MWC 2023: Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro offers 2 weeks of battery life

As part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Xiaomi once again showed itself to be a busy exhibitor. Besides its latest smartphones and an e-scooter, the Chinese tech company also presented its latest smartwatch. The Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro not only offers a chic design that is also supposed to be scratch-resistant thanks to sapphire glass. On top of that, it comes with an amazing battery life of up to 14 days. The other technical data also looks promising at first glance.

Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro comes in classic watch design

While some modern smartwatches like the Apple Watch have developed their very own design over time, other manufacturers want to stick to the classic design of analog watches. This is also quite obviously the case with the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro. It relies on a high-quality leather strap and a round dial. Alternatively, you can also get the version with a black katchu strap.

Xiaomi manufactures the case with a diameter of 46 mm and a thickness of just 11.3 mm from stainless steel. To protect the enclosed 1.47-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels from water, dirt and scratches, the manufacturer relies on a coating of sapphire glass. According to Xiaomi, the smartwatch can be worn in water up to a depth of 5 meters. A classic crown is used for control. With its help, you can navigate through the operating system.

Battery life of up to 14 days

Thanks to a brightness 600 nits, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro should be suitable for everyday use and easily visible even in bright sunshine. Depending on your mood, you should be able to choose between over 100 watch faces on the smartwatch. The selection will certainly expand. A real highlight is the battery life. According to Xiaomi, the 500 mAh battery can provide a battery life of up to 14 days. The manufacturer emphasizes that this is not the runtime with the energy-saving mode turned on or the like. Instead, it is the battery runtime during normal use. If the battery is empty, a complete charge should only take 85 minutes.

Pleasingly, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro then shows itself to be compatible when pairing the corresponding smartphone. Here, not only Android devices, but also iPhones are possible without any problems. This is not only ensured by Bluetooth 5.2. On top of that, Xiaomi again offers a dedicated app that is available in both the Google Play and Apple App Store. Apart from that, the smartwatch comes with almost standard sensors. In addition to a heart rate and blood oxygen sensor, a temperature sensor is also used. The Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro is the perfect partner for sports, at least on paper. More than 100 sports modes are supposed to be supported by the software.
