Even context recognition is a fairly complex task for a machine but it can and is done by predefined algorithmic software already. AI is just garbage marketing that is profitable for businesses right now. Consumers don't like it but brands use it as a product forcefully added to base products to drive cost, nothing more. If true "AI" ever comes to fruition, it will never be available to consumers.
Techy777, 29 Apr 2024Nothing Phone 3 Should Definitely Consider This Over The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 "Nothing' does not even use flagship Chipsets/SoC, their whole marketing is design and user experience in hardware and software. Phone 2 used a last-gen 8+ G1 chip cause it was cheaper and Qualcomm may have had a surplus since the vanilla 8 Gen 1 was poorly received by the market due to manufacturing issues leading to heating, poor efficiency and more.
Cash, 30 Apr 2024I give this "AI" bs another 3 years and its gonna die like 3D did.I sure hope so.
I actively don't use current "AI" because it can't be trusted with anything. Between the false confidence & hallucinations, I can't believe anyone actually uses it.
Assistants on phones already did most of this, and did it better.
Current AI needs to be shoved back in the lab for another 3-10 years, then roll it out the the public.
Cash, 30 Apr 2024I give this "AI" bs another 3 years and its gonna die like 3D did.AI as "marketing feature/naming" trends might quickly end
but AI function as NPU / neural network accelerator most likely will be keep use in next gen soc, i cant imagine next-gen soc without npu

I swear, if my next phone says "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that", I'm going to throw it on the ground and stomp like it was on fire!

Companies a year later when another fad pops up:
Like, there were many tech crazes. NFTs, the metaverse are examples. Those things got shot after a couple of months.
Waiting for renaming the SoC lineup to AImensity from Mediatek,AIDragon from Qualcomm,AI18 Pro chip from Apple,tAInsor by Google & finally AIxynos from Samsung subsequently,to show that how much they're into this AI $#!¥ that noone asked for in first place.
& to be fair few companies seems to have gone extra mile that appointed CEOs that look like AI bots brought straight from 2077.
How many on device AI tools do I even use? Heck I never use Google assistant. I hate how AI is being force fed to us like the search with meta option in Whatsapp or Instagram no one asked for
[deleted post]It's too late, we are entering digital age my guy. I just bought more land in the metaverse
Nothing Phone 3 Should Definitely Consider This Over The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3
But the real question is ....
will gsmarena finally only highlight the difference of the 9300+ or will they continue to just buy the entire column in bold
Gsmarena could just highlight the heading/name of the chipset in bold and only the key difference/upgrades
It would probably be even less work for the writers/editors and would communicate to us readers the few changes but for whatever reason they still just make the entire column in bold 🤷🏾♂️
