorder that is usually congenital. The term “color blindness” began to be used in the late 18th century. It is named in honor of the English chemist J.B. Dickinson. Dahlton, who was able to identify and describe this disorder in himself.

A person is able to perceive the primary colors of daylight because of the special receptors in the retina, the cones. There are only three, and each cone is responsible for the perception of a different shade of red, blue or green. All other colors are obtained by mixing these basic colors. Normal functioning of cones forms in a person the correct color perception. When one of the receptors malfunctions, a person’s color perception is distorted. In medicine, this is called dichromasia, and there are three types: deuteranomaly is a type of color blindness, characterized by an inability to perceive green hues, i.e.е. green is confused with red; protanomaly is color blindness, in which a person has difficulty distinguishing between red hues, t.е. red is confused with green; tritanomaly is color blindness when there is no perception of blue, t.е. blue is confused with yellow.

Fortunately, this specific perception of the color gamut, which is also called “color blindness”, does not affect the clarity of human vision.

But this deviation in color perception cannot be cured, and the only method that somehow allows to correct it is the use of glasses with special filters, which are ordinary coated lenses that allow a person to distinguish shades of green, blue or red.

For a person with such a congenital disorder, it is perfectly possible to live a full life: all you need to do is adapt to the world around you. And the smartphone, the screen of which can be adjusted by switching on special light filters, will help you in this.

How to adjust the Samsung Galaxy screen instruction

Hi! Today I will show you how to set the screen on your Samsung Galaxy phone. You can quickly and easily change the display settings. Brightness, colors, icons, modes, screensaver, etc.д. It’s really quick and easy. See the instructions below and write your Комментарии и мнения владельцев if you don’t understand anything. Let’s go!

In the settings, click on the Display tab.

  • Screen brightness;
  • Enable or disable automatic brightness;
  • Turn on the blue filter. Eye strain reduction by limiting the amount of blue color emitted by the screen;

Brightness adjustment modes

Samsung smartphones/tablets use two ways to adjust brightness:

Automatic. in this mode the device adjusts brightness automatically based on ambient light. The brighter the surroundings, the brighter the display. Auto-adjust only works on devices with a light sensor.

To find out if your device has a light sensor, go to Support.

Manual. the brightness of the screen will have to adjust yourself. This method works on all devices.

Before setting up, check which version of Android is installed on your device.

about Adaptive Display Screen Mode

The different settings represent a continuum between saturated colors and more accurate colors. Samsung devices have the ability to display very bright, saturated colors, which increase the color saturation far beyond the colors that can be represented by standard color space sRGB, used by most operating systems, the Internet, digital photos and movies.

If you’re an avid movie buff and generally like to spend time watching a good movie, you’ll definitely like the site http://kinoman.online/movies/actions/, where you will always find new releases, most importantly in good quality. the navigation resource is great, there are no ads that would distract you. But what I like better is that there’s a lot of material on one page, in our case movies online.

Great selection of action movies where you’ll find more than one movie. Where the poster itself is made large that you do not have to look closely and everything is perfectly readable, so I recommend this resource, which presents all the genres for the amateur.

Along with these settings, Samsung displays a sample image that changes in appearance when you select different settings. The sample image is a particularly poor demonstration of how accurate the colors will be, as it consists mostly of saturated colors already, instead of having a range of different color tones, and it doesn’t show human skin tones, which more clearly demonstrates any inaccuracies.

The more saturated, less accurate modes tend to impress at a glance, and the color inaccuracies are harder to initially judge. Be sure to check the photos online to see if the colors match your expectations.

Basic mode aims for the highest accuracy according to the sRGB standard, ensuring that the colors on the screen look as close as possible to how they should have looked when they were designed or encoded. If you have an AMOLED screen, this mode will not use the wide gamut of the screen its ability to represent richer colors, but it results in greater accuracy.

While the basic. The most accurate mode, different devices vary in accuracy. For example, devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 are very accurate, while some older devices are less accurate.

AMOLED photo mode is designed for relatively nice and accurate images, but increases saturation to take advantage of the wide gamut available on AMOLED screens. This mode represents a middle ground between accuracy and high color saturation.

AMOLED cinema mode is the least accurate, most saturated mode. Color saturation increases even further than in AMOLED mode, leaving colors unnaturally bright. Human skin tones are likely to look unnatural.

The terms “photo” and “movie” are rather conventional here; these modes have nothing to do with photography or video. The term “AMOLED” means that colors are enhanced to take advantage of the high color saturation available on AMOLED screens.
